Word for the Day: Sunday, December 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. And, in my opinion, Survival is easier, in a Stable Environment. And by Stable, I don't mean like the ones on a Farm!  :-)

Weekly Theme: Week of 12/31/2017 to 1/06/2018

The Theme for this Week is Survival.  What does it mean to Survive?  According to Google, it means to "continue to live or exist, especially in spite of danger or hardship".  But is this, really the Goal of Life?  "Only" to Survive?  How about Living Well?  Thriving?  But there is a point:  The prerequisite to Thriving is Survival!

Saturday, December 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. Manifesting Release? (A bit confusing, perhaps). Something to look for, however, is Release from obstacles, that prevent effective Manifestation. So Release well!

Friday, December 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, December 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. Manifesting Aspiration? [or] Aspiring to Manifest? Both? But what's the most important thing? Aspire to be the very best that you can.

Thursday, December 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. The Contrast, in what we Manifest? [or] Manifesting Contrast? Both? Anyway, keep in mind the balance we wish to maintain, in the Contrast in our Lives: For too little Contrast can get Boring, yet too much Contrast can get Scary!

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. So how do you manifest Adaptability? Start by understanding it. A commonly used synonym is Flexibility. And how do you identify flexible, verses inflexible people? Simple: A Flexible person adapts to his/her surroundings. However, the Inflexible person "requests" that his/her Surroundings adapt to him/her!

Tuesday, December 26, 2017

Words for the Day: Tuesday, December 26, 2017

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. Agile Manifestation of Grace? (Sort of works). Note one way to Manifest both of these: Yoga. Good luck!

Monday, December 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, December 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated Manifestation? (Sounds good). Manifestation of excessive Acceleration? (Not so good, especially if this is a Motor Vehicle). But I certainly suggest Manifesting Accelerated Fun, based on the Holiday Season we are in right now!

Sunday, December 24, 2017

Words for the Day: Sunday, December 24, 2017

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. It takes Patience to get around things, that go against effective Manifestation, such as Conflicting Beliefs. And it take Tolerance to get past some of the Hilarious Mishaps, that occur when attempting to Manifest. And, above all, Manifest a Merry Christmas!

Weekly Theme: Week of December 24-30, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Manifestation.   So what does it mean to Manifest?  According to Google, it means to "display or show (a quality or feeling) by one's acts or appearance; demonstrate".  Fascinating:  In my "New Age" explorations, I got the idea that it means to "create something out of thin air"!  (Oh well, I guess that when you create, either an object or quality [such as Peace on Earth], you are "demonstrating" it?)  Anyway, let's see how this goes with the Words for this Week.

Saturday, December 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Acknowledge your Patrons, businesses! They're what's keeping you going. And yes, it can work in both directions: Acknowledge the Businesses that treat you the best.

Friday, December 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, December 22, 2017

The Word for Today is Kindness. And, yes, be Kind to your Patrons, all you Organizations. And, likewise, be Kind to the places that you Patronize. For example, if there is an issue at the company level, don't take it out on the "line staff". They have little position power in the company, and may not even be aware of the reasons for the issue you are dealing with. Above all, just be Kind.

Thursday, December 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. Organizations, encourage your Patrons. Likewise, this is a good time for any of you to Encourage the businesses and organizations you Patronize. One personal example: I use this time, to donate to my local, Public Library.

Wednesday, December 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Like yesterday, this works in both directions. The Patron needs to be Thoughtful to the Companies and/or Organizations he/she Patronizes. Likewise, Companies do well to be Thoughtful to their Patrons (or Regulars). Think, before you speak or act!

Tuesday, December 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. This works in both directions, as it is both good for Patrons to add a bit of extra Support for the Businesses or Organizations every so often (like, perhaps, once every 7 weeks, which is how long, between these Words coming back). But I said both directions: Businesses and Organizations, Support your Patrons. Let them know you appreciate them! Simple.

Monday, December 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, December 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.  Let me tell you something:  I tend to Patronize businesses that include Comfort as one of their ideals. For example, restaurants with comfortable chairs. I recently visited a Coffee House, that had, only stools to sit on, with no back support.  I submitted a review of the place, and don't plan on a followup visit.  Comfort matters!

Sunday, December 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 17, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. And what better place to be a Patron of, than a Restaurant serving Nourishing food? If that food is also delicious, so much better!

Weekly Theme: Week of December 17-23, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Patronage.  What does it mean, to be a Patron?  According to Google's 2nd Definition, a Patron is "a customer, especially a regular one, of a store, restaurant, or theater".  (These days, you are typically called "a Regular").  One of my favorite synonyms is "Supporter", which will become especially important on Tuesday.

Saturday, December 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. Ethical Prosperity? (I most certainly *Hope* so!) In fact, if you are in contact with Police Officers, who notice a lot of Cash, and they believe the Cash was acquired, via a crime, the cash will, most likely be Confiscated. The lesson here, is that "Unethical Prosperity" often doesn't last. So be Ethical *and* Prosperous!

Friday, December 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, December 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. Liberation *from* Ethics? (Please, no!) But a good Code of Ethics could Liberate you from, what often goes wrong in a "less Ethical lifetime". Because a lot of misfortune tends to be self-created.

Thursday, December 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. Principles about Wisdom? Wise Ethics? Absolutely. Need I say more?

Wednesday, December 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. I suspect that, either an Impartial set of principles, or an impartial code of ethics would be unlikely. However, either of the above, could easily include suggestions that you will strive to behave in an impartial manner. And have impartial fun!

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. Are there Consequences, to having your own set of Principles, or Code of Ethics? Of course. But I suggest that, there could be even worse consequences, if you refuse to take responsibility for your own Principles and Ethics. Why do I take a stand on this? Because only you can live your life. So live it well!

Monday, December 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, December 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. Elimination of Ethics? (Please don't!) But elimination of, what stands in the *way* of a good set of Principles, or a personal Code of Ethics makes good sense. And, above all, have fun.

Sunday, December 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. A Self-Reliant set of Principles and/or Code of Ethics? Why not? It's your life. You are responsible for it, in the end. But developing your own, rather than relying on what others tell you can be quite a challenge. (And you might even experience disagreement, from those around you, like I did). Good luck!

Weekly Themes: Week of December 10-16, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Principles and Ethics.  Principle?  Google gives you a mouthful:  "a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning".  How about Ethics?  "moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity".  "Moral Principles"?  So Ethics "include" Principles, but not the other way around.  (Interesting!)  Now how will these Themes relate to the Words for this Week?  Let's find out.

Saturday, December 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. Salvaging Expansion? (A bit confusing). [or] Expanded Salvation? (Maybe). But Spiritual Expansion could be *part* of your Salvation experience. But be selective, in what you Expand. For an expanded middle of the Human Body, due to excessive food, can get uncomfortable.

Friday, December 8, 2017

Words for the Day: Friday, December 8, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. So do we Salvage Trust? (Like, for example, if it were violated)? And how about having Faith in our Salvation? The first one can be quite difficult, as we see in the news, especially in the United States. For Violated Trust can lose Friends, your Career, and even your Freedom, if a crime was committed. Be careful!

Thursday, December 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. As one of my favorite Words, I am reluctant to joke about, how it relates to our Theme. However, when I *did* experience major Salvation in my life, I was *extremely* grateful about it! Also, in general, if you Salvage something useful, be Thankful!

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Salvaging Equality? [or] An Equal Salvation? (I tried). There's two kinds of Equality: Equal Opportunity, and Forced Conformity, both of which have been in the News. (For example, should people be coerced to behave "equally", when the US National Anthem is sung?) But Salvaging Equal Opportunity for All could be a good step to take.

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. Salvaging Prudence? [or] Prudent Salvation? (Personally, these sound, just a bit confusing). Looking at the Word Prudence itself suggests a Practical Approach to life, which doesn't require going overboard, which might throw you into "Prude Territory".

Monday, December 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, December 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. These Words and Themes cycle through, in a predictable way, yet I've missed, for a while a wonderful connection: Today appears to be a good day for Defense Attorneys. If you are accused of a Crime, your Defense Attorney is a person you need to work with, as well as you can, to have the best chance of Salvaging Innocence from the trial. And if you *are* a Defense Attorney, consider this your day.

Sunday, December 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. Are you Salvaged, so you can be Forgiven? [or] Does Forgiveness lead to "Eternal Salvation"? I'm not completely sure on either one, but they sound good.

Weekly Themes: Week of December 3-9, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Salvage and Salvation.  These are similar, yet different at the same time.  Similar, as both of them "save" something.  But different in their contexts.  Salvage, for example is used frequently in contexts, such as, "we salvaged that old ship, mainly for the value of the metals in the hull".  Salvation, however, often has a Religious Context where, what is being "saved" is your very Soul!  Let's see how this relates to the Words of this Week.

Saturday, December 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. An Authentic Addiction? (Now *That* would be a "Certificate of Authenticity" I'd Love to see!) But, in my opinion, the best thing, is for *You* to be Authentic. It might even make it easier to overcome any Addictions you are challenged with.

Friday, December 1, 2017

Word For the Day: Friday, December 1, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. So how *would* one Interpret an Addiction? (Very Carefully, I would hope!) For example, what "benefits" do you "think" the Addiction gives you? What Side Effects are caused by it? How Difficult is the Addiction to Overcome? Look carefully, as your Life may Depend on it!

Thursday, November 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. So how does Socialization work with people, challenged with Addictions? First off, they often prefer to Socialize together, which may not be the best approach (if any of them wish to Overcome their Addictions). Since my observation is, that Addictions tend to decrease, both the Quality and Quantity of your Friends, expanding your Social Horizons, seems to be a good approach.

Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. Concentrated Addictions? (Eek!) [or] Concentrating on your Addictions? Practically by definition, an Addiction, in one way or another causes the affected person to Concentrate on getting the next "dose" of, whatever he/she is Addicted to. How about, instead, Concentrating on ways to Overcome the Addiction?

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. Acceptable Addictions? (I don't know: Aren't we all addicted to air and water?) But, leaving our Theme behind for a bit: The most important one, to be Acceptable to, is You!

Monday, November 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, November 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. And no, I don't believe this means it's "good" to be Generous with your Addictions! So what  *can*  you do? How about being Generous with the work you do, to  *Conquer*  your Addictions? That is a good way to be helpful to many people.

Sunday, November 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. Addicted to Sharing? [or] Sharing your Addiction? (Please don't!) But, if you find good ways, to conquer your Addictions, please feel free to Share those!

Weekly Theme: Week of 11/26 to 12/02/2017

The Theme for this Week is Addiction.  So what is Addiction?  According to dictionary.com, it is "A physical or psychological need for a habit-forming substance".  Now, a question I've had more than once:  Does this include the "physical need" for substances needed to remain alive, such as air, water and food?  The funny thing:  Items such as Street Drugs (which is what normally makes us think of Addiction) don't start out with a "Physical Need":  It is developed, through repeated use.  Also, you don't usually think of the "Psychological need" for something, such as water.  Confusing Theme!

Saturday, November 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 25, 2017

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. As the Big Picture (or Executive Summary), these help to Simplify a topic. Perspective? Point of View? Simplicity itself!

Friday, November 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, November 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. Reflecting Simplicity? [or] A Simple Reflection? (As opposed to a complicated Reflection?) Incidentally, my understanding of the Word, Reflection is that it is either a deep form of Review, or what you see on the other side of a Mirror.

Thursday, November 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. Simple Study? (As opposed to Complicated Study?) This makes sense, because if you attempt to Study too much at once, you are unlikely to retain much of anything! One more thing: Pick topics that interest you, and studying will be simpler.

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. Simple Absorption? [or] Absorbing Simplicity? Absorbing things, is somewhat like "being a Sponge". And a Sponge is a "Simple Life Form". But whatever you do, have fun doing it!

Tuesday, November 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. Review of Simplicity? [or] A Simple Review? Both? Well, we already do Reviews at different times: Did my Shopping Trip give me what I needed in my Fridge? Did I learn enough to get a good Grade on tomorrow's Exam?

And, how we conduct *these* Reviews, can help us, to determine how we do on the Most Important Review of all: Your Life Review, which occurs when you Die!

Monday, November 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, November 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. So do we Experiment with Simplification? [or] Do we carry out Simplified Experiments? And note, that these are *not* the same thing!

Sunday, November 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. Simple Recognition? Recognizing Simplicity? Maybe both? This may be one of my simpler Word Descriptions.

Weekly Theme: Week of November 19-25, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Simplification.  To Simplify?  Make Simple?  Absolutely!  And simplifying your life can be a great step.

Saturday, November 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. Do we Resolve to Sacrifice? [or] Do we Sacrifice our Resolve? Actually, why don't we turn it all around? Let us Resolve to *KEEP* our Resolve! (And remember that we can make Resolutions anytime!)

Friday, November 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, November 17, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Sacrificing Courage? (Please, no!) [or] The Courage to Sacrifice? (Getting Warmer). Actually, Sacrificing "effectively" can take Lots of Courage.

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Words for the Day: Thursday, November 16, 2017

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  For the majority of my Facebook Friends, the following question will seem silly:  "So, are we supposed to Sacrifice our Strength and Empowerment?"  Obviously, we wouldn't want to do this!   But, if you live in a Country with a Totalitarian Government, or are the member of a Reactionary Religious Cult, you may, *Indeed* be asked to "Sacrifice your Individuality", for the "Higher Good"!  If you *are* being "Pressured" in this direction, ask yourself Why?   And Good Luck!

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. So are we to Sacrifice our Competence? (Please, no!) [but] We *can* become Competent to know, when to Sacrifice and when *not* to. Also, what to Sacrifice. For example, to further my Career, I chose to Sacrifice my "leisure time", so as to be as efficient an employee as possible. In addition, I kept the topic of Relationships out of my life. This worked, allowing me to progress through the Computer Field to the "top" of the Technical side, to now be a Consultant, specializing in Troubleshooting. But I "Sacrificed" the entire Relationship Realm, in the process. See how this works?

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.  An "Enduring" Sacrifice?  [or]  The Sacrifice of your Endurance?  (Hopefully not the second one!)  Now, as to developing and maintaining Endurance, regular attendance at Fitness Centers often comes up. That works, but there is an additional step that may help:  Yoga.

Monday, November 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, November 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. A Fertile Sacrifice? [or] Sacrifice of Fertility? Not sure what to do with these. Perhaps, for once, I'll leave it to your imagination!

Sunday, November 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. Sacrifice your Stability? (Hopefully not!) [or] A Stable environment for Sacrifice? (Not sure about this). But, in fact, the first one is something to watch out for: If the place you work tries to have you working every hour of different days, weekends and nights, leaving you in a Chaotic State, perhaps it's time for a Change!

Weekly Theme: Week of November 12-18, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Sacrifice.  So what does this mean?  One definition is, to give up something, important to you, to some form of, "higher good".  A personal example, was giving up many of my nights and weekends to the Computer Corporation I was working for.  One place I see heavy use of this word, is in Religious writings, where the "higher good" is the "featured Deity".  For example, the Old Testament included regular examples of Animal Sacrifices.  So how will *this* Theme work, with the Words for this Week?

Saturday, November 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. So are we giving Prophecies about the topic of Release? [or] Are we getting Released from Prophecy completely? Hmmm... So what do we know about Release itself? In my opinion, when you find yourself Stuck, there might easily be something, in the Scene itself that has the ability to Release you from the "Stickiness". And you may need to look closely, because the "method of Release" may not be obvious.

Friday, November 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, November 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. Prophecy about Aspiration? (Possible, including the Medical definitions). [or] Aspiring to be the best kind of Prophet? (Much better!) But remember: Anybody can Aspire to be the best Human Being they can.

Thursday, November 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. A Prophecy about Contrasts? (Possible). [or] Contrasting Prophecies? (Still possible, though I don't have examples to give). One thing about the concept of Contrast, in general: Balance is good, because too little Contrast can seem boring, yet too *much* Contrast could get, downright scary!

Wednesday, November 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. An Adaptable Prophecy? If this means it's a flexible one, that takes into account the Multidimensional Nature of Time, it works well. Because how can you Predict "the Future", when you are not sure which "version" of the Future, you are dealing with?

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 7, 2017

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. An Agile or Graceful Prophecy? [or] A Prophecy about *being* Agile and/or Graceful? Both? Why not? Obviously, we have more Questions here, than we are Answering. And *That* is, likely the way this Should be!

Monday, November 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, November 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Now, what are we accelerating today? Prophecies? Spiritual Growth? Intellect? An Automobile? Maybe be careful about the last one, lest a Police Officer is behind you!

Sunday, November 5, 2017

Words for the Day: Sunday, November 5, 2017

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. And attempting to "foretell the Future" requires *lots* of Patience, due to the concept of Multiple Realities (or the Multiverse), because Which Future are you predicting? Due to that, you need Tolerance, for when your Predictions don't "come true".

Weekly Theme: Week of November 5-11, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Prophecy.  According to Google, this means, quite simply, "a Prediction". Now, making predictions is a dicey concept, due to the Multiple Worlds View of (at least a subset of) Quantum Physics.  This Concept, making up the Multiverse (which can be Googled), suggests that there can be multiple Versions of Events.  So, if you are attempting to "be a Prophet", by "predicting the Future", which Future are you attempting to Predict?  In my opinion, where Prophecy can be valid, is is in giving Warnings.  For example, a "prediction" can be made that, if we keep "shoveling" Hydrocarbons into the Atmosphere, coastal flooding "is likely", as the Ocean level rises, due to the melting of Polar Ice.  *BUT* remember, that this is a warning, because we can change our ways.

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Acknowledge Disabilities? Well, we can surely Acknowledge people who help make life easier, for people who are challenged with Disabilities. Remember, folks: It takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!

Friday, November 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, November 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. Kindness helps the World go Around, and should be practiced, with everybody, including of course, people challenged with Disabilities. They often have difficulties relating to other people, so everything that helps them out is appreciated. Be Kind!

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. Now, we most Certainly are *not* Encouraging Disabilities. But, we *can* Encourage people, who might be challenged with one, or more Disabilities to be, the best they can be, anyway. And I can Encourage *you* (whoever you are) to be your Best, no matter who you might be!

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 1, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. So how to be thoughtful to someone who happens to be disabled? Treat him/her as a person first and often, that includes not even bringing up the Disability itself, unless it fits the context of the conversation that is in process.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. We all need Support, during our lives. It's part of being human. But this especially holds for people, challenged by one, or more Disabilities. And, what a privilege it can be, to be the one to provide that Support?

Monday, October 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, October 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Depending on the details, some people, who are challenged with one or more Disabilities may have a great deal of trouble  *being*  comfortable, either at certain times, or almost all of their day! So anything you can do, for the disabled people in your lives, to help them  *be*  comfortable will help a great deal.

Sunday, October 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. Now, a good, nourishing meal is important for anybody, which certainly includes people, challenged with disabilities. And make it delicious, too!

Weekly Theme: Week of 10/29 to 11/04/2017

The Theme for this Week is Disability.  So what does Disability mean?  In my opinion, to understand this, we need to break it down:  Dis, followed by Ability.  So what does Google say about the prefix, Dis?  "a Latin prefix meaning 'apart' 'asunder,' 'away,' 'utterly,' or having a privative, negative, or reversing force".  Now, how about Ability?  I will, this time, take Google's 2nd definition:  "talent, skill, or proficiency in a particular area".  So, if we put these two together, we get something  *far*  above what most people think of, with the word, Disability.  And I like this, because it includes Learning Disabilities and some of the usual "slowing down", that occurs, as we grow older.

Saturday, October 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. A Prosperous Diplomat? Well, if the job were done well, I would hope it would be a good career.

Friday, October 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, October 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. So would it be Liberation from Diplomacy? (Hopefully not!) What would, perhaps be better, would be Liberation from bad situations *Using* Diplomacy. Because Diplomacy, well placed can, not only prevent wars, but stop (or, at least make milder) wars that are in progress.

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. And, what better Revelation, than a Wise one? Incidentally, some are confused, about how to develop Wisdom. Yes, some of it can occur, with "proper Study". But please note, that Life Experience often gives it quicker, better, and more completely.

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Impartial Diplomacy? Actually, the closer you can get to it, the better. For one, Diplomats are often communicating with both sides of a dispute. And if one side detects favoritism towards the "other side", the entire process may completely fail, often quite spectacularly!

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. So does Diplomacy have Consequences? Of course! But, on the other hand, what occurs, with the absence of Diplomacy (i,e. War) have, often so *much* more Consequences, that Diplomacy is found to be, a most crucial process.

Monday, October 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, October 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. Eliminating the process of Diplomacy? (No!!!) But Eliminating, what gets in the way of the multiple parties getting along with each other, which *leads* to Diplomacy? Yes! Note, by the way, that Diplomacy relates well, with the Theme from three weeks ago, Mediation.

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. And these go together, because you need to be independent and capable, to be effective in the Diplomatic Corps. Self-Reliance is a good trait, no matter what you do but, at the same time, remember that there are other people around you, to provide assistance, when needed.

Weekly Theme: Week of October 22-28, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Diplomacy.  So what does this mean?  According to Google, it is "the profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations, typically by a country's representatives abroad".  As such, it makes a great career, not only useful, but also quite rewarding.

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. "Expanded Intercourse"? (Sounds a bit frightening!) [or] Dialogue about Expansion? (This might work). What I think works well, is to Expand your Communication Skills. If you need help with this, there's even an organization that worked well for me: Google "Toastmasters International". And above all, have fun!

Friday, October 20, 2017

Words for the Day: Friday, October 20, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. So how do these two Words relate to our two Themes (which basically combine, into "Communication")? One way, is to gain enough confidence, so as to Trust your own ability to Communicate with others. And, likewise, have Faith that the communications, themselves will work out, in a harmonious way. Does this always work? Of course not! But, with practice, we can all improve.

Thursday, October 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. Now *That* is something, which helps *all* type of communications, whether any "flavor" of Intercourse (even Sexual), or Dialogue between two (or more) people. If you can think of something, that you are thankful for, let the other person know! (Even when you're "tangled up in each other"). Note that Gratitude always comes on a Thursday. Do you know what else always falls on Thursday? The Thanksgiving Holiday, of course!

Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Equal opportunity to communicate? Does this exist in our, usual settings (meaning chaotic, with interruptions)? Do you listen? How do you hold your side of the conversation? Do you talk with your mouth full? Questions all over the place.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. Prudent Intercourse? Yes, no matter what the connotation. (Try looking up "Social Intercourse", to see a different angle to that half of our Theme). But, even with the "most known connotation", don't go overboard and become a Prude! Strive for balance.

Monday, October 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, October 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. Innocent Communication? Sure, if it's honest on both sides. And *that* is something, to strive for!

Sunday, October 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. I guess, in this case, there "could" be a reason, for someone to ask forgiveness for their usage of, at least one of our Themes! (But look closer, there are other usages for Intercourse, than sexual: For example, Social Intercourse). Finally, note that Forgiveness works in both directions: It can also be granted to another.

Weekly Themes: week of October 15-21, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Intercourse and Dialogue.  People often only think of one angle of the word, Intercourse.  But Google has a surprise for you, if you enter "Define Intercourse":  "communication or dealings between individuals or groups".  (In fact, there is a phrase, "Social Intercourse", with a different connotation from the "usual" sexual one).  And thus, there *is* a connection between the two parts of our Theme this week.  In fact, in my opinion, even the usual Sexual connotation of Intercourse, is a form of communication (or dialogue) between two people!  So communicate well.

Saturday, October 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. So what, in a Joke, would make it worthy of the, coveted "Certificate of Authenticity"? Based on the Parameters of, what I feel is asked for, in these Weekly Themes and Daily Words, this is enough!

Friday, October 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, October 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. So tell me, people: How *do* you Interpret Humor? (In fact, has *Anyone* ever figured this out?) Comments welcome. But, to change the subject slightly: A great career, as an Interpreter, might be waiting for you, if you are fluent in multiple languages.

Thursday, October 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. Socialized Humor? (Have you ever attended a Comedy Club? When I did, I learned a "Helpful Hint": Be careful about sitting in the Front Row: You *WILL* be picked on!) Here's an idea: You have Sports Bars all over the USA (if not the World), so a "bunch of people" around around TV Sets in the Bar, to watch Sports Events. How about something similar, but aimed around Live Stand-up Comedy Shows on, say, Comedy Central? You never know...

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. Concentrated Humor? (Stand-up Comedian Convention?) Alternatively, you can concentrate on the humor around you. Anyway, have a great time.

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. Acceptable Humor? It's easier to say what "Unacceptable Humor" might look like. (For example, kicking someone in the Groin and then, laughing it up! In my opinion, *Most* "Practical Jokes" fit this category, especially if the Affected Person is not "Made Right" at the end. "Making Fun" [or Teasing] Minorities or people with Disabilities, in my opinion is *ALWAYS* Unacceptable!)

So keep this in mind, when evaluating "Stand Up Comedians".

Monday, October 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, October 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. Humor about Generosity? (Like the TV Ad [not sure what company], where a Genii says he will only give One Wish, but it will be Generous. So the poor soul asks for "A Million Bucks". Whoosh! There are, suddenly a Million Bucks [male deer] all around the person!)

Or how about Generous Humor? This is, quite simply applying Humor to the way you approach your life. In other words, don't go overboard. But when a humorous way of imparting a fact becomes available, use it instead of giving the fact, say, in a monotone. Sense of Humor? Yes!

Sunday, October 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday), is Sharing. And what, better Thing to Share with your Friends than a Good Joke? By the way, I consider a good Sense of Humor, crucial to good, Mental Health. Have Fun!

Weekly Theme: Week of October 8-14, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Humor.  (Finally, we get to Lighten Up for a week).  Even when I "Think" I know the meaning of a Word, I Still, often check Google.  So Humor is (among other things), "the quality of being amusing or comic, especially as expressed in literature or speech".  So let's see how this relates to this Week's Words.

Saturday, October 7, 2017

Words for the Day: Saturday, October 7, 2017

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. The two of these, together make up the "Big Picture View", which is *absolutely* vital to effective Mediation. Because you had *better* know *what* is going on, on both sides of the issue at hand. And, generally, it is good to know the "big picture", wherever you work (or learn). Happy Perspective Hunting!

Friday, October 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, October 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. Mediating Reflections? [or] Reflecting Mediation? (Not sure about either). But keep in mind, that we can, often be Mirrors to Each Other. How does this work? If you see, say, a type of behavior in another person that bothers you, look within, to see if you, also exhibit that behavior. For their must have been something, inside yourself, to trigger your reaction to the behavior in the other person. Incidentally, another meaning of Reflection, is a deep, kind of Review.

Thursday, October 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. So are you Mediating, between Two Fields of Study? [or] Are you Studying the topic of Mediation itself? (I'll leave these two, to your imagination!) Now, on Study itself, be selective! Since it takes time and effort to, actually "Learn" a Field of Study, you typically don't have a lot of time, to "try out" a bunch of Topics (unless you are Retired, and have enough Resources, to not have to work). And even if you *do* have a lot of Resources, you are likely to get overwhelmed, if you try to study too much, in too little time. (I know: I tried, in Community College, to take two Classes at once, and had to drop out of one of them). And another "hint", that you are studying too much, is if you stop having fun. Word to the wise.

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. So what are we doing today? Mediating a dispute between two Sponges? (LOL!) The place where I find Absorption most helpful, by the way, is in certain Teaching Environments, especially the "Immersion Method" of learning alternative Languages. It also shows up, in Science Fiction where, to learn something, you go to sleep, and the "Knowledge" somehow flows into you, through a speaker in your Pillow or, alternatively, through Pills you take.

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. There are many types of Review (even, possibly of the success, or lack thereof, of a Mediation Session). But first off, Review might follow one, or more of the Experiments you ran yesterday. (Yes, these Words can, occasionally build on each other). But Review well, and have fun doing it!

Monday, October 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, October 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. Mediation, between two Experimenters, who don't agree about the results of an Experiment? Experimental Mediation? Now, I'd really have to think about, how the second one works! But, in my opinion, *all* of Life is an Experiment.

Sunday, October 1, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 1, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. And, besides Recognizing the fact that I acted as Mediator, between Mom and Dad, when I was a Child, I also Recognize those, who have assisted me, when I was the one with a Dispute with another. It is always good, to Recognize those who help you through the years.

Weekly Theme: Week of October 1-7, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Mediation.  This Theme makes a great Career.  Google defines it as, "intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it; arbitration".  And it works on many levels:  Personally (i.e. Marriage Counselors), Professionally (i.e.  disputes between corporations), or even Globally (i.e.  Mediation between countries).  In a major sense, this is what occurs in our Court System, where Lawyers represent each side of the dispute, and the Judge acts as the Mediator.  Good luck, folks!

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. And yes, I know the old Joke: "I Resolve to keep my Resolve"! But, perhaps better than that would be, "I Resolve to Cooperate with others, better". Because Cooperation helps the World Turn Around (quite Literally, it seems!) And, finally, Resolve to have fun, in the process.

Friday, September 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, September 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Now, it certainly takes Courage to form a Cooperative Relationship with someone, especially if you don't agree on certain "issues". But, please note that it can *also* take Courage, to form a Competitive Relationship with someone. (Say, you are running against this other person in a Political race). There can be common ground, especially if you have common interests, with the person you are competing with. This can help foster cooperation, in other areas of life, than where the actual "competition" occurs.

Words for the Day: Thursday, September 28, 2017

The Words for Yesterday (Thursday) were Strength and Empowerment. Both of these help, a great deal with Cooperation, since you can enter the "Cooperative Relationship", in a "strong and assertive" manner. But there is a funny thing: These two Words also help, with the opposite of Cooperation, "Competition". So you are covered, either way.

Wednesday, September 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. Are you Competent to Cooperate? (Or, for that matter, are you Competent to, effectively Compete?) Wow, what questions to ask: We might as well ask if we are competent to exist! (Well, are you? LOL!)

Tuesday, September 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. Cooperative Endurance? (What? Like Tag Teams?) Now, I *will* suggest that extended periods of Cooperation are *much* easier to Endure, than extended periods of Competition. Why? Because it just "feels good" to work together with other people. And, in my opinion, it's also more fun. And, most importantly, you accomplish *much* more.

Monday, September 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, September 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Now, practically by definition, Fertility is a "Cooperative Endeavor". Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way, since some people seem to, even enjoy forcing themselves on others. It's called, in some circles, "Love of Power". Often, the best first step is simple: "Just Say No!"

Sunday, September 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. A Stable Cooperative? (As opposed to a chaotic one?) [or] Cooperative Stability? (This one might work!) Anyway (in my opinion), a Stable Environment is great for Cooperation!

Weekly Theme: Week of September 24-30, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Cooperation.  So what is this, besides the opposite of Competition?  Google says it is "the process of working together to the same end".  My take?  There are many levels of "end":  Anything from a cooperative project by two people, to the Shared Goal of World Peace.  In between, includes things like corporate goals, such as improving productivity or opening a new, Branch Office.  One thing about Cooperation that I've noticed over the years:  You tend to make a lot more friends this way, than you likely would, with Competition.

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 23, 2017

The Word for Yesterday (Saturday) was Release. If the Blood, in your Circulatory System is blocked, finding a way to Release it, is be a matter of Life and Death. But, even if your life isn't in such dire straits, finding ways to Release yourself from the ordinary Blocks and Barriers of life, is quite beneficial.

Friday, September 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, September 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. I can imagine it now: "I Aspire to be the Best, Circulatory System as I can". And why not treat your Body Organs as Intelligent beings? (I regularly hold dialogues with mine!) Have a good Weekend, at least as best you can.

Thursday, September 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. And yes, before any of you do, I'll acknowledge the fact that, in a Medical Test, Contrast Fluid can be Circulating through your Body. (It felt itchy afterwards: Avoid this test, if you routinely can). But do, take into account the level of Contrast in your life. Because too little contrast can seem Boring, yet too much Contrast can get, downright scary!

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. An Adaptable (Flexible) Circulatory System> Well, some times, blood can be thick and other times, it can be thin. Simple as that! And it works elsewhere too: How well do your Library Books circulate, for example? Do they stagnate in the Stacks? Or do people in the community read these books and, even better, hold meetings about their content?

Tuesday, September 19, 2017

Words for the Day: Tuesday, September 19, 2017

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. And you, most certainly want an Agile, as well as Graceful Circulatory System, whether it is in your body, or in your Community (such as the Circulatory System of the Public Library). I'm still recovering from Yesterday's Mistake but, if it had to be made, I'm glad it was with a word as good as Generosity!

Monday, September 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, September 18, 2017

The *Real* Word for Yesterday (Monday) was Acceleration. Sorry, folks, though I *Really* wanted it to be Generosity! But you only need to wait Three Weeks, to re-experience Generosity. But, that said, I guess Accelerated Circulation must be good for Something!

-----------------------------------

For historical purposes, the incorrect entry follows, in Italics:

-----------------------------------

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. Generous Circulation? [or] Circulating Generosity? (Both make *some* sense, but I like the second one better). But remember that Generosity helps the World go around and, often, is a way to eliminate (or at least decrease) conflicts, whether on a personal, group, or even national and international levels.

Sunday, September 17, 2017

Words for the Day: Sunday, September 17, 2017

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. Patient Circulation? Why not? It takes patience for everything else. In fact, patience is something that helps with everything else. And Tolerance? Tolerating what is Circulating? Again, why not?

Weekly Theme: Week of September 17-23, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Circulation.  So what does this mean?  According to Google, "movement to and fro or around something, especially that of fluid in a closed system".  "Fluid in a Closed System?"  You mean like Blood?  Amazing!  But not the only thing that might "circulate" in a community.  How about Library Books?  Does that blow your mind?  Let's see how this works this week!

Saturday, September 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Now, do we Celebrate Acknowledgment, or Acknowledge Celebrations? Both? Neither? Not cut and dried? (The latter...) By the way, just like it took Courage to Encourage last Thursday, it takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!

Friday, September 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, September 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. Now Human Kindness is *Definitely* something to Celebrate, when it is found. Like, in our recent bouts with Mother Nature (which include, Internationally, Earthquakes, in addition to Hurricanes, Cyclones and Tornadoes), we find many examples of how kind people can be, when they find others, around them helpless around Mother Nature. That's what we celebrate!

Thursday, September 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. So do we Celebrate Encouragement? [or] Do we Encourage Celebrations? Both *could* occur, though the Celebrations to Encourage are well-run ones, that are kind to the people around them.

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Celebrating Thoughtfulness? [or] A Thoughtful Celebration? Both sound good, but there's something special about the second one. Because we get examples, all over the place, of thoughtless Celebrations, including Spring Break at Universities. But there's no reason things have to be this way. Think before you Speak or Act!

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. And what better to Celebrate, besides a good, well oiled Support Group? So how does this actually occur? Do you have such a thing? Well, many of us have Family and Friends, who will help, as best they can. I don't know your situation, but most of us have unusual situations, through the years, where things are not cut and dried. Resources get stretched thin, debts come due, multiple people ask for help from multiple directions, and so forth. (Even if you aren't directly affected, you know others who are). One thing that helps, by the way, is to support other people as well. Balance, folks!

Monday, September 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, September 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. The problem, today is that not everyone is comfortable,. (That would be true anytime. But here, we have three Hurricanes: Harvey, Irma, Jose? How comfortable can you be, being buffeted all over Planet Earth?) But remember, there are Primary Experience and Secondary Experiences. The Primary Experience would, of course be where you are contending with the winds, rain and storm surge right at your front door,. Secondary experience would be the rest of us, watching all of this on TV Sets (while comfortable [hopefully]). So Good Luck Everybody!

Sunday, September 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. And what is better to celebrate, than a good, delicious and nourishing meal?

Weekly Theme: Week of September 10=16, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Celebration.  What does this mean?  According to Google, it is "the action of marking one's pleasure at an important event or occasion by engaging in enjoyable, typically social, activity".  In other words, among other things, we celebrate important holidays, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and good results, with local Sports teams.  Electronically, we can add certain milestones, in our use of Social Media.  The only issue I have, is the timing of this Theme, with some Earth events, such as Hurricanes.  Obviously, we need balance in our lives, and compassion towards others, when events don't appear to call for celebration.  And we can be there, to help other people be able to celebrate, when things improve.  Good luck everyone.

Saturday, September 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. A Prosperous Revelation? (Getting rich, on your "Revelations"? I guess if you write a best-selling book...) [or] A Revelation about Prosperity? (Books about Money? The problem is to discern which ones might actually help). Here's one "Revelation about Prosperity": It's *not* all about money. You can also have a Prosperous Imagination, for example, allowing you to become a successful author.

Friday, September 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, September 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. A Revelation about Liberation? [or] A Liberated Revelation? (The first one is "almost" understandable: For example, the Revelation could be about how you can Liberate yourself from the "usual, everyday boxes" that people often subject themselves to). And don't forget to have, Liberated fun!

Thursday, September 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. And if you are going to deal with a Revelation, why not it be a Wise one? And how about Revelations about Wisdom? First off, how do you get it? Weekend Workshops? Reading the "right" Books? Learning from the "right" Teachers? (or Gurus:) Life Experience? Actually, the last one has more weight than you might think. Remember, nobody but you can live your Life. So live wisely!

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Revelation about Impartiality? (Besides how hard it is to, either find or achieve?) Or an Impartial Revelation? (The closest I can think of, for that is passing a Revelation you received from "outside your usual waking consciousness" without modification. See, we all have our "multi-colored Glasses" to look out of [modified from the cliche about "rose colored glasses], which makes impartiality so tricky). Comments are always welcome!

Tuesday, September 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. Are there Consequences, for stating (or even following) Revelations? Probably. But I suggest that there are *also* Consequences for ignoring Revelations, whether ones you "received" (yet refused to pass on), or ones that you saw or heard from others (especially if you "felt something" when you saw or heard it).

Monday, September 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, September 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. Eliminate all Revelations? (Goodness! I hope not!) But, you could certainly have Revelations, about how to Eliminate what doesn't work in your life. Think about that!

Sunday, September 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. A Revelation of Self-Reliance? A Self-Reliant Revelation? Most likely, both have their place. But, as we get through this Week, you will find that there is more to it, than self-reliance, since "no one is an Island unto themself".

Weekly Theme: Week of September 3-9, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Revelation.  So what is Revelation, besides the ability to Reveal?  In addition, Google calls it, "a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way".  Finally, there is a book in the Christian Bible with this name.  What does it mean to you?  Feel free to comment, either here or on Facebook.

Saturday, September 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. A Philosophy of Expansion? (If Spiritual or Intellectual Expansion, fine. But be careful about "expansion around the middle, due to too much delicious food"). But how about an Expanded Philosophy? That could work well. And make sure to keep fun and humor in that Philosophy.

Friday, September 1, 2017

Words for the Day: Friday, September 1, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. Do you Trust your Personal Philosophy? Does your Philosophy include Faith in the Universe? If so, based on my experience, you are definitely on the right track. But be careful in everyday life. Because, on a personal level, Trust needs to be Earned and Developed. Also, Faith (especially if in a person and/or a concept found in a book) must not be blind.

Thursday, August 31, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. Now, a Philosophy of Gratitude is Awesome! Being thankful for what you receive is something to always keep in mind, as you go through your day. In fact, in my opinion, Gratitude (along with Kindness) helps the World go around! Need I say more?

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. An Equal Philosophy? [or] A Philosophy of Equality? I like the second one better, though there are, at least two ways, to approach the "definition and usage" of the word "Equality". For example, the way I like the concept, "equality" is with the usage, "Equal Opportunity". But be careful about of a form of "equality", known as "Forced Conformity": That doesn't feel so good to me.

Tuesday, August 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. A Philosophy of Prudence? A Prudent Philosophy? Both, I think. But Prudence is, basically about being Practical. So it all works out. (Just don't go Overboard and "turn into a Prude"!)

Monday, August 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, August 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. A Philosophy of Innocence? (as opposed to a Philosophy of Guilt?) [or] An Innocent Philosophy? (Hmmm... Guilty Philosophy?) Obviously, some of these go together better than others! But I guess this *can* bring up a question: How Innocent is *your* Philosophy?

Sunday, August 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. Would anybody ever "need" to ask Forgiveness for their Personal Philosophy? I can think of, at least a "few" Philosophies that might get you in trouble if you lived by them, including a humorous take on the Golden Rule: "He who has the Gold makes the Rules"! But, in my opinion, if you are a kind person who helps those around you, you are fine!

Weekly Theme: Week of 8/27 - 9/02/2017

The Theme for this Week is Philosophy.  So what does Google say about this?  The first part (before bringing academics into it) is, "the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence".  One question I've heard before:  "Does everybody have a 'personal Philosophy'?  Should they?"  My personal take:  Yes and Yes!  Now:  Some have tried to give me exceptions, such as repeat criminals, who are in and out of County Jails in multiple places.  I had a chance to discuss Philosophy with one example.  What I got from his was in two parts:  1:  "Life's a Bitch and Then you Die", and 2. "Get what you can, When you can".  Okay.  I most certainly don't "agree" with either of those, but can understand how he got them, especially when told that his Father sold illegal drugs for a living, and ended up with 20 Years in Prison!

So what's Your Philosophy of Life?  It might be worth taking the time and effort to find out!

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. An Authentic Education? Authentic Teachers? (as opposed to impostors, in the classroom?) Incidentally, there *is* something, akin to a "Certificate of Authenticity" for an Education: The Diploma. But, so far, I have not seen a "Certificate of Authenticity" for a Human Being. If Collectors Plates can have them, why not people?

Friday, August 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, August 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. To keep with, at least one of our Themes, requires a couple, simple questions: "How do you Interpret your Education so far? What further steps would be beneficial?" And what steps *would* be appropriate? This could be anything from picking topics for Google Searches, and the reading of linked articles; all the way to taking evening classes at, either a local Community College, or a local Tech Institute.

Thursday, August 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. Keeping with our Themes: Some classrooms seem like Social Entities. (But not all). Also, there is a Social, Political and Charitable Entity, based on schooling called the PTA (Parent Teacher Association), As a child, I recall my Mother attending meetings at my School. Anyway, be social and learn well. :-)

Wednesday, August 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. And this fits in well with our Themes, since Concentrating on what you are learning, helps a great deal with the results of the class(s) you are taking. Incidentally, I consider Concentration to be a Synonym for Focus.

Tuesday, August 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. An Acceptable Education? Acceptable Teachers? Well, the subject matter being taught makes a difference. For example, would it be acceptable to teach people how to be excellent Bank Robbers? And this works both ways: It is your responsibility to choose acceptable topics to learn in school (or other ways, people learn -- Online, for example).

Monday, August 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, August 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. So what does it mean to be, say, a Generous Teacher? It can be as simple as allowing students in your Office, between classes, or after School. Also, if you learn something well in School, yet find fellow students having trouble, it can be quite Generous of you to lend a helping hand. I made some good friends, both in High School and College doing this. Generosity works!

Sunday, August 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. And, if you got a good education (what out Themes have in common), wouldn't you *want* to share the results? There are many ways to do so, for example, becoming a Teacher yourself. But others exist too, like writing a book, running BLOGs, and more. Share and share alike.

Weekly Themes: Week of August 20=26, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Education and Teaching.  These sound, practically alike yet, according to plugging "education vs teaching" into Google, there *are* differences  --  perhaps quite a few!  For example example, according to an article on bayt.com, "Education is a process, while Teaching is a profession".  I definitely recommend more reading on this subject.  For the purpose of this week's Weekly Themes, we look more at what is common between them:  learning what you didn't know before.  Why not take up a new topic?  And have fun!

Saturday, August 19, 2017

Words for the Day: Saturday, August 19, 2017

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. So how important is the "Big Picture" (what our two Words give us), to Retention of what you are learning? First, in my opinion, the *failure* to know this Big Picture eliminates the very *reason* to continue with the rest of the class!

Friday, August 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, August 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. So, are we to Retain our Reflection? [or] Are we to Reflect our Retentions? But seriously, one meaning of Reflection is a *Deep* type of Review, which can *definitely* help (i.e. in an academic environment) with retention of course material.

Thursday, August 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 17, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. Both the High School, and Community College I attended, "way back", had actual classes, on "How to Study". Because the way you Study has a lot, to do with how well you Retain the course material, for whatever class you are taking. As an Experiment, I just plugged "Study Techniques" into Google, getting wonderful information, free for the reading. Good luck!

Wednesday, August 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. Absorb, to Retain? Why not? Sponges retain the water that they absorb (at least until they dry out). Why not Retain the Foreign Languages that you absorb, if you participate in the Immersion Training, type of language teaching? And, of course, have fun.

Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. So are we to Review Retention? [or] Retain a Review? Both? Neither? Anyway, in an Academic setting, good Reviewing techniques help with the Retention of Class materials. That's why I like Textbooks, that put a short Review at the end of each Chapter, especially if they, then include a few sample questions that might, later, appear on the Examination.

Monday, August 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, August 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. We "experiment around", in our lives, to see what works, and what doesn't work. One Michael Concept is the Nine Needs. For if we understand what we need, we have something to work with.

Sunday, August 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. So, do we Recognize what we Retain? (Does this even make any sense?) So let's just say that I like to Recognize those, who help me through my life. So recognize away!

Weekly Theme: Week of August 13-19, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Retention.  So what does this mean?  The first thing Google says is, "the continued possession, use, or control of something".  (Hmmm...   Does this include the medical condition called, "Water Retention"?)  But there are other connotations, too.  Like, for example, how well do we Retain what we Learn?  One example is two ways to teach Chemistry:  The best way, in my opinion, is where you do the experiments yourself.  That way, you can see what works, what doesn't, and (possibly) how bad your fingers feel, if you get the wrong chemical on them!  So, also in my opinion, the newer (and more "cost effective") way of teaching Chemistry has, either Class videos and/or demonstrations by the professors, instead of student experiments.  Also, to better retain what I read, I've found it best, if I have privacy, because reading the book aloud is Quite effective.  Good luck!

Saturday, August 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. "I hereby Resolve to Preserve my Resolve"! Need I say more? (Feel free to comment).

Friday, August 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, August 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Preservation of Courage? [or] Courage to Preserve? Both? Wow. Both work! Building on yesterday, you can also develop the Courage to say, "No!"

Thursday, August 10, 2017

Words for the Day: Thursday, August 10, 2017

The Words for Today are Strength and Empowerment. Do you Know your own Strength? Do you Feel Empowered? Can you Preserve all of this? Do you want to? Lots of questions here! It is, of course, important to express your True Self, when you can (i.e. when you are "just yourself", as opposed to "playing a role", such as a policeman or store clerk). Often the best start, in these arenas is to learn How, as well as When, to apply the concept of "No".

Wednesday, August 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. Are you competent? Don't worry, trick question. (It usually needs a subject, for example). But this *does* bring up the fact, that it *is* important to be competent to be yourself.

Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. So How do you Preserve Endurance? (For that matter, how do you develop it in the first place?) The "usual suspects" come to mind (i.e. Health and Fitness Clubs. Gyms. Places like YMCA). But one thing is often overlooked. I recommend adding Yoga to the mix.

Monday, August 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, August 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Fertile Preservation? [or] Preservation by Fertility? Second sounds better to me. For example, the "usual connotation" for Fertility is part of the task, of Preserving our Species. [Oh? Part?] Yes. Other steps, to preserve our Species (as well as others on Planet Earth) has to do with, quite simply, taking care of the Planet Herself! For example, if our Air and Water is too poisoned, to breathe and drink, what good is "Being Fruitful and Multiplying"?

Sunday, August 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. So are we to Stabilize our Preservation? [or] Preserve our Stability? I like the Second one better, though periods of Stability make it easier to Preserve "things". So lets see how the Words, this week relate to our Theme. (For example, on which Days, will it be easier to Preserve your Fun?)

Weekly Theme: Week of August 5-12, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Preservation.  So what does it mean to Preserve something?  According to Goggle, it means to, "maintain (something) in its original or existing state".  Now, one way to do that is through the Theme, two weeks ago:  Archive.  (In other words, Preserve by keeping backups).  But not everything is Digital.  We have Concepts to Preserve also!  For example, many think we should Preserve our Humanity.  What do you think?

Saturday, August 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. Release from Analysis? (Not on *my* watch!) Analysis of Release? (That's more like it!) So do you often feel like you're stuck in a Box? Do you then wish there were a way out? Look closely around your Environment for something akin to a "Release Lever". It's function may not be obvious but, at times like this (these Words cycle every seven weeks): Something is left, to provide a way out. Why? Mercy, of course!

Friday, August 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, August 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. Analysis of this Word is unusual, since it has multiple connotations, some of them Medical. But my favorite, is where I Aspire to be the best that I can, at all times. Ponder that.

Thursday, August 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Contrasting Analysis? [or] Analysis of the concept of Contrast? The best Analysis I have, of Contrast is how it needs to be balanced: Too little Contrast can be Boring, yet too Much Contrast can be downright Frightening! Take control of the Contrast, in your life.

Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. So how do we Analyze this? First off, Adaptability relates to Flexibility, a useful trait. For example, a Flexible person tends to Adapt to his/her Surroundings. But an Inflexible person asks his/her Surroundings to adapt to him/her!

Tuesday, August 1, 2017

Words for the Day: Tuesday, August 1, 2017

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. So, continuing from Yesterday, let's Analyze these two Words. Yesterday, we measured Acceleration, found that, in my opinion, you can Accelerate Intellectual and Spiritual Growth, but not Motor Vehicles (at least excessively), lest you get a Speeding Ticket. Today is different! For example, to achieve and develop Grace, people have tried Spiritual Labyrinths. (My closest one is at the Millbrook Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC). But what you learn, in Labyrinth Walking is to walk *very* slowly! Believe it or not, you also develop Agility that way. Good luck, folks!

Monday, July 31, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, July 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated Analysis? [or] Analysis of the tendency of people, operating Motor Vehicles, to Accelerate them to levels, way beyond recommended limits? In the second case, be careful, because there could be laws involved!

Sunday, July 30, 2017

Words for the Day: Sunday, July 30, 2017

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.  So, you Patiently Analyze why you live a Tolerant life?  Sounds good enough for me!

Weekly Theme: Week of 7/30 - 8/05/2017

The Theme for this Week is Analysis.  According to Google, Analysis is, basically "detailed examination of the elements or structure of something".  Sounds simple to me.  But analyzing your life, as you are living it, has benefits.  For one, you are less likely to make mistakes, if you anticipate them in advance.  But, whatever your analysis, leave room for fun in your life.

Saturday, July 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Acknowledging your Archives? Yes: Public Libraries provide *many* benefits, to the communities they serve. They *deserve* Acknowledgement. And remember: It takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!

Friday, July 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, July 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. Kindness at Archives? Archived Kindness? Both? Anyway, Kindness helps the World go around. Be Kind every day.

Thursday, July 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday. July 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. "Encouraging your Archives"? Well, Public Libraries actually need encouragement at times, since they often operate on "Shoestring Budgets". The local one, where I live holds an Awesome Yearly Book Sale. And the best part? Those who Encourage the Chapel Hill Library (my local example), with memberships get first crack at those books!

Wednesday, July 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. And yes, when you use your "Local Archives" (i.e. Public Libraries), please be Thoughtful, and avoid loud noises. Don't damage the books, CDs or DVDs. Don't litter. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. In my opinion, being Thoughtful means to think, before speaking and/or acting.

Tuesday, July 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. So, if you saw a billboard, saying, "Support your Local Archive", what do you think it means? Public Library? Well, they *do* deserve support, and often don't have a lot of Government support. And does it work, in the other direction? I consider the fact that I can read books, without purchasing them, as "Intellectual Support". So, in my opinion, it can work in all directions.

Monday, July 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, July 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. For Today's Word, I'm going to equate Archives, with their best-known, public version, the Public Library. And yes, I've experienced Comfortable, as well as UN-Comfortable Libraries. So what made a Branch Library, in San Francisco uncomfortable? For some reason, in the summer, they didn't order Air Conditioning. Instead, a manager shared with me, they ordered De-Humidifiers! (They cost less). Now, the one part works fine: The air will be dry, which helps keep paper dry. BUT!!! It does it, by heating the air. And, in the summer, that made the Library Climate seem, quite a bit like Phoenix, Arizona! (I lasted about 15 minutes, before leaving, without taking any books out). Oh well!

Sunday, July 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. Good, delicious nourishing Archives? Perhaps if you were a Silverfish (insect that eats paper), or a termite (insect that eats wood and paper). But people? They "consume" books in a different way, by reading them. And I think they are more nourishing, that way!

Weekly Theme: Week of July 23-29, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Archives.  So what are Archives, anyway?  First off, thank your local Public Library!  Also, think of the Gutenberg Project, a project to digitize our books and documents.  Finally, think of where I work, the Akashic Records, sort of like a "Cosmic Public Library", where all of the details of our lives are saved.  In other words, a very important concept.

Saturday, July 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. So how *does* one Develop (or Maintain) a Strategy of Prosperity? I guess this is another Question, best "answered" with another question: "Does it help to examine Strategies that are *Not* Prosperous?" Now, one "strategy" would be to examine the term, "Prosperity" a little deeper. For example, it's not always about money. For example, you can have a prosperous Imagination, which helps a lot, if you are an Author. Just a start, but anything helps.

Friday, July 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, July 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. So are we to be "liberated", from the need to maintain a Strategy of Life? (In my opinion, that would be going in the wrong direction). But how about developing, and maintaining a Strategy to live a liberated life? For example, don't take steps, that obviously deprive you of your Liberty. In other words, don't become one, of a countless number of "Dumb Criminals" (which are detailed in countless books, TV Shows and YouTube Clips, among other places). So be careful, but have fun.

Thursday, July 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. And, in my opinion, a Wise Strategy is the best kind. In addition, a Strategy of developing your Wisdom is also great. (Sometimes, these Words and Themes go together well!)

Wednesday, July 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. So how would one develop a Strategy of Impartiality? (Or, for that matter, an Impartial Strategy?) First off, Impartiality is something highly sought after, yet rarely found, especially where it is most looked for: Providers of our News! Even if "complete impartiality" is hard to accomplish, going in that direction (i.e. looking around you, realistically, instead of through "Rose Colored Glasses") is a good step to take.

Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. Are there Consequences to having a Strategy? Likely. But let's turn it around: Are there Consequences to *Refusing* to maintain a conscious Strategy? Also likely! Because a Strategy of No Strategy is *Still* a Strategy. (And if you are confused by the last Sentence, you are *not* alone!)

Monday, July 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, July 17, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. Eliminate Strategy? Please, no! But I *could* see developing a Strategy, of identifying, and then Eliminating things that don't work in your life. In fact, that sounds like a Great "Strategy of Life"!

Sunday, July 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. Now, a Strategy of Self-Reliance sounds great, of course, but shouldn't be the end-all, because there *are* other people out there, and we *can* work well together, if the correct Strategy is used. And one Strategy to always keep in mind, is to recognize the importance of including Fun in your life.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 16-22, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Strategy.  The context, where I know this Word best, is as a Chess Player.  Strategy is "long-range planning: in Chess, as opposed to Tactics, where you have to be extra careful, move by move.  Of course, Strategy and Tactics go together well, because the best kind of Strategy, is based on "Combinations" of Tactical moves.  There is an excellent Wikipedia article on this, a part of a larger article on the topic of Chess itself.  But there are Strategies, in how to live your life, in general also.  It depends on what you wish to accomplish, what you are willing to invest, and how you use existing frameworks, such as School and Business to help you along.  Happy planning!

Saturday, July 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. So when is Expansion Useful? I most certainly find it Useful to Expand my Intellectual and Spiritual Growth. Less Useful, is expansion "around my Middle" (typically caused by eating *lots* of delicious food). So have fun, but be careful!

Friday, July 14, 2017

Words for the Day: Friday, July 14, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. These are both Useful Words, but be careful: Trust must be earned, and Faith should not be blind. That said, I can still Trust All That Is (or the Tao), and have Faith in the Universe.

Thursday, July 13, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 13, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. In my opinion, this is one of the *most* Useful Words out there (right along side Kindness). The way these Words work, this one will always be on a Thursday. Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday. Coincidence? I don't *think* so!

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Is it Useful to be Equal? Some might say, "No. I want to be Superior!" But then we get into, in my opinion, the concept of Value Judgement. One person might say, "I am superior to you". But what are they actually saying? Pretty much nothing, because "superiority" and "inferiority" only can work, with Objective Measurements. For example, there are *many* people, who could run a 100 Yard Dash faster than me. But, on the other hand, I understand Computer Operating Systems better than a great majority of people (mainly, because "Operating System Design" is not a popular course in College). Now, my skill helps me to understand how the Human Brain corresponds to a Computer. But the people who beat me in the foot race might be more likely to escape a Wild Animal Attack. The best form of Equality, in my opinion, is Equal Opportunity.

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  Is it Useful to be Prudent?  In my opinion, Yes.  Is it Useful to "go overboard and become a Prude"?  Not as much! But here's a Bi-Directional situation:  A Balanced Life fosters Prudence.  [and]  It is Prudent to Live a Balanced Life.

Monday, July 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, July 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. Is it Useful to be Innocent? Ask anybody who resides in, either a Prison or a Jail! But there is another Connotation, for the term Innocence that I find Useful: It comes in the usage, "The Innocence of Little Children". Be Innocently Useful!  :-)

Sunday, July 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. Is there such a thing, as Useful Forgiveness? (Not sure). Also, would we be likely to have to ask Forgiveness for being Useful? (Hopefully not! But I could see the possibility for someone asking Forgiveness, for the inability of being Useful). Forgiveness? That's a well-used term, with lots of connotations. Keep that in mind, when attempting to understand this Word.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 9-15, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Usefulness.  What does it mean to be Useful?  When I was a child, part of it, was not "being in the way"!  Dictionary.com says "being of service", and Google adds the phrase, "for a practical purpose".  That last is good, because it "shouldn't be for an Impractical Purpose!"  And, above all, be Useful to yourself.

Saturday, July 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. Authentic Practicality? Practical Authenticity? An Authentic Economy? (As opposed to a Counterfeit Economy?) So much fun! Is it Practical to be Economical? I hope so! And, of course, always strive to be Authentic to yourself.

Friday, July 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, July 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. Interpreting our Economy? (A tall order!) Practical Interpretation? (The only kind, in my opinion). One, practical aspect of this: Interpretation, as a Career. First off, there is only a small minority of people, fluent in multiple languages. And, if you can actually *think* in both (or more) languages, you are *way* ahead of most of the people on Planet Earth! And, from what I've heard, it pays well.

Thursday, July 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. Socialized Economy? (Socialist Economy?) Practical Socialization? Anyway, Socialization fits in with our Themes in surprising ways, even if I have trouble "practically" putting them into words. In general, Socialization is important and, in my opinion, "in person" socialization needs to be part of it. And, once again, have fun!

Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. Practical Concentration? A Concentrated Economy? (Just dissolve in water?) I definitely suggest keeping your Sense of Humor, when attempting to classify each Day. But the first combination seems to work well: Concentration equals Focus. And if you focus on what's going to be Practical in your life, you should do well. And, no matter what? Have fun!

Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 4th, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. An Acceptable, Practical Economy? Practical Acceptance? These work together this week, better than in some weeks. But finally, in the end, remember: The one that it's most important for you to be Acceptable to is yourself!

Monday, July 3, 2017

Word for the Day, Monday, July 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. When you are in a good, balanced state, Generosity comes naturally. And you are, in general, Economical and Practical in your life. But who lives Balanced Lives, these days? It might not be easy, but you can shoot for it.

Sunday, July 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. And, if you are going to Share, do so both Economically and in a Practical manner. Not only will your life benefit, but, in my opinion, so will that of those around you.

Weekly Themes: Week of July 2-8, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Economy and Practicality.  Are these two words, even close to each other?  Certainly, if you are being Economical, it's best to do it in a Practical way.  However, Practicality, in my opinion doesn't always refer to economic concerns.  Google, by the way, defines Economy, with wealth and resources in mind.  And Resources can refer to lots, besides money.  For example, our Planet has Natural Resources.  And people have their own set of Resources, including their strength, wealth, intellect and, in my opinion, Spirituality.  And people are best, when they are also Practical.  This should be an interesting week!

Saturday, July 1, 2017

Words for the Day: Saturday, July 1, 2017

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. Together, these make up the "Big Picture View", as well as the "Executive Summary", all of which are important for Organizations, as well as "ordinary people". When I was working regular, computer jobs (my career), I would frequently be accused of "getting sidetracked" from my "assigned duties", because of my overriding need to know what's going on, in the corporation itself. Oh well! :-)

Word for the Day: Friday, June 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. And, of course, Organizations should always Aspire to be the best that they can. And of course, you as an individual can always Aspire to be your own, personal best, no matter what field you are in. And, of course, aspire to have fun.

Thursday, June 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 29, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. Organized Study? Of Course! That is what our Schools and Universities are, silly! :-)

But what I wish to say, today, is to be Selective, about what you study. Not all topics are created equally. (For examples, in The Sims, you can study up, on how to become the greatest Bank Robber. But do you *really* want to do that?) I like the College model, where you pick, not only a Major, but a Minor also.

Wednesday, June 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. Organized Absorption? (Sounds good, except I don't see how it would work). [or] Absorbing an Organization? (Would this be like one Corporation purchasing another one? In many cases, even the *name* of the firm being purchased goes away eventually). Actually, I find Absorption working best, in an academic setting. For example, the "Immersion Training" method of learning an alternative language, sounds a lot like absorption. So let's be like a Sponge today!  :-)

Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 27, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. Review of an Organization? [or] Organized Review? (better than Disorganized Review, I guess, though that can't be much worse than yesterday's "disorganized experiment"!) Anyway, in my opinion, Review is a good thing to do, whether reviewing the success or failure of a Shopping Trip, a Year End Review, or even finally, Life Review, at the end of a lifetime.

Monday, June 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, June 26, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. Organized Experiments? Probably better than haphazard, disorganized "attempts" at experimenting (which, depending on what's being attempted, can be *very* dangerous. For example, people have been injured, by "simply" placing a peppermint Mentos in a bottle of Diet Coke, and tightly closing the Diet Coke bottle!)

Sunday, June 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. So do you recognize all of the Organizations that help you through your life? Look closely -- there are more than you think!

Weekly Theme: Week of 6/25 to 7/01/2017

The Theme for this Week is Organization.  Just for laughs, I went to Google for a definition, and wasn't disappointed:  "an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association, etc".  (You don't use a derivative of a word in its definition.  My 5th Grade English teacher would be appalled!)  So what do I find, if I look up Organize?  "arrange into a structured whole; order".  Well, that's better, at least!  If I put these together, an Organization would be something like, "a body of people with a particular purpose, arranged into a structured whole".  So think of that, when working with all the different Organizations you deal with on a regular basis,.

Saturday, June 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. So do you Resolve to Protect? Or Protect your Resole? (Or, even, "I Resolve to Protect my Resolve". LOL!) One thing to remember, incidentally, is that Resolutions can be made at any time: Not just at the time of the New Year.

Friday, June 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, June 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Protecting our Courage: The Courage to Protect? Both directions work, in their own way. For example, to "protect your courage", face your fears, in one way or another. If you fear your dreams (i.e. experiencing frequent nightmares), start learning about dreams and dreaming. For example, there is a tool, used in Lucid Dreaming, where you directly face your attacker, knowing it can't hurt your waking, physical body. (And note that there is a wealth of freely available information about Lucid Dreaming. Just Google it!)

Thursday, June 22, 2017

Words for the Day: Thursday, June 22, 2017

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment. Do you know your own Strength? Do you feel Empowered? Finding your Strength is a pretty important step, in your personal Empowerment -- probably one reason why these two Words go together today. And if you are taking steps, to "increase" your strength (i.e. going to a Gym), an additional, highly recommended step is Yoga. And have fun!

Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. Do we Protect our Competence? Or are we Competent to Protect? (Yes, some of these go together, easier than others). So what's the most important consideration, regarding Competence? That you are Competent to Be Yourself!

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. So do we Endure Protection (rackets, such as Insurance? [No, I'm not "against Insurance" per se, but think it's often overblown. I, of course, pay for multiple Insurance policies, including Renters and Medicare]). Or, are we talking about Protecting the concept of Endurance? Like, for example, including Endurance Training in our "exercise schedule". And, if you are in this category, I want you to look at one, awesome element, Yoga. Good luck!

Monday, June 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, June 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Protect Fertility? Of course. Support Organic Farming! Need I say more?

Sunday, June 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. So are we to "Protect our Stability"? Or is it easier to have Protection in a Stable Environment? I think both! And I also think both our Theme and Word are helped, by living a Balanced Life. And, above all, have fun.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 18-24, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Protection.  What does it mean to Protect?  The first definition, according to Google is to "keep safe from harm or injury".  Then the word "Preserve" is used, such as preserving natural resources.  The first definition is interesting, because there are a number of corporations that are, quite specifically into Protection.  The most famous examples are the Insurance companies, who claim to be able to (for a price, of course), protect you from "financial harm", due to the category that they are for.  Categories?  Auto, home, life and health are popular categories.  So how do you protect yourself?  In my opinion, by living a balanced life.  If you keep yourself healthy, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, you often will, intuitively know what you need to do, in addition, for any additional protection you might need.  And good luck!

Saturday, June 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 17, 2917

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. Last Thursday, I mentioned that a "Release Lever" might be found, close to a "Contrast Knob". See, when you learn how life works, you find that you have more control over it, than you may have thought. The Release Lever is, quite simply made, for when you feel stuck. It may be real, figurative or imaginary. And, believe it or not, the choice is yours!

Friday, June 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, June 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. So, a man could Aspire to be the best Husband in the family he is in? (Though this works better that, regardless of where you fit, in the family (or families) you are in, you Aspire to be your personal best. A great start, is to communicate, the best you can). Aspiration is one of those "fun Words", because it has so many, different meanings, including medical ones.

Thursday, June 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Farm Life (i.e. via "Animal Husbandry") is a *major* life of Contrasts. Parts of it can be tedious, and other parts, downright frightening. (And *how* do I know all of this? Television, of course! LOL!) But note: Even if you Don't live on a Farm, your life is likely to consist of "periods of massive Contrast". If you feel you're "losing control", look for the Contrast Knob. (It'll likely be close to the "Release Lever" that I'll be describing to you, this coming Saturday!)

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. A synonym of adaptability is flexibility. It is good to be flexible. We know this, regarding our bodies, as we go through our lives. But it's also good to have a flexible Mind. For example, it's important to take a look at ideas, that might counter the ones you hold dear.Your degree of flexibility will be graded, on how you approach alternative views. Word to the wise!

Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Words for the Day: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. Graceful farms? (Gives me a funny picture, of dancing farm animals). So how does one develop Agility and/or Grace? I suggest Yoga. And have fun with it!

Monday, June 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, June 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated Husbandry? Husbands that Accelerate? (LOL! And yes, some of these go together, better than others). But, if we look at the Word itself, be selective! Accelerated Spirituality (or even Intellect) is great to do. But be careful, about excessive acceleration of moving vehicles, such that they attract "unfortunate attention"!

Sunday, June 11, 2017

Words for the Day: Sunday, June 11, 2017

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. I would suggest that, being, both a Husband, and practicing "Animal Husbandry" (i.e. on a farm) would require a Lot of Patience. And the results of either (a family or farm) would require LOTS of Tolerance!

Weekly Theme: Week of June 11-17, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Husbandry.  So what do we mean by this?  Google defines Husband as, "a married man considered in relation to his spouse".  But then, it defines Husbandry as, "the care, cultivation, and breeding of crops and animals".  So how do these connect to each other, if at all?  "Husband" relates to a family, and "Husbandry" to a farm.  Of course, in the past, Farms were run by families.  Both of these seem "down to Earth".  If we go to the other side, we find "Spiritual Wifery" (with a good, Wikipedia Page).  In No Way, do I claim to understand this!

Saturday, June 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. So do you Acknowledge Cultivation, or Cultivate Acknowledgement? Perhaps both have their place, though I personally favor the second. Acknowledge those, who help you through your life, and you're likely to encourage more help in the future. And remember: It takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!

Friday, June 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, June 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. This is easy to Cultivate: Just throw Kindness anywhere. It works in, pretty much all situations (as long as you are operating in a balanced manner). Need I say more?

Thursday, June 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. So are we Encouraging Cultivation? Or Cultivating Encouragement? Or Both? There is one thing, in common with this Theme and this Word: In both cases, you need to be Selective. Like, for example, who would want to cultivate a field, full of Poison Ivy? Likewise, who wants to encourage a criminal (except, perhaps, to encourage him/her to turn themselves in?) There is, of course, *one* person to Encourage: Yourself!

Wednesday, June 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. So do we Thoughtfully Cultivate (food)? Or do we Cultivate Thoughtfulness? Probably both. The key, is to Think, before speaking and acting and, of course, that includes details, on how people run farms.

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. So how does one "Cultivate" a Support Group? See, here I am, on the "Farmland of Life", and trying to figure out, whether to Plant "Support" next to the Broccoli, or the Brussels Sprouts???!!!

Seriously, though, one thing that I have, personally found helpful, is to Join the Support Groups, of your Friends. Remember, Support works in Both Directions!

Monday, June 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, June 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. So how do you "cultivate comfort"? Often, the "little things" help. For example, when in the planning stages, of opening a new (or remodeled) Restaurant, pay attention to the details, of the seating arrangement. For example, are you supplying chairs with back support? (as opposed to benches). How about cushions? If I feel comfortable, while I am eating, I am likely to, not only come back, but bring others. Otherwise, it's either takeout only, or I look for other places to eat at.

Sunday, June 4, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 4, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. So, if you live on a farm, you might *absolutely* go outside on morning, and Cultivate some delicious Nourishment for you and your Family. And then, if your location has a Farmer's Market, you can, in effect, Cultivate Nourishment for others, also. bon appétit!

Weekly Theme: Week of June 4-10, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Cultivation.  So what does it mean to Cultivate?  According to Google, one meaning is to, "prepare and use (land) for crops or gardening".  As a Science Fiction fan, I am reminded of a term, "Terraforming".  So I asked Google what it means to Terraform:  "(especially in science fiction) transform (a planet) so as to resemble the earth, especially so that it can support human life".  So (back to Cultivation), aren't we "transforming" a field, so it can support crops or gardening?  But, back to the original definition:  There is a second one:  "try to acquire or develop (a quality, sentiment, or skill)".  I agree with this, except for questioning the word, "try".  As Yoda said, in "Empire Strikes Back":  "Do or do not.  There is not 'Try'".

Saturday, June 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. So how much weight does a person's "Individual Choices" hold, in his/her "Level of Prosperity"? Obviously, the more the better! In addition, the "Personal Growth Philosophies" suggest close to 100 percent. However, "personal observation", coupled with "Scholarly Sources" (i.e. College Economics) would put the percentage much lower. I do not consider myself the best Information Source, for this topic, so I leave this topic here. So Good Luck everyone!

Friday, June 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, June 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. So do you make Liberated Choices? Or do you Choose Liberation? Perhaps both. But, if you feel yourself stuck (and needing Liberation), that is one time to *look* for Choices. Because there normally *are* Choices, in every situation you are in. So (to borrow yesterday's Word), Choose Wisely!

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 1, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. Can somebody make a Choice to become Wise? How does this work, anyway? Some, possibly impatient people *wish* that they can gain, "full Wisdom", simply from "reading the right books" plus, possibly "attending a handful of Weekend Workshops". Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Because, in my experience, Wisdom comes, mainly from a pattern of Life Experiences. However, there are some things that might help: Look up the concept of Satsang. It is used, both in Hinduism and Buddhism and, quite simply, means "to be in Good Company" or, in other words, with people who, quite simply, "strive to be Good".

I'm not ready to "write a book" on what I mean, by "Good". But I like the "Attributes of a Boy Scout": "Trustworthy Loyal Helpful, Friendly Courteous Kind, Obedient Cheerful Thrifty, Brave Clean and Reverent". I'll add Polite to the list, as well as (and here is where Life Experience comes in): A "proven pattern" of seeing the Good in the people around you, as best you can. Also, a "proven pattern" of treating "the least" of the people around you, well -- wishing them well, and helping others, as much as is practical, without burning yourself out. (Some might describe this as a "pattern" of "Service to Others" but, also, while taking care of yourself -- keeping yourself healthy. This would be a "Balanced Life", say 50/50, and match a "Wise Passage" in the Christian Bible, "Love your Neighbor as Yourself". Balance!)

Finally, some "proven patterns", that might lead someone to be "labeled Bad": Once again, I can't "label someone", but I "most certainly" can "see patterns" around me. In general, if somebody has a "basic Orientation" of "Service to Self, at the Expense of Others *around* them", *That* might not be someone I would want to spend an excessive amount of time around! But, once again, it would take a Book to do Justice to this topic.

Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Do we make Impartial Choices in our lives? Now, *REALLY*??? We wear our Biases (often literally "wearing them" say, in our clothing) in all of our Choices. So how can we get closer to impartiality? How about honestly exploring situations, locations, and philosophies that take you your "Comfort Zone". For example, when we went to War against Iraq in 2003, I was confused, about Islam. For example, I did not know of the issues, behind the split between the Sunni and Shia versions. So, I purchased a book, "Islam for Dummies", and learned a lot. But I still think that the main idea of a Religion is, to Love God and Love your Neighbor.

Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. And it is *quite* true that you create Consequences, when you make Choices. But there is a "special kind" of Choice, well known, but often misunderstood: It is the Choice, to "Skip making a Choice". First off, things don't actually *work* that way! (For one, you are the *only* person, who can live your life). But, even in an "illusory" Universe, where something like that were "possible", the Consequence is likely to be Severe, since it "kind of" appears that you, at least temporarily, would be "choosing" not to fully live!

Monday, May 29, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 29, 2917

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. So are we talking about the "Elimination of Choice"? I Sure *Hope* Not! But Choosing to Eliminate things in your life that you, either have outgrown? Perhaps. Also, it's possible that we're talking about Eliminating things, that interfere with making informed choices. Good luck!

Sunday, May 28, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. So are you using Self-Reliance to make better Choices? Or are you Choosing to be Self-Reliant today? Hopefully, a bit of both! But please note the complexity of the second question: It is also good, to choose to include others in your life. For example, it is always good to have a Support Group. (As well, it is also good to be part of the Support Group of other people). Happy Choosing!

Weekly Theme: Week of 5/28 - 6/03/2017

The Theme for this Week is Choice.  What does this mean?  According to Google Define, Choice means "an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities".  And, when I add principles from Quantum Physics to this, I often tell people, that "When you make choices, you Create Worlds!"  Why?  Becomes, somewhere "upstairs" from "mainline, Waking Consciousness", "someone" (usually, more than one "part" of you) wants to know what occurred, with the "other Choice".  One example, which I believe is easy to understand:  Imagine you are working for a firm, located in multiple states (or even countries).  In our example, you are working for the Office in New York.  Also, you are "happily married" (however you might define that).  So, one day, you are called, into a Management Office, and told you have an "opportunity" for, both a Promotion and a significant Raise.  The catch?  It would require you to, indefinitely relocate to the "Corporate Office" in Chicago, Illinois.  You are told to "think this over", but "don't take too long, as we must make a final decision, 'soon'".  You go home, quite excited (as you have been hoping for a promotion, for a "long time"), and tell your Spouse.  His/her response is *QUITE* surprising!  It goes like this:  "What?  Chicago???  I absolutely Loathe Chicago!!!"  And then, after an awkward silence, he/she says, in a dangerous, almost sulking manner, "If you want to go to Chicago, go ahead.  But count me out!"  So, the parameters, for a an obviously, emotionally charged decision is set.  In one, you take the promotion, perhaps hoping you can make Chicago temporary, and/or gradually warm your spouse, on the virtues of the "Windy City".  In the other, you turn down the promotion, possibly preventing future promotions (because you aren't a "team player"), and perhaps not even making your spouse happy in the long run (because your Salary isn't going up).  And so, one Choice is considered "Primary", and the other might show up in your Dreams.  Good luck, folks!

Saturday, May 27, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 27, 2917

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. One type of Transition, is a change in size. For example, your Chest expands and contracts, as you breathe in and out. But that is not the only thing you can expand: You can also expand your Intellect, as you learn more and more, through your lifetime. But be careful about expansion around your "Middle", if you eat excessive amounts of delicious food!

Friday, May 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, May 26, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. Do you Trust your Transitions? Do you have faith in your Transformations? Many people have issues in this area, as change, of any kind can be scary at times. But, since change occurs, whether you like it or not, why not play a part in your Life Transitions. Take charge, folks!

Thursday, May 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. I obviously have Gratitude for, at least *most* of my Transformations. (And some, that didn't "seem" harmonious, when they occurred, turned out to be important to my life, later. So I can now say I have Gratitude for a Job Burnout, that occurred in 1997, due to how much I learned about, both myself, and Reality itself!) So feel free to treat Today, as if it were Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Are some projects "more Equal than others"? That would beg the question: What *does* Equality mean, anyway? There are two major "contexts" for this Word, shown by "word usage": "Equal Opportunity", or "forced Equality" (by, say, conformity). The second can be found in some Private Schools, where there are "School Uniforms", such that all students look, "sort of" alike! And office Dress Codes can come close to this, when all male employees are "required" to wear suits and ties to work. But the usage I prefer can be seen in the following phrase, "Equal Opportunity for All!"

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. Are personal Transformations Prudent? It depends on the details of the Transformation involved, of course! What were you like, before the change, verses afterwards. There are a number of categories involved, of course, such as how you treat other people, how you treat plants and animals around you, and how you treat Mother Earth herself! Change is inevitable, of course, but it's up to you, what that change looks like.

Monday, May 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. Sorry to do this (very rarely), but I am posting this, when an "alleged Suicide Bomber" detonated an explosive, outside a concert in Manchester, England. (And yes, I'm reporting on the Parallel [or Probability] that I'm in so, if anybody has evidence, to show me they are in a different Reality where this didn't occur, reach out to me in some way). But, in a rather unfortunate way, this keys in with our Theme, because, in an instant, a Music Concert was transformed into a Crime Scene, as well as a "Royal Mess"! At least 19 people (many innocent, but at one [or, possibly more] not) Transitioned, from living human beings, with relationships and careers, to an Afterlife where, the first thing needed is to figure out what just occurred, and why they're not relating well to Physical Reality! More were injured, many of whom will never feel safe in a concert again! In my opinion, if a living being hurts, a part of God (whatever your definition) hurts too!

Sunday, May 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. Hopefully, you won't feel the need to ask forgiveness for your personal Transformations. And a way to minimize that, is to strive for positive transformations (as opposed to, for example, "transforming" from a law abiding citizen into a criminal. That usually backfires). But no matter what, keep in mind that Change is always occurring!
