Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 28, 2018

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. What does this mean? Simple: To "be like a Sponge"! And where does this fit, in a Learning Environment best? Languages. (Google "Immersion Training"). What kind of Guidance do you get, this way? For one thing, you have little choice, but to use aspects of the Language being taught.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 27, 2018

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. Now, Review is a major part of Education, whether individual (i.e. through the Guidance that Mentors often provide), or in a larger, Classroom setting. In effect, you are "going over" what you had previously accomplished (which might have included Yesterday's Experiments). But don't forget the Review, often done outside of educational settings also, like Reviewing the Shopping Trip you recently did!

Word for the Day: Monday, February 26, 2018

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. Now, when I was in High School Chemistry Class, I was in the Top 5 of my [fairly large] class, and so was popular with others, in the Class, who were sincere about learning Chemistry. And so, I can be my own Example, stating that I regularly provided Guidance to other Students, who would come to me and ask questions, often about the Laboratory Experiments we were about to do. But a couple of Students went further, looking on me as a Mentor, letting me walk them through the steps of the upcoming experiment. See, our two Themes are similar, but not exactly the same.

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 25, 2018

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. And I definitely Recognize those, who have helped me in general, but most specifically those who have taught me to be who I am. Thank you all!

Weekly Themes: Week of 2/25 to 3/03/2018

The Themes for this Week are Guidance and Mentor.  Together, these make up an individualized way of teaching another student.  This is needed, even under the scope of the conventional, classroom setting, because different people learn at different speeds, and some Teachers aren't always clear about the subject being taught.  This makes up an awesome service, and often helps the Mentor, almost as much as the student.

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 24, 2018

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. Like the other Words, this Week, I believe Resolve goes perfectly with Domestication. In other words, I feel like it takes Resolve to effectively live in a Family. But wait, there are two parts to the word Resolve: We can also "Make Resolutions!" And Resolutions can be made at any time, not just during the New Year. Mine is to "Resolve to Have Fun!" :-)

The Word for Today is Courage. Does it require Courage to be in a Domestic Situation? It sure can! For example, notice how often Children "run away" from Home. (Probably not a "statistically high percentage", but high enough to show up in the News and not be surprising). Yesterday, I asked if you felt empowered to "say No", in a home. Today, I'm asking if you have the Courage to. These are related, but not the same thing!

Thursday, February 22, 2018

Monday, February 19, 2018

Word for the Day: Monday, February 19, 2018

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Now, Fertility is definitely something, that is often practiced in a Domestic Environment. But not always! For example, besides the "usual" connotation to the adjective, "Fertile", you can also have a "Fertile Imagination", which can assist you, for example, in writing successful Fiction Novels.

Friday, February 16, 2018

Word for the Day: Friday, February 16, 2018

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. Now today can get, downright silly, as there are Medical definitions for Aspiration (even including a procedure I underwent, back in 1982, to treat a "situation", called Pneumothorax. You can Google this, if you dare [the Wikipedia Article includes today's Word, under Management], but trust me! You don't want to experience this).

But the way I prefer to approach this combination, is to "Aspire to be the Healthiest person that I can".

Thursday, February 15, 2018

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 15, 2018

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Contrasts in Health? [or] Healthy Contrasts? Please note that these are two, completely different things. For example, a "Healthy Contrast", in my opinion, is a "moderate amount" of Contrast. Why? Because too little Contrast can seem boring, yet too much Contrast can get, downright Scary!

"Contrasts in Health"? I am less sure about this one, but living a balanced life should be helpful.

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Thoughtful Service? Of course! For example, when I was a child, I would often try to "be of Service" to Mom, when she was cooking. However, all I usually ended up doing, was "getting in the way". So, if I were to be Thoughtful about this, I might have found a better approach, such as asking Mom if she needed help, and let her assign me tasks.

Friday, February 2, 2018

Word for the Day: Friday, February 2, 2018

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. Does this mean "Liberation" from Completing Projects? (Actually, I don't think you want to do that, because you are likely to be known, at least in some circles, by what projects (i.e. books or essays) that you *have* completed). So how does Liberation *really* combine with our Theme, Completion? For one thing, you can seek Liberation from certain "traits", that can stand in the way of completing projects, such as one I used a lot, Procrastination. Liberate yourself from that, and see how well your life works.
