Word for the Day: Thursday, December 31, 2009

The Word for Today is Socialization.

Nobody is an island to him/herself. Socialization is definitely needed. That is one of my big lessons.

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 30, 2009

The Word for Yesterday was Concentration.

You get what you concentrate on. This makes it important to use discernment on what you concentrate on.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 29, 2009

The Word for last Tuesday was Acceptability.

Be acceptable to yourself. Also, accept yourself. These will make it easier to accept others.

Word for the Day: Monday, December 28, 2009

The Word for last Monday was Generosity.

This is not limited to money, by the way: You can be generous with your praise, for example.

I am catching up, after losing my Internet access for about 4 days.

Sunday, December 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Sharing.

It can feel very good to share of yourself.

Weekly Themes: Week of 12/27/2009 to 1/2/2010

The Themes for this Week are Economy and Practicality.

It is generally very practical to be economical.

Saturday, December 26, 2009

Words for the Day: Saturday, December 26, 2009

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

Both of these words have to do with the big picture; in effect the forest, as opposed to the trees. Another word for Overview is Executive Summary.

Friday, December 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, December 25, 2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

We see our reflection when we look in a mirror. Likewise, when we reflect on a topic, we look at it from multiple perspectives.

I wish all of my readers a fantastic Christmas.

Thursday, December 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 24, 2009

The Word for Today is Study.

I know of three versions of this word, two of them nouns and the third, a verb. First noun is a room of a house, "the Study", sort of like an office. The second one might not even be a noun (adjective?), "field of Study". The verb is probably the most used: "I would like to study consciousness this year".

Which of these mean the most to you?

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 23, 2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

One way to forget yourself is complete absorption in an event, movie or book.

In other words, temporarily become a sponge.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Word for the day: Tuesday, December 22, 2009

The Word for today is Review.

We are now seeing programs on TV reviewing 2009. Bests and worsts. You can, of course, review your personal year to see what worked and what, not so much.

Also, as a species, let us review what we have done to this planet. Cutting down the forests, polluting the air and water, and so forth? Can we do better?

Monday, December 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, December 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

Do you need to make changes in your life, but are not sure how to proceed? This is where this word comes in. Don't be afraid to experiment. Even if you make a mistake, you are not alone, as everybody makes mistakes. But, depending on the life situation, not proceeding at all could be the biggest mistake of all.

Sunday, December 20, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 20, 2009

The Word for Today is Recognition.

What does it mean to recognize somebody? Often, it is literal, where you have seen them before in this lifetime. But other times, it may be an "Essence Recognition", which can transcend one lifetime.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 20-26, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Organization.

This is one of those concepts where a little goes a long ways. In other words, Control verses Chaos. (Thank you to the Get Smart movie and TV series).

Finally, a query: How many organizations do you see out there that do not appear to be organized?

Saturday, December 19, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 19, 2009

The Word for Today is Resolve.

This word can either be a noun ("Don't lose your resolve"), or a verb ("I resolve to exercise more"). I am not quite sure which of these the Michael Teachings has in mind.

Try out both of them.

Friday, December 18, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, December 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Courage.

Contrary to popular belief, this is not the absense of fear, but the ability to continue to function, in the face of fear. Live courageously!

Thursday, December 17, 2009

Words for the Day: Thursday, December 17, 2009

The Words for Today are Strength and Empowerment.

These are both good attributes to find in yourself. And they go well with this week's theme, as they both you to protect yourself.

Finally, these are not necessarily physical, as you can have a strong will and a powerful intellect.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Competence.

As I write this, I am following Congress through the Health Care process and see a lack of competence, especially on the Republican side.

The most important thing, in my opinion, is to be competent to be you. This includes being truthful to yourself.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Endurance.

This is, of course, one of the goals of the physical fitness crowd. But it goes beyond that, for example, learning to endure a long meeting.

For the Michael students among you, today marks a triple Warrior Michael Transit.

Monday, December 14, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, December 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Fertility.

There are many meanings for this word including, of course, the ability to procreate. The one I like is "a fertile imagination".

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Stability.

To be stable, you need a good foundation. And then, you need to take care how you build on it.

Let's hear it for a firm foundation.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 13-19, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Protection.

I guess the first question would be what a person needs to be protected from. This is the fear factor. Be careful, however, that the person or agency protecting you isn't worse than those you are protected from.

Saturday, December 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Release.

This is a good word to have around whenever you feel trapped by something in your life.

One thing to be careful of, however, is if where you end up might not be better than where you were originally.

Friday, December 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, December 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Aspiration.

This is where "pretty good" is not enough. Aspire to be the best that you can. You'll thank yourself years down the road.

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Contrast.

This is what adds spice to life. A "steady state" would likely get dull after a while.

One more thing: Remember the contrast knob on the older TV sets? Wouldn't it be great to be able to control the level of contrast in your life?

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Adaptability.

Be flexible: Adapt to your surroundings. You will be a more pleasant person to live around than the one who insists that his/her surroundings adapt to him/her.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

Words for the Day: Tuesday, December 8, 2009

The Words for Today are Agility and Grace.

Yoga is, of course, my first suggestion to develop these. I found that learning to walk VERY slowly helped me a lot, regarding walking gracefully.

Monday, December 7, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, December 7, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceleration.

Finally, a potentially dangerous word: Careful when driving a car!

One thing I can say, however, is that reality itself is accelerating. Fasten your seat belts.

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 6, 2009

The Words for Today are Patience and Tolerance.

As I've said before, these words go together, but (I'll add now), often in the negative, as impatient people often don't tolerate people or events that slow them down.

Remember that Patience is a virtue. I firmly believe that Tolerance is a stepping stone to acceptance.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 6-12, 2009

The Theme for this week is Husbandry.

This one sounds funny (for example, why not Wifery?) Both genders participate in the farming definition of Husbandry, however.

I tried to define this 343 days ago, so I'm coming to you this time: What does Husbandry mean to you? Comments welcome.

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 5, 2009

The Word for Today is Acknowledgment.

This one is simple: If a person goes above and beyond with a kindness for you, please acknowledge it. Publicly if appropriately, but certainly to the person involved.

Friday, December 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, December 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Kindness.

Please do random acts of Kindness, not only today, but also going forward. The world will be a better place for it.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Encouragement.

This is something we need more of in the world, as an encouraging word can be quite friendly.

Once again, this works with Cultivation, our weekly theme: Let's cultivate more encouragement in the world, but be selective, as we don't need to encourage war. (Sorry, but I'm against ALL wars, mainly due to how much "collateral damage" [read, innocent lives either lost or wrecked] is likely to occur).

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 2, 2009

The Word for Today is Thoughtfulness.

A little of this goes a long way. (For example, I've said in the past, "Think before you speak or act". I still say it!)

This also works with Cultivation, the Weekly Theme, as you can Cultivate Thoughtfulness.

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 1, 2009

The Word for Today is Support.

Once again, like some of the other words, the best Support to look for comes from within.

Also, this works with Cultivation, the Weekly Theme, as you are certainly free to Cultivate Support.

Monday, November 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, November 30, 2009

The Word for Today is Comfort.

(Note that it's funny that I woke up with a short burst of lower abdominal pain! LOL!)

All I can say about the word itself is that the trick is to look for Inner Comfort (or make it yourself), rather than hoping that the people outside of yourself "make you comfortable".

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Word for the Day, Sunday, November 29, 2009

The Word for Today is Nourishment.

This is a natural, as it goes so well with Cultivation, our theme for the week. In other words, cultivate nourishment. Among other things, this is a good time to improve your diet. (And I've noticed that these words continue to affect me for days after the day "owned" by the word. The same thing occurs regularly with Astrological Transits).

For the Michael students among you, today corresponds with Warrior/Server/Server, address 99 on the Truth side of a Michael DNA Entity chart. The "Theme" is also called "Global Job" and the "Word" is also called "Community Responsibility".

Happy holidays, folks!

Weekly Theme, Week of 11/29 to 12/05/2009

The Theme for this Week is Cultivation.

Usually, this word brings up visions of farms and ranches. However, you can also cultivate spirituality in your life, for example, with a competent meditation or yoga practice.

Please note that this marks the beginning of the third [49 day] Month of the [343 day] Truth year. The month has a Warrior flavor, so heads up that it's unlikely to be restful.

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 28, 2009

The Word for Today is Prosperity.

Hey! I could use some of that, since I had, in effect, $2.12 in my Checking Account for a week. But that's me. Let me talk about you.

Prosperity doesn't only mean money. You can also have a prosperous mind, meaning that you think in a wide, open manner and others wish they knew what you know. (That can help with money too, indirectly).

Live Long and Prosper.

Friday, November 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, November 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Liberation.

There can be lots of things to be liberated from, including Republicans. (Especially when they are against real health care).

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 26, 2009

The Word for Today is Wisdom.

Today is Thanksgiving. The best Word might have been Gratitude, but it was the word for last Thursday. But guess what? You are perfectly free to give thanks today, even if it's not the word for the day. ;-)

Have a Wise Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 25, 2009

The Word for Today is Impartiality.

Do we have any news companies in the United States that truly qualify?

I will state that this is a Scholar quality. (But even they have trouble with it. Trust me on that!)

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 24, 2009

The Word for Today is Consequence.

Equal and opposite action. What you sow, you reap. I can go on, but the Law of Karma comes through here.

For example, the Health Care debate. Don't these Republicans have constituencies? Aren't some of them without health care? What are we going to have in 2010? 80+ percent democrats in the House? A plurality of Democrats in the Senate?

I'm fed up with this. I'm planning to come to the news networks to debate some of these Republicans. Consequence? You betcha!

Monday, November 23, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, November 23, 2009

The Word for Today is Elimination.

So what have you been doing that has not worked well? Can any of that be eliminated?

Have a great week.

Sunday, November 22, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 22, 2009

The Word for Today is Self-Reliance.

This word goes well with this week's theme. In other words, "I choose to be self-reliant".

Weekly Theme: Week of November 22-28, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Choice.

Everyone must choose to live. Simple as that! Choose a good quality of life, also.

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Expansion.

Once again, good Expansion is Spiritual expansion. Bad expansion is expansion around the middle. :-)

Friday, November 20, 2009

Words for the Day: Friday, November 20, 2009

The Words for Today are Trust and Faith.

First, FAITH came to me in a class as "Father And I Together Here", Father meaning the one in the Holy Trinity.

However, Trust is something that has to be earned, not demanded, like governments and religions try.

These two words must go together somehow, or the Michael Teachings wouldn't have put them like that today. But I still have trouble figuring that out. Comments are welcome.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 19, 2009

The Word for Today is Gratitude.

Goodness, but we are a week off. Wouldn't it have been great if this were the word for the day for Thursday, November 26, 2009?

But it doesn't have to be Thanksgiving Day to be grateful for something. Make everyday Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Equality.

Who wants equal? People usually want more than that. (But "equal" could be seen as a stepping stone to "better than").

Equal opportunity for all!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Prudence.

When I think of this word, I think of prunes. I do not know why.

The best approach to life is to think before speaking or acting.

Monday, November 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, November 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Innocence.

This is a word I have trouble taking seriously, because, for example, "the majority of people in prison claim they are innocent".

I believe that the Michael meaning of this word goes more with, "the Innocence of children", than court cases.

Sunday, November 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Forgiveness.

Some people equate forgiveness with amnesia. I don't, as traumatic experiences rarely are forgotten, unless they are so traumatic as to be ingrained in only the Subconscious memories.

So what constitutes real forgiveness? My feeling is giving forth, as in to give forth love.

Weekly Themes: Week of November 15-21, 2009

The Themes for this Week are Transition and Transformation.

The difference between these words appear to me to be scale: Transition includes the small changes we go through every day/week/month. Transformation is more personal and includes the major life-changing events.

So have fun transforming your transitions.

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Authenticity.

Authentic, verses counterfeit? How would a "counterfeit person" look and feel like?

This may start getting a bit old, but, like other traits, the most important person to feel Authentic to is yourself.

Friday, November 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, November 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Interpretation.

How would one interpret the word, Interpretation? Linguistic tool? Tool for Spirituality? Both?

Come to think of it, how would a person interpret Friday, the 13th?

Thursday, November 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Socialization.

To be social means to relate to other people, a task that I'm learning to do.

Who was it who said, "No person is an island unto him/herself"?

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Concentration.

This is a trait that I use when I need to deal with details. It can help me to focus.

Where I need it the most (but often forget) is when people are introducing themselves to me. (Names? Who needs them! LOL!)

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

Like I've said before, the person most important to be acceptable to is yourself. I can't stress this enough.

To be acceptable to others, think before you speak or act.

Monday, November 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, November 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Generosity.

It feels good to me to be generous. Since I don't have much money, I'm generous with honest praise, as well as generous with my smiles.

Be generous today!

Sunday, November 8, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 8, 2009

The Word for Today is Sharing.

This can be small (sharing a smile with another human) or big (sharing something very expensive with your "significant other").

Do you notice how much better you can feel when you share yourself with others?

Weekly Themes: Week of November 8-14, 2009

The Themes for this Week are Precipitation and Initiation.

The first of these reminds me of weather reports. (And boy, oh BOY is Seattle "precipating"!)

Both of these have to do with doing new things, but Initiation is more self directed, whereas Precipation has things sort of "dropping in" to you.

Whatever you do, please have fun doing it!

Saturday, November 7, 2009

Words for the Day: Saturday, November 7, 2009

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

These are big concepts for me, as well as my "home Community Responsibility". Both of these words suggest "looking at the Big Picture", without getting lost in too many details.

In other words, I look at the forest, often missing the trees.

Friday, November 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, November 6, 2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

What sort of Reflection do you see when you look in a mirror? Are you comfortable with what you see? Can you say, "BFF -- Best Friend Forever"? I sure couldn't say that for much of my life!

Another sort of Reflection is what is in the Bible: As above, so below. That "perspective leap" is what I am learning right now.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 5, 2009

The Word for Today is Study.

The funny thing: I remember a lot of studying when in school. However, when functioning as an adult human being, study seems to only occur sparingly. (For example, if I were to move to a new state, studying the traffic laws before taking the written test at the Department of Motor Vehicles).

Now, that said, I find studying life and consciousness fascinating!

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

Goodness gracious, but that sponge again! Do you know that the original Sponge is actually a living creature from the ocean? (I wonder if the Deva for the Sponge is of the Scholar role).

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Review.

Boy, oh BOY am I in a major Life Review episode right now.

Hopefully, none of you will need the intensity. But a little review goes a long way. (Especially if you are in School and getting ready for an exam).

Monday, November 2, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, November 2, 2009

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

Perhaps I've done more of this than I should have in this lifetime.

But boy, oh BOY is it fun! Experiment on!

Sunday, November 1, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 1, 2009

The Word for Today is Recognition.

A special form of Recognition is called Deja Vu. That is where reality itself might be caught in the act of creating itself.

Of course, it's always a good idea to recognize people around you who have, either directly or indirectly, helped make your life _____________. (Replace the underlines with the details of how your life went better/more interesting/more comfortable/etc).

Weekly Theme: Week of November 1-7, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Discovery.

This is a Scholar trait, which led, in the 1400's on to explore "strange new lands", such as North America. Of course, some of them went a bit far (hello Columbus!)

What can you discover this week?

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 31, 2009

The Word for Today is Resolve.

You might think this is only for New Years, but resolutions can really be made anytime.

Also, this is Halloween! I resolve to have fun today!

Friday, October 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, October 30, 2009

The Word for Today is Courage.

This doesn't mean you don't experience fear, but that you face your fears and do your best.

I would like to express a special welcome to the newcomers on the companion email list. (There is a link on the BLOG for if you want these words each day via email).

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Words for the Day: Thursday, October 29, 2009

The Words for Today are Strength and Empowerment.

Face it: We all have enough strength to be dangerous. We just need to use it well.

As for Empowerment, it's sure better than being stuck in a bad job/relationship/housing situation.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 28, 2009

The Word for Today is Competance.

First off: Boy do I not feel very competant today!

I mentioned, earlier on, a book, "The Peter Principle", which suggested that people in companies get promoted, until they lose their competance. I believe that is shown in both houses of Congress.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Endurance.

How much can you endure without cracking under the pressure?

I'm learning this the hard way.

Word for the Day: Monday, October 26, 2009

The Word for Yesterday was Fertility.

We all know the "usual" meaning of this word, right? But how about a fertile imagintion?

Word for the Day: Sunday, 25, 2009

The Word for last Sunday was Stability.

I can tell you right now that I'm not stable. But I'm sure that others might not be either.

Weekly Theme, Week of October 25-31, 2009

The Theme for this week is Location.

Where are you located? No, I mean Where are you really located.

I am convinced that we all live part of our lives (i.e. night in bed) in the Twilight Zone.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Word for the Day, Saturday, 10/24/2009

The Word for Today is Release.

Release from what? Prison? Mental Institution? Or just some obsessive thought loops?

Hopefully, the release is to something better, not just to "something different", which can mean anything (and, in my own life, often not productive at all!)

Friday, October 23, 2009

Word for the Day, Friday, October 23, 2009

The Word for Today (finally!) is Aspiration.

Aspire to your highest, and you might just make it (if only partially).

Word for the Day, Thursday, October 22, 2009

The Word for yesterday was Contrast.

Their is a huge contrast between life in an apartment in Seattle, verses life in a hospital.

Word for the Day, Wednesday, October 21, 2009

The Word for last Wednesday was Adaptability.

Remember that the flexible person adapts to their surroundings. Inflexible people often insist that their surroundings adapt to them. Which of these groups of people would be more pleasant to be around?

Words for the Day: Tuesday, October 20, 2009

The Word for "last Tuesday" were Agility and Grace.

These seem like physical characteristics that exercise and Yoga would help. But you could also have an agile and graceful mind.

Word for the Day: Monday, October 19, 2009

The belated word was Acceleration.

Just be careful if you are driving a car.

Note that I am catching up, since I did not have Internet capability, due to a hospital stay.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

The Words for Today, Sunday, October 18, 2009.

The Words for Today are Patience and Tolerance.

Wow! If I didn't already have both of these traits, my second day as a Butterfly would have also gone bad. As it is, I was treated rudely and capriciously yesterday and today by a BUNCH of people!!!

Weekly Theme, week of October 18-24, 2009

The Themes for this week are Composition and Imagination.

My imagination is going fantastic already on my second day as a Butterfly! If you haven't already, please rent the latest Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The character that I can simply be, right out of the box, is Arther Dent.

I have too much imagination to live in a normal reality! Trust me on this!!!

Saturday, October 17, 2009

Word for the Day, Saturday, October 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Acknowledgment.

I acknowledge all those who have helped me in the past. Sorry that the list is too long to list.

I acknowledge all those, in advance, who will help me in the future.

Who do you acknowledge?

Thank you and best regards,

Ken Parker in Seattle, Washington

Friday, October 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, October 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Kindness.

This word is pretty self-explanatory -- the world needs lots of this! In fact, if everybody were kind, why would we need wars?

Please show somebody a random act of kindness today. Thank you!

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Encouragement.

Notice that Encouragement has Courage in it.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Thoughtfulness.

Being thoughtful is a good part of a balanced life. Breaking down the word, we find "full of thought", which implies thinking before speaking or acting.

This sure doesn't hurt!

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Support.

With our theme, this would be Balanced Support, probably the best kind. Think of a foundation as a type of support. If it is unbalanced, the building would be in danger of falling down.

Also, once again, find your inner support.

Monday, October 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, October 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Comfort.

Are you comfortable with yourself? (Hint: If you hate yourself, then perhaps not).

I'm getting more and more convinced that many of our basic needs (also including security, for example) are best found within.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Nourishment.

This word works quite well with the weekly theme, as we all work better with a balanced diet.

Also remember that there are more than one types of Nourishment, as, for example, we can also be spiritually nourished.

Weekly Theme: Week of October 11-17, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Balance.

This is an important, yet often overlook trait. We all need the balance between day and night, work and rest, public and private, and many more.

Today marks the beginning of the second Michael Month, this one based on the Artisan role.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Prosperity.

This is probably one of the most misunderstood words: People stop at financial prosperity and miss out. For example, isn't it prosperous to have many good friends?

The opposite also has more to do with money. For example, how about spiritual poverty?

Live long and prosper!

Friday, October 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, October 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Liberation.

This gets down to freedom. What does it mean to be free? And free from what?

Some of our prisons are of our own making. Let us liberate ourselves from those ones.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 8, 2009

The Word for Today is Wisdom.

First off, Wisdom comes from life experience, not book learning.

Also, don't be so afraid of mistakes and failure. Both of these can be learning experiences and add to Wisdom.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 7, 2009

The Word for Today is Impartiality.

As can be seen by watching the news, this position is easier said than done. However, it's a key to avoiding Karma, as whatever event or person's behavior goes right past you, as if you were Teflon.

This is the opposite of "What you resist, persists".

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 6, 2009

The Word for Today is Consequence.

This is the Law of Karma: What goes around, comes around.

The best approach to life: Think before you act or speak.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, October 5, 2009

The Word for Today is Elimination.

How about this? Eliminate what doesn't work in your life.

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Self-Reliance.

It is interesting to combine this with the theme, as a person who conserves is less likely to run out of supplies, which helps him/her to be self-reliant.

Weekly Theme: Week of October 4 to 10, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Conservation.

It is rarely a good idea to waste. However, conservation is often forced on a person, due to either shortages or finances.

Conservation is best when it is freely and voluntarily embarked on.

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Expansion.

This word goes well with this week's theme. For example, "I welcome spiritual expansion".

However, remember to expand carefully.

Friday, October 2, 2009

Words for the Day: Friday, October 2, 2009

The Words for Today are Trust and Faith.

First, some caveats: Trust must be earned, and Faith can be blind.

That said, these words work together well.

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 1, 2009

The Word for Today is Gratitude.

We usually think of this word on Thanksgiving. But it's always good to take time to give thanks.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 30, 2009

The Word for Today is Equality.

Equality implies comparison. Equal to what? Or equal to who? Indeed, who wants to "just" be equal? Is that anything to aspire to?

The best meaning I've had for this word is equal opportunity.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 29, 2009

The Word for Today is Prudence.

The root for this word appears to be Prude, which has (at least for me) negative connotations, such as social inflexibility. In addition, Prude seems to deal only with sexual topics, yet you can be prudent on any topic.

What do you people think? Feel free to comment.

Monday, September 28, 2009

Word for the day: Monday, September 28, 2009

The Word for Today is Innocence.

Look at a baby. That is what this is about. Look at things around you as if you have never seen them before.

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Forgiveness.

One thing that I heard a long time ago: "To Forgive is to Give Forth".

This makes more sense to me than selective memory loss.

Weekly Theme: Week of 9/27 - 10/03/2009

The Theme for this Week is Welcome.

We all like to be welcomed. There is even a mat with that word on it, on many doorsteps.

How many people welcome change? Why not, as it happens anyway.

Saturday, September 26, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 26, 2009

The Word for Today is Authenticity.

What does Authentic really mean? True, rather than false? Living true to yourself?

The world will be a better place if people are true to themselves.

Friday, September 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, September 25, 2009

The Word for Today is Interpretation.

I have been told how beneficial it is to learn more than one language good enough that you can think in both of them. That allows your mind to go in multiple directions, facilitating a mental flexibility.

The other benefit of this is that there are always openings for language interpreters.

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 24, 2009

The Word for Today is Socialization.

What does it mean to be social? Togetherness? Domestication? Lots of cocktail parties?

One thing it does NOT mean is to be a hermit!

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 23, 2009

The Word for Today is Concentration.

You get what you concentrate on. Lots of people agree with this. But there's the flip side, where you also get what you worry about. Worry comes across to me as negative pole Concentration. The problem is that the object is still there. Even when you are trying to eliminate a bad habit, don't concentrate on the object of what you are attempting to change. Instead, find a replacement.

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 22, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

One of the Goals in the Michael Teachings is Acceptance. This is a corollary to that where, to accept, be acceptable!

Also remember that the most person to be acceptable to is yourself.

Monday, September 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, September 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Generosity.

You can often tell a generous person just by looking at them. They look soft and pleasant. And their eyes!

A lot of people are selectively generous. But it takes a special person to be, just simply, generous!

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 20, 2009

The Word for Today is Sharing.

This goes together with the theme, as it takes more than one to share.

Weekly Theme: Week of September 20-26, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Partnership.

The idea is to work together, that four eyes are better than two. Obviously, compatibility is a good idea.

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Words for the Day: Saturday, September 19, 2009

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

Before getting lost in details, it is always a good idea to have a good overview of the topic at hand. And never let those details allow you to lose perspective.

Both of these words have to do with getting a good, clear view of that forest (you know, the one that contains all those trees).

Friday, September 18, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, September 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

I don't think the Michael Teachings had what you see in a mirror as their meaning.

If not, what? Actually, this is related to last Tuesday's word, Review, but in a more introspective way. (For example, "Take a moment to reflect on what you did last week").

However, there is nothing wrong with looking at yourself in a mirror.

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Study.

This can be a noun ("meet me in my Study"), or a verb ("please Study before next week's test").

I like to study reality, while I live it.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

This appears to be a rather passive attribute. Just watch, listen and pay attention.

In the Michael Teachings, this is a Scholar attribute.

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Review.

I find it useful to take a few minutes, before going to sleep, to review the day I just lived.

(Note that this is good practice for life review after you die).

Monday, September 14, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, September 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

When we know that it is ok to experiment, the mistakes we make don't seem so bad.

Whatever you do today, have fun!

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Recognition.

Notice how you recognize some people right away ("I know him!"), but other people take more time ("Now that I think of it, he looks familiar")?

This is also a source for Deja Vu.

Weekly Themes: Week of September 13-19, 2009

There are two themes this week: Guidance and Mentor.

Both of these have to do with teaching, but guidance is more being there while the student muddles around. Mentoring is more personal.

Saturday, September 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Resolve.

I see two main meanings here, one famous for New Year's: "I resolve to ___" (fill in the blank). But the other meaning was one I got tired of, during the George W. Bush administration: "We can't lose our resolve" (usually when talking about war).

I wonder which meaning the Michael Teachings has in mind?

Friday, September 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, September 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Courage.

Interesting day (9/11) for this word to come up on.

Note that courage does not mean not feeling fear, but the ability to act constructively even though.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Words for the Day: Thursday, September 10, 2009

The Words for Today are Strength and Empowerment.

Do you know your own strength? Do you feel empowered?

This goes beyond weight training, by the way.

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Competence.

We each have our specialties in life. These are where our greatest competence lie. Don't try to overextend yourself.

Note an interesting date: 9/9/09.

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 8, 2009

The Word for Today is Endurance.

This word gives me the heebee geebee's, since one of my personal issues is Drudgery.

There are, of course, positive aspects to this word, such as in sports. How about learning how to endure joy?

Monday, September 7, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, September 7, 2009

The Word for Today is Fertility.

There are more than one way to be fertile. A fertile imagination, for example.

A different meaning for, "Be fruitful and multiply", for sure.

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 6, 2009

The Word for Today is Stability.

It seems that Stability is related to the Security need, and often negated by the Adventure need.

Consider Stability to be a part of setting up a firm foundation for your life. Also consider that you can be stable in one area of your life, but adventurous in others.

Weekly Theme: Week of September 6-12, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Domestication.

One thing pointed out to me a while back: Domestication does not necessarily mean tame!

So what does it mean? Ability to function in a family setting? Not all people qualify!

Saturday, September 5, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 5, 2009

The Word for Today is Release.

I often hear this as a comparison word, such as "release from" something (even as severe as "release from prison"). It's as if the results of the release are always better than before.

Is this always true? What do you think of when you think of the word, Release?

Friday, September 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, September 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Aspiration.

This is where you look for the highest and seek to achieve it.

What can you accomplish this lifetime?

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Contrast.

Here we find the differences between. Contrast is very between.

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 2, 2009

The Word for Today is Adaptability.

The flexible person adapts to his or her environment. The inflexible person asks the environment to adapt to him or herself.

How flexible are you?

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Words for the Day: Tuesday, September 1, 2009

There are two Words for Today: Agility and Grace.

At first sight, these both look like physical plane attributes, such as a master gymnast or figure skater. But think how else they can work. How about an agile mind or a graceful spirit?

Monday, August 31, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, August 31, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceleration.

It's like breathing in and out, speeding up and slowing down. Life is like this.

The key is to gain control over this.

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Words for the Day: Sunday, August 30, 2009

There are two Words for Today: Patience and Tolerance.

It is amazing how well these words go together. For example, a patient person generally is more accepting and tolerant of people different from him or her.

Another way these words go together is through their opposite. For example, in the Michael Teachings, the negative pole of the Chief Feature of Impatience is Intolerance.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 30 - September 5, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Health.

Remember that there are more than one types of health. Besides bodily health, there are emotional health and mental health.

Can you think of more of these?

Saturday, August 29, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 29, 2009

The Word for Today is Acknowledgment.

It is always good work to acknowledge those who help you.

Friday, August 28, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, August 28, 2009

The Word for Today is Kindness.

It doesn't take much kindness to warm up a frigid room. Likewise, I firmly believe that true kindness can thaw out relationships between people and nations, eventually ending wars forever.

Be kind to someone today.

Thursday, August 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Encouragement.

Inside this word is Courage. It's like you're helping another person by adding your courage to theirs.

I guess the only question is what are you encouraging?

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 26, 2009

The Word for Today is Thoughtfulness.

Breaking this word up, we get Full of Thought. One part is to think before you act or speak. The other is to think of the others around you and be thoughtful: For example, open that door for another, regardless of gender. Give help when it is needed.

The world can be a better place.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 25, 2009

The Word for Today is Support.

There are many kinds of Support, and many sources of Support. For example, Essence supports us.

Remember that we are all Interdependent.

Monday, August 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, August 24, 2009

The Word for Today is Comfort.

What I find amazing is how strenuously some people will ruin their lives, as well as lives of others around them, in search for personal comfort.

True Comfort comes from within.

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 23, 2009

The Word for Today is Nourishment.

Remember that it is as important to nourish your mind and spirit as it is your body.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 23-29, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Service.

It is amazing how good it can feel to serve others, especially if your service comes from your interests and strengths.

This marks the beginning of a 7 week Michael Month with the energy of the Server Role. It also marks the beginning of a 7 month Michael Year.

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 22, 2009

The Word for Today is Prosperity.

Live long and prosper.

Note that this marks the end of the King Month, and the end of the Michael Year. Tomorrow will bring in a new, Server Month.

(To the Michael Math people out there, today is 1029, and tomorrow is 1).

Also, there is a triple King aspect today, with a triple Server aspect tomorrow.

Fasten your seat belts, folks, and enjoy the ride.

Friday, August 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, August 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Liberation.

This word is often used in different ways, often politically. In its negative pole, governments often call a violent takeover of a country "liberation". However, in its positive pole comes the statement, "The Truth will set you free".

Liberate yourself.

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 20, 2009

The Word for Today is Wisdom.

Know that wisdom comes mainly from life experience, with its ups and downs. Book reading is not enough.

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 19, 2009

The Word for Today is Impartiality.

A neutral, Scholarly attribute, this is what news agencies try for, yet regularly fail at.

At the very least, consider all sides of an issue, and avoid jumping to conclusions.

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

The Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Consequence.

This is the law of Karma. What comes around goes around. What you sow, you reap.

The best approach? Think before you act or speak.

Monday, August 17, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, August 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Elimination.

If I combine this with our weekly theme, I get Complete Elimination. That sounds ominous!

But do remember that it is difficult to add new things, when your living space (or mind) is cluttered with prior items.

Sunday, August 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Self-Reliance.

This is the ability to function on your own. When you take care of yourself, you have more to share with others.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 16-22, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Completion.

How do you know when an issue is complete? If you are still working on it, it's probably not!

Remember that the process is as important as the outcome.

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Expansion.

Once again, I believe that the Michael Teachings are looking more at Spiritual Expansion than expansion of the weight of the human body.

Expand wisely.

Friday, August 14, 2009

Words for the Day: Friday, August 14, 2009

The Words for Today are Trust and Faith.

Trust your Essence and have Faith in God. And know that the two are related.

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Gratitude.

First off, a little Gratitude goes a long way! And my own experience finds that, when coupled with Vision, Gratitude has a way of softening the eyes.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Equality.

Tying this to our theme, do we get equal vision or vision of equals? My take on Equality is equal opportunity.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Prudence.

If we combine this with this week's theme, Vision, we look Prudently at the world, not jumping to conclusions about every little thing we see. In other words, not throwing Judgment at everything around us. (In the bible: "Judge not lest you be judged". -- Matthew 7:1-6 [Continue reading for some explanations]).

I put a joke in my Facebook post: "Is it Prudent to be a Prude?"

Monday, August 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, August 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Innocence.

To blend this with the theme, innocent vision, or a purity of vision like a child would see something.

Note that this is the home position for my Energy/Beauty aspect.

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 9, 2009

The word for today is Forgiveness.

What does it mean to forgive somebody? Do you give them something? I remind people that the Positive Pole of Acceptance is, besides Agape, Embracement.

The Theme for the Week: 8/09-8/15/2009

The Theme for this Week is Vision.

What does it mean to see? What is clear vision?

The world wants to know.

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 8, 2009

The Word for Today is Authenticity.

Authentic, as opposed to counterfeit? What would it mean to be a counterfeit person?

One interpretation of Authentic that I have is able to simply relax and be myself. In other words, no requirement to live a lie.

Friday, August 7, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, August 7, 2009

The Word for Today is Interpretation.

What does it mean to interpret? One meaning is to be a running translator, between two languages. For example, a person who knows both English and Espanol can facilitate a conversation between two people who otherwise do not understand each other.

Note that the role combination for this word is Sage and Priest.

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 6, 2009

The Word for Today is Socialization.

What does it mean to be Social? We blend together? There is a recent word that came from Michael Educational Foundation (mef.to): Embracement. This is being put out as a new word to account for the positive pole of the Goal of Acceptance.

I like this.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 5, 2009

The Word for Today is Concentration.

Concentration implies focus. And a little focus goes a long way towards accomplishing what you need to. And, as I remind people on Facebook, there was a game show on TV.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

Let's turn this word around: Acceptability? Ability to Accept?

Need I say more?

Monday, August 3, 2009

The Word for the Day: Monday, August 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Generosity.

This is something else that this world needs badly. What do we see in the news? Republicans fighting tooth and nail over how we will NOT fund healthcare? (Like how bad a tax on cosmetic surgery would be, for example).

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 2, 2009

The Word for Today is Sharing.

Like I stated on Facebook (where I now also share the Daily Word), the world can certainly use more of this.

My feeling is that the act of Sharing is a gift from Heaven. What you often find in some of the less evolved realms is, "No. You can't have this. You didn't pay me enough!"

The topic in the news that reminds me of this is Healthcare.

Weekly Theme: Week of 8/02 to 8/08/2009

The Theme for this Week is Union.

The feelings I get from the word Union is joining and connections. Like networking with other people. (This is the opposite of Separation and Loneliness).

My friends say I should be out there with people more. I think they may be right.

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Words for the Day: Saturday, August 1, 2009

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

The idea here is to step back and take in the big picture. This is what is known as King casting.

Friday, July 31, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, July 31, 2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

Today's word reminds me of mirrors. I'm currently re-reading one from my childhood: Alice through the Looking Glass.

Anyone remember the scene in the Matrix movie, where Neo took the Red Pill, touched a mirror, and got attacked by it? Which then led to him waking up in the slimy pod? (Am I getting morbid these days? LOL!)

Please note that I'm also giving the Word for the Day on Facebook. Find me there.

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 30, 2009

The Word for Today is Study.

I'm going to use this opportunity to bring up the Michael Teachings topic of the Four Pillars.

Briefly, the Four Pillars are True Work, True Rest, True Play and True Study. My True Study is Spirituality. This means that my life goes more smoothly when I include spirituality in, say, the topics of the books I read. This makes studying the Michael Teachings a no brainer for me.

One day, when I was pondering the Four Pillars, I got the most hilarious thought: The Four Pillars are the foundation to put your Platform on.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 29, 2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

So what does this make me? A sponge for the day? It fits the Scholar role to a tee, as we often are in "receptive mode", sitting quietly in a room, taking in, say, a meeting. Coupled with Integration, it makes me think of the totality, absorbing its fragments.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 28, 2009

The Word for Today is Review.

Today's word puts me right smack back in school, as, before a test, there was generally a period of time devoted to Review.

One of my unpaid dream jobs (you're burning me out, Essence!) is as one of the many Librarians and Researchers that make up the Akashic Records. In this position, I help the recently deceased through a special kind of Review, which we call, "Life Review". The funny thing about this kind of review is that it doesn't lead to a test, but is, instead, the goal itself, as it gives information that is important, when choosing the next lifetime.

Monday, July 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, July 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

As a physicist, I love to experiment. (Unfortunately, it can get expensive, fast!)

But experimentation can go many ways. Last week Monday evening was spent at the San Francisco Green Tortoise Hostel, in a Coed dorm. This with a loner who has "True Rest" of Solitude. [Check out the Michael concept of the Four Pillars: True work/play/rest/study]. Needless to say, this took me way outside of my comfort zone. Far enough out to allow me to meet a friendly woman named Ellen, who is also a Physicist. This is a new concept for me: Relationship experimentation.

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 26, 2009

The Word for Today is Recognition.

What does it mean to recognize somebody? Often, it simply means to be paying attention enough to remember an earlier encounter. Sharing the recognition can mean the courage to possibly feel embarrassment, if the other person rejects the contact. Once again, I feel that the Michael Teachings has something deeper in mind, but am a bit tired and need some sleep.

Note that the Weekly Themes correspond to the Michael concept of Global Job. Likewise, the Words for the Day correspond to Community Responsibilities.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 26 to August 1, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Integration.

What does it mean to be Integrated? Our country fought over this (often quite literally) for years, when it was racial integration. I suspect that the Michael Teachings has another meaning in mind, but I am too tired from my Greyhound vacation to try to spell it out.

Feel free to comment on this post with your feelings on Integration.

Catching up: Week of July 19-25, 2009

I was out of town much of the week in question. Do you know that, for $199, you can "Discover America" on the Greyhound Bus Lines for a week? (This used to be called the "Greyhound Ameripass").

The theme for 7/19-25/2009 was Survival. This corresponds to the Warrior week of the King month. Funny that that was the theme, during my week-long Greyhound trip!

Words for the day: Sunday = Stability. Monday = Fertility. Tuesday = Endurance (and BOY did I feel it!) Wednesday = Competence (and mine was tested to the hilt). Thursday had two words, Strength and Empowerment. Friday = Courage. And Saturday = Resolve.

I am glad to be home!

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Release.

So how in the world would somebody manifest Release? It doesn't even seem to make sense at first. Release from what?

But when I think of it, release from whatever internal prison I happen to be in. In fact, it feels great to be free!

Free yourselves! Find your own release!

Friday, July 17, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, July 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Aspiration.

Aspire to your highest, and it helps you to Manifest.

(I like this, where I tie the word to the weekly theme).

Thursday, July 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Contrast.

I experience (ok, manifest, to bring the theme in) Contrast every day! All I had to do was to heal both sides of my brain. I suggest Educational Kinesiology [google it. I just got 4,030,000 hits!] to anybody who's interested in accessing the other side of THEIR brain. (Learn the Cross Crawls! Such an easy Calisthenic to do!)

One example of a concrete change in my life, since I can use both sides of my brain? I'm ambidextrous! I can write with both my right and left hands. People are more used to me with my right hand, so I usually practice left handed writing in private.

Back to Contrast. What if the right eyeball sees one reality and the left eyeball sees another? Fortunately, they match most of the time, and I call 911 when they don't. I'll leave that for you to ponder.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Adaptability.

Continuing my theme, how WOULD one manifest adaptability? Actually, I think this would be better turned around: Being Adaptable makes Manifestation better.

By the way, I want to publicly honor a friend, who helped me to find my Manifestation skills. Her name is Lani Allen and she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. She hounded me relentlessly, until I finally agreed to admit to suffering from sexual abuse as a child. I wish to publicly tell her that I asked my Psychiatrist to please find a Group Therapy session for me.

There, Lani. You happy? Everybody on the Internet now knows about you. Maybe this will help your musical aspirations. Are you still a composer?

Words for the Day: Tuesday, July 14, 2009

The Words for Today are Agility and Grace.

Usually, I am agile and graceful, but have been on medication that caused me to lose this.

How do I know? Risperidone makes me me too clumsy for even the simplest of Yoga moves.

Fortunately, I found a Psychiatrist who works with Wholistic Health yesterday and agrees with me that I should put myself into balance. (I've been getting tired of these "Secular Humanist Psychiatrists" who thought I was Bipolar, just because I believe in things such as the Michael Teachings! Yuck!)

So now, I will be able to Manifest both Agility and Grace.

See you on the TeleGroup call!

Monday, July 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, July 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceleration.

Manifestation, tied to Acceleration? Wow! I'm sorry, but today, I'm going to have to point out, "Be careful what you ask for. You might get it!"

Why did I react to this? Because people are all agreeing that I need to slow down and take time to smell the flowers.

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Words for the Day: Sunday, July 12, 2009

The Words for Today are Patience and Tolerance.

So how would one manifest Patience and/or Tolerance? Just relax and do it! Couldn't be simpler!!!

Life is simple. People make it complicated.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 12-18, 2009

The Theme for this week is Manifestation.

We all manifest, all of the time. But do we do it consciously, or by default?

I've been told to never worry. I know this is for a good reason. Because I know that worry is "Negative Goal Setting".

These are all good reasons to manifest consciously. Book suggestion: Anything by Esther Hicks. These are the Abraham books.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Acknowledgment.

Let's acknowledge our Patrons!

Friday, July 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, July 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Kindness.

With patronage, it is good to be kind to those that patronize you.

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Encouragement.

With the theme? Let's encourage Patronage! (This is working better than I thought it would be).

Wednesday, July 8, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 8, 2009

The Word for Today is Thoughtfulness.

So today, we have the Thoughtful Patron. I suspect that this is the best kind.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 7, 2009

The Word for Yesterday was Support.

Once again, building on the week so far, it is easier for a well fed and comfortable Patron to provide approval and Support for the cause in question. (Note that today's word shows up in meanings for this week's Theme-word, Patronage).

Word for the Day: Monday, July 6, 2009

The Word for last Monday was Comfort.

To continue my theme of coupling the word with the theme, yesterday's nourishment helped our Patron to be comfortable today.

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 5, 2009

The Word for last Sunday was Nourishment.

If we couple this with our weekly theme, what do we get, a well-fed Patron?

Weekly Theme, Week of 7/05 to 7/11/2009

The Theme for this Week is Patronage.

What does it mean to be a Patron? Providing approval and support? Some people make a job of this.

Note that this marks the beginning of the last seven-week Michael Month for this Michael Year. This month has the flavor of the King Essence Role.

Saturday, July 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 4, 2009

The Word for Today is Prosperity.

Taken in context with the theme (Principles-Ethics), it means to be prosperous while being ethical. In other words, being prosperous without taking from others.

Friday, July 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, July 3, 2009

The Word for Today is Liberation.

When taken in context with Principles-Ethics, Liberation takes on a different slant. For example, there is the saying, "The Truth will set you Free". When living ethically, a person can simply relax and be him/herself. What is more liberating than that?

Thursday, July 2, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, 7/02/2009

The Word for Today is Wisdom.

What does Wisdom mean, when coupled with this week's Theme (Principles / Ethics)? My take is to be ethically wise. In fact, I see wisdom as including Principles and Ethics.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 1, 2009

The Word for Today is Impartiality.

I'm going to go out on a limb and liken Impartiality to being Objective. For example, describing something without putting a story behind it.

Is this possible? I am currently working to find out.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, 6/30/2009

The Word for Today is Consequence.

What is the Consequence of the action you are either taking, or not taking right now? (If nothing, congratulations! There is a lot to be said for a neutral stance).

Monday, June 29, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, 6/29/2009

The Word for Today is Elimination.

What could be easier? "Eliminate what does not work in your life"? Why does this look easier than it actually is? Perhaps because we invest in certain aspects of our lives, even when they do not appear to work. And people, in general, do not want their investments to fail.

Word for the Day: Sunday, 6/28/2009

The Word for Sunday was Self-Reliance.

According to recent information from the Michael Teachings, Self-Reliance may be going out of style, as people are going more in the direction of working together. I find this interesting, as I certainly have had a lot of trouble asking for help in this lifetime.

Instead of independence, ponder the word, Interdependence.

Weekly Theme: Week of 6/28 to 7/04/2009

The Themes for this week are Principles and Ethics.

What does it mean to be a Principled person? Perhaps not as much as you might think, as that phrase doesn't say anything about what those Principles are.

I find Ethics an easier word to ponder, as I see Law Abiding in Ethics.

How about Ethical Principles?

Saturday, June 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, 6/27/2009

The Word for Today is Expansion.

There are multiple ways to expand, not all of which may be considered desirable!

I suspect that the one the Michael Teachings mean is Spiritual Expansion.

Friday, June 26, 2009

Words for the Day: Friday, 6/26/2009

The Words for Today are Trust and Faith.

Trust comes up a lot in the news, including Iran demanding that the population trust the results of a recent election. But this brings up a good point: Trust must be earned, not demanded.

I may have stated this before, but a Human Potential class I took in the 1970's treated Faith as an Acronym: Father And I Together Here. But remember that faith needs eyes to see, as opposed to being blind.

Special note: Today includes an aspect of triple-Priest (Priest Month, Priest Week and Priest Day, which always occurs on Friday).

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, 6/25/2009

The Word for Today is Gratitude.

It is interesting that this word always comes on a Thursday, as that is also the day that the US holiday, Thanksgiving comes on.

So today is a good day to look closely at who to show Gratitude to.

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, 6/24/2009

The Word for Today is Equality.

What does it mean to be equal? Equality is a word that does not appear to work without comparison.

Who do you wish to be Equal to?

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, 6/23/2009

The Word for Today is Prudence.

There are obvious places where the word, Prudent is used, such as how important is is to approach the use of dangerous machinery (including automobiles) prudently. This is a down-to-Earth, practical word in my opinion.

Word for the Day: Monday, 6/22/2009

The Word for yesterday was Innocence.

Are you innocent? Innocent of what? However, I believe that the meaning desired is the one that might show up in the sentence, "... innocent like a child".

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 21, 2009

The Word for last Sunday was Forgiveness.

Obviously, I've asked myself for forgiveness for neglecting this BLOG. And, in general, self-forgiveness is quite important, and often overlooked.

Weekly Theme: Week of 6/21 to 6/27/2009.

The Themes for this week are Salvage and Salvation.

So what can we salvage from our lives? Hopefully, your life is not in a position where you might be asking that question. I've had some "dark nights of the Soul" that fit the question, however.

The word Salvation is often used in a religious context, as a synonym for "being Saved" (with a capital S). I believe the Michael teachings have something different in mind.

Catching up: Week of 6/14 to 6/20/2009

The Theme for this just prior week was Addiction.

The words are as follows: Sunday = Sharing. Monday = Generosity. Tuesday = Acceptability. Wednesday = Concentration. Thursday = Socialization. Friday = Interpretation. And Saturday = Authenticity.

Catching up: Week of 6/07 to 6/13/2009

The theme for this prior week was Simplification.

The words: Sunday = Recognition. Monday = Experimentation. Tuesday = Review. Wednesday = Absorption. Thursday = Study. Friday = Reflection. And Saturday = Overview and Perspective.

One more of this and then I'll see if I can get back into real time mode.

Saturday, June 6, 2009

Catching up: Week of 5/31-6/06/2009

Let's catch up here. The Theme for the week that just past was Sacrifice.

The words for last week were as follow:

Sunday was Stability. Monday was Fertility. Tuesday, Endurance. Wednesday Competence. Thursday had two words: Strength and Empowerment. Friday was Courage and Saturday was Resolve.

And then, let's look forward to the new energies coming onto this Planet. Believe it or not, things are looking up.

Saturday, May 30, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 30, 2009

The Word for Today is Release.

There are many meanings for Release, both noun and verb. The question is, what does the Michael Teachings have in mind?

One meaning I can see is that, even if we might feel imprisoned, we aren't. There are always ways to change a reality that doesn't feel good.

Friday, May 29, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, May 29, 2009.

The Word for Today is Aspiration.

Always Aspire to the highest you can achieve. Even if you don't make it, enjoy the journey.

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 28, 2009

The Word for yesterday was Contrast.

The world is a major study in Contrasts, with lots of variety. I look at this as a good thing.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 27, 2009

The Word for Today is Adaptability.

I've said this before, but like it a lot: Flexible people tend to adapt to their surroundings. However, inflexible people tend to ask their surroundings to adapt to them.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Words for the Day: Tuesday, May 26, 2009

The Words for Today are Agility and Grace.

Once again, these words go together, as those who are agile can come across as graceful.

One method I've seen for teaching gracefulness is to teach people to walk very slowly. Think about that.

Monday, May 25, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, 5/25/2009

The Word for Today is Acceleration.

People often think of Acceleration in terms of transportation, but that is not all there is to it.

To accelerate through life, what would the gas pedal look like?

Sunday, May 24, 2009

Words for the Day: Sunday, May 24, 2009.

The Words for Today are Patience and Tolerance.

These two words work together. A patient person is often more tolerant of differences, by design.

Weekly Theme: Week of May 24-30, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Prophecy.

Listen to your inner self. Follow your intuitions. Keep a journal. See what you come up with.

Word for the day: Saturday, May 23, 2009

The word for [yes] yesterday was Acknowledgment.

Monday is Memorial Day, where we remember those who fought for us in wars, past and, unfortunately, present. Besides that, acknowledge those who were before you, whatever that may be.

Friday, May 22, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, May 22, 2009

The Word for Today is Kindness.

I wish all of the kindest energy on all of you. And pass it along: A little Kindness goes a long way.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Encouragement.

(Sometimes I need Encouragement just to get out of bed in the morning).

Remember that Encouragement encompasses the word, Courage.

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 20, 2009

The Word for [ahem...] Yesterday was Thoughtfulness.

Full of thought? The basic idea is to think before acting and/or speaking.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 19, 2009

The Word for Today is Support.

There are many kinds of support: Moral, financial, and more. I look at Support the same way I look at Foundation. Both need to be strong.

Monday, May 18, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, May 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Comfort.

Please realize that Comfort is always relative. This is most obvious during temperature extremes, especially if heating and/or air conditioning is out of service.

Also note that Comfort is not only physical. It is possible to be emotionally more comfortable around some people than others. (Or situations! How comfortable is an IRS Audit, for example?)

Sunday, May 17, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 17, 2009

The Word for Today is Nourishment.

We have four major aspects, Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual. We usually think of the Physical when considering the word, Nourishment.

But ponder the fact that the other three aspects might need Nourishment also. What might it look and feel like?

Weekly Theme: Week of May 17-23, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Disability.

This is quite a controversial word, though, fortunately with much less stigma as in years past.

Let's consider the fact that, since it's hard to be an expert in every subject, we could all likely be considered disabled in some topic or other.

The best thing is to use whatever abilities and gifts we have. Even people who fit into the accepted definitions of Disability have many abilities, often sharper than people who are physically fit.

Note, by the way, that this marks the beginning of the sixth (of seven) "Michael Months", the Priest Block month, with the attribute of Salvation.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Prosperity.

This is a rather controversial word these days, due to the Financial issues that face this world.

What constitutes true Prosperity? Is a person prosperous who has large amounts of money and hoards it for him/herself? Would that person feel prosperous in a world that cannot support him/her?

In addition, money is not the only measure of Prosperity. What others can you think of?

Friday, May 15, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, May 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Liberation.

To a person in a prison, whether literal or self-inflicted, this is an important word, perhaps something to look forward to.

It can be as simple as how free it feels after, say, a maintenance task in a home is completed, and you can go on to other things.

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Wisdom.

My understanding is that Wisdom requires much more life experience than it does book knowledge. Just a word for the wise.

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Impartiality.

This is not an easy trait to achieve, as we all have our Personalities, made up of Essence Role, Frequency and Male/Female percentage, as well as the Overleaves we chose for this life. These all filter our reality, such that true Impartiality is hard to even conceive of, let alone achieve.

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, 5/12/2009

The Word for Today is Consequence.

No matter what you do, something is going to follow. Good reason to think things through first.

Monday, May 11, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, 5/11/2009

The Word for Today is Elimination.

This is a Perspective word. You must know what you have, before you can eliminate any of it.

So eliminate carefully. It's easy to throw something away tomorrow, after you've had some time to get some perspective.

But it's harder on the other side. For example, how would you go about getting something back that you threw away in error?

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, 5/10/2009

The Word for today is Self-Reliance.

The funny thing is that this appears to be a trait that is going out of style, as the world learns how to be interdependent.

Keep it in your bag of tricks, however.

Weekly Theme: Week of 5/10 - 5/16/2009

The Theme for this week is Diplomacy.

What does it take to be a Diplomat? Two key features are tactfulness, as well as the ability to handle diversity.

These seem like good traits for life at large.

Saturday, May 9, 2009

Word for the day: Saturday, 5/09/2009

The Word for Today is Expansion.

I find Expansion a lot more pleasant than Contraction.

Friday, May 8, 2009

Words for the Day: Friday, 5/08/2009

The Words for Today are Trust and Faith.

Remember that Trust must be earned. However, trust in Essence (beginning with your Intuition) has brought me far.

Faith is a different animal, as it can be blind (i.e. negative pole of the Spiritualist Attitude, in the Michael system). But a general faith in the higher good has also brought me far.

Have a good weekend!

Thursday, May 7, 2009

Word for the Day: Thursday, 5/07/2009

The Word for Today is Gratitude.

Who are you thankful to today? Express it!

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, 5/06/2009

The Word for Today is Equality.

Remember that equality does not mean a mass of twisty passages, all equal.

Instead, it means equal opportunity to be your own, unique self.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, 5/05/2009

The Word for -- yesterday -- was Prudence.

Prudence does not necessarily mean being a prude.

Think about it!

Monday, May 4, 2009

Word for the Day: Monday, May 4th, 2009

The Word for Today is Innocence.

Are you innocent? Guilty? None of the above?

The real gem behind this is the innocence of a child. The ability to play act as a tourist when you live in the area in question. It is fun.

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Word for the Day: Sunday, 5/03/2009

The Word for Today is Forgiveness.

Always remember that one of the most important people to forgive is yourself!

Weekly Themes: Sunday-Saturday, 5/03-5/09/2009

The two Themes for this week are Intercourse and Dialogue.

Note that there are more than one definition for Intercourse. Even the one people think of most has been described as "communication between two people", in Tantric literature.

Dialogue is a bit easier, but please remember that one portion of it is listening.

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Word for the Day for Saturday, 5/02/2009

The Word for Today is Authenticity.

Is it real or is it authentic?

Friday, May 1, 2009

Word for the Day for Friday, 5/01/2009

The Word for Today is Interpretation.

How do you interpret your life?

Word for the Day: Thursday, 4/30/2009

The [ahem] word for yesterday was Socialization.

The Human being is a Social Animal.

Note to Sages: Check back on this day: There was a Triple Sage energy present.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Word for the Day for Wednesday, 4/29/2009

The Word for Today is Concentration.

Have you ever heard the saying, "You get what you Concentrate on"?

Well, it's worked for me!  Problem is, that's included some unpleasant realities over the years.

See, if you're afraid of something (i.e.  Mental Illness or some such), you are Concentrating on it!  Simple as that.

So be careful of what you concentrate on.  :-)

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Word for the Day for Tuesday, 4/28/2009

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

Do you Accept yourself?  (That is the first step, leading toward liking yourself and, even better, loving yourself.  And how can you be honest about loving others, before you love yourself?)

We all want Acceptability with others.  So what do so many people do about it?  Worry about it!  But have you heard the latest about Worry?  I was told it is "Negative Goal Setting".  (Word to the wise).

Word for Monday, 4/27/2009

The Word for yesterday was Generosity.

The first person to be Generous with is yourself.  Take care of yourself!  And then, when you feel good about yourself, it will be easier to be Generous with other people.  (And quite natural, as well).

Word of the Day for Sunday, 4/26/2009

The Word (sorry, belated) for Sunday was Sharing.

It's not as hard to share with each other as you might think.  And it feels SO good.

Weekly Theme: Week of 4/26 - 5/02/2009

The Theme for this Week is a great one:    Humor

We all need our Sense of Humor, or, in my opinion, we are lost.

Saturday, April 25, 2009

Word for the day: Saturday, 4/25/2009

The Words for today are Overview and Perspective.

Both Overview and Perspective are Kingly words, that Big Picture people do.  They go together.

Also, the Love version of this, #567, occurred 343 days ago Saturday, 5/18/2008, and is now Ken Parker's permanent home (at least the Love version, who will remain here to provide support to the whole, while Truth [Chris Hansen, Dateline NBC] and Beauty [Composer Gustav Mahler] move around the chart like before).  (There's a LOT of leeway to the 6th Chakra position, the 3rd Eye one, which can be stationary, while the rest of Ken Parker moves around, it turns out).

It also turns out that the Ken Parker who was born 7/22/1953 is more delicate than we all thought, here in Essence-Land.  So Ken has been "kicked upstairs" to Management, while Chris and Gustav channel him through for the rest of his natural life.

Keep your Perspective active while holding a good Overview of reality, folks!

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Friday, April 24, 2009

Word for the Day: Friday, 4/24/2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

Homework assignment:  Reflect on your life so far.  Like it?  Not so much?  Any ideas for improvement?

What did you do?  If you are serious about the exercise you just did, you did what a number of people did, who thought they might be dead, but were only almost.  (Near Death Experiences frequently include conscious powwows with Guides and Oversouls, regarding life changes).

One more note:  This exercise will also make things easier when (not if, unfortunately) you die, as this is exactly what occurs during life "review" (last Tuesday's word).

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Word for the Day: Thursday, 4/23/2009

The Word for, ahem, yesterday, 4/23/2009 was Study.

What's   your   field of study?

Even more importantly, what's your   true study?

That's one of the Four Pillars of the Michael System  (I've wondered:  Four Pillars you can put your Platform on?)

Ask your nice Michael Channel to give you your Four Pillars, as well as your Platform, and you'll know more about what I speak of.

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Word for the Day: Wednesday, 4/22/2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

"Resistance is futile.  You will be absorbed".    No, I'm not changing to anything like that.  But I'm thinking about something like a "Positive Pole Borg", when faced with a difficult word such as this.

I suspect the Michael Teachings was thinking about something like "Absorbing the Realities around you", which fits x/Scholar/Scholar quite well, since Scholars often find out something, but then don't necessarily pass what he/she learns to anybody else, unless the other person asks the correct question(s).

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Word for the Day: Tuesday, 4/21/2009

The Word for Today is Review.

Review?  Like Life Review between lives?  Like Reviewing for a Test in School?  (You know, those two might even be related!)

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Monday, April 20, 2009

Word for the Day, Monday, 4/20/2009

The word for today is Experimentation.

This is, perhaps my favorite "Community Responsibility   --   oh, sorry, I mean Word for the Day" on the entire Michael DNA chart that these Transits are based on!!!  (Oh, and that brings up a question for Michael North and/or JP Van Hulle:  Can I  PLEASE  use a machine readable version that I'm allowed [by copyright law] to use with this BLOG?  Thank you in advance!  See, I'm the "exception that proves a rule".  I ALWAYS ask permission before doing something strange.  [OK.  Essence just told me I'd better use a Gilbert and Sullivan exception:  "Well, Hardly Ever!!!"])

B y the way, has anybody any question, as to whether I'm a "Mad Scientist" at heart that experiments a lot, even when I'm "being ethical" about it?  Huh???  Yes, you back there!  I can see you, even though I haven't even posted this BLOG entry.   How could you have missed something as important and obvious as that??!!  Aren't ALL Scholars a Scientist at heart, mad or otherwise, unless they're too busy playacting a different Role?  What did I do wrong such that you didn't figure that one out, you back there???  I didn't even think that I was that subtle about it.

Oh well, anybody who reads this BLOG and can fly to Seattle by this coming Friday is, of course welcome to "A Universal Conference"  --  (or)  --  "A Conference on Universes".

Where, do you ask?  Simple, "Stonehouse Bookstore & Growth", 10600 NE 68th St., Kirkland, WA  98033.  Bookstore phone = 425-889-5106.

When?  Even simpler:  Public is invited Friday, 4/24/2009 at 7:30 pm.  (Unless I'm missing somebody who RSVP'd, 7:30 pm means 7:35 pm start.  Did anyone know that I'm pretty prompt?   Yes!  I'm talking about those on the Tuesday TeleGroup call who used to always find me on the call first!  And I'll trust Laura Sessions to pass this post along to the TeleGroup list.  Thanks in advance, Laura, I knew all along that I could trust you!!!)

"When squared?"  Yup!!!  If you get this from my BLOG or via email or any list that doesn't mind cross-posting (ooohhh, shucks!  That eliminates most of the Michael lists.  Maybe I can post to a Seth [Jane Roberts] list, but I better edit out the Michael-only material first), then you're invited to the entire weekend, including Saturday, 4/25/2009 at 10 am, until people agree we can quit for the night.  Sunday's special, as it begins elsewhere, as will be described to attendees on either Friday night or on Saturday.  We probably won't be reconvening at the bookstore until 1-1:30 pm (partly because people who meet me at "Unspecified Alternative location" will likely be treated to a great lunch, depending on how much the donations were Friday evening.  Yup!  No donations = some fast food joint, as I've pretty much exhausted my own funds, by tomorrow when I pay the remainder on the room at Stonehouse).

Donations?  What, you might ask?  "You told me this was free!!!"    ------    Yup!  You WERE right the first time.  There is SO MUCH no charge that I won't actually LOOK at the opaque Donation Jar [or whatever it actually looks like, as I haven't purchased it yet], until AFTER we are breaking up for the evening.  I was actually stressing the "No Charge" bit, because some who can actually HELP me with Universe Reconfiguration (one topic for Saturday and/or Sunday)  have taking a solemn vow of poverty.  (And they may not even know it yet, because they THINK it's a Self-Karma!!!  Yup!  Joke's on you, folks!!!   You can turn these Self-Karma's around in the same "Blink of an Eye" as my other BLOG calls it!  All it takes is a certain amount of neutrality!) Special note: Those who actually HAVE MONEY and read this, can help me pay for that room at Stonehouse, as well as next month's rent? sea_kenp@mac.com is also my PayPal address.  Did I also tell you people that I live so close to the edge that I'm not comfortable unless I have at least ONE foot over the cliff edge!  But that's the main reason I believe I'm the most qualified to put on this conference at this particular time.  (Also the fact that Michael Transits match my "Natal Michael Chart".

One more question you might have, based on prior notifications: "What was this nonsense about 'Required Reading'? OK. Well, that was partway a joke, but only partway. I was trying to get people to see how special this Parallel [titled 'Pregnant Woman'] actually is! Even 'His Holiness, The Dalai Lama' is helping me to do a good job at this Conference. How do I know that? [said very grumpily by anyone who wants to know how I know I am different?] Well, up to this point, hasn't the Dalai Lama mostly written about World Piece [sp?] and how China should treat Tibet better?

Well, guess what?  I have a book right now in my hand by The Dalai Lama himself, titled, "The Universe in a Single Atom".  How many Parallels has he had the time, as well as Energy, to write a book on Quantum Physics?  Isn't he too concerned about World Peace to even THINK of branching out, in the majority of Parallels, where he's managed to keep himself alive?

Don't believe me?  Follow this link! One more thing: It's perfectly ok to purchase this book, or not to, your preference. But it WILL be referred to.

Thank you and best regards,

Word for the Day: Sunday, 4/19/2009

The Word for Yesterday  [Yup, just starting up again, and I'm already late!]:   Recognition.

Who do you recognize around you?   (I'm sure the Michael books had a different meaning in mind, such as recognizing what's important in your surroundings.  But I'm sure this is "close enough for Government Work, especially if I'm in a hurry and don't even know how to properly navigate a different Chief Feature, such as Impatience!")

Best regards,

Ken Parker

Weekly Theme: 4/19 - 4/25/2009

The Theme for this week (Sunday - Saturday) is Mediation.

Note that this also corresponds to my "Home Week".

I'll have to fine a Date Calculator program for Linux, Mac or Windows (in order of preference) to see if Wednesday, July 22, 1953 fits into the Wednesday of this week.

Anybody who's getting this know a good Date Calculation program?  Either email me at sea7kenp@gmail.com, or "Comment on this BLOG entry".

Thank you in advance, and best regards,

Ken Parker  (Usually sea_kenp@mac.com, but that's been "Glitchy" for a while.  Perhaps I'm too close to being "over quota" on it).

An Apology, as Well as a Bit of Catching Up.

Hello folks,

I just had a "mini-burnout" between my "day job" (computer professional), my Essence level, and my Personality level. I believe I am through it, making it to the other side, but there is a bit of cleaning up to do, including catching up on the Michael Transits.

I will go ahead and enter the missing Words, as well as the Theme, in their proper order, as I've been doing all along, but it may take me multiple days to catch up, because I will not tolerate "expediency", at the expense of clarity.

However, that said, later on in this BLOG post, to help get you people started, I will state what those words are, without definitions, even going a bit farther than the current day. That will give you a chance to look at what those words mean to you, before reading the definitions that I provide.

I'm currently working on a "Calendar" for my Universe, which could become, say, a "Wall Calendar" (online, as well as on paper), showing the Seven "Michael Months". I haven't found "Month Names I like yet, but the original Michael terms for these, which they call a "Block" will do for now.

This current "Lessor Year", corresponding with the Energy or Beauty side of the Michael Chart began with a Server energy month, starting Sunday, September 14, and ending Saturday, November 1, 2008. The month with the Artisan flavor began on Sunday, November 2, and ended on Saturday, December 20, 2008. The current Michael Month has a distinct Warrior feel to it, and began on Sunday, December 21, 2008. It is set to complete on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

Continuing forward in time, the fourth "Michael Month" has the flavor (if not necessarily my final name) of Scholar (Sunday, February 8, through Saturday, March 28, 2009). And then Sage (Sunday, March 29, through Saturday, May 16, 2009), Priest (Sunday, May 17, through Saturday, July 4, 2009. Hmmm... Priest/King/King falls on Independence Day this year? Wow!) And finally, King (Sunday, July 5, through Saturday, August 22, 2009).

Since, as I noted above, this "Lesser Year" corresponds to the Energy or Beauty side of the Michael Chart, it ends the three-part "Greater Year", that began with the Truth side (Start date to be determined, but ending with Saturday, October 6, 2007), and the Love side (Sunday, October 7, 2007 through Saturday, September 13, 2008). Note the pattern here: I envision a Lesser Michael Year to be Seven Months, each consisting of Seven Weeks, thus 343 days. A Greater Michael Year, the next of which begins on Sunday, August 23, 2009, consists of three Lessor Years, or 1029 days.

I am fully aware of the fact that My calendar is either 22 or 23 days under our normal Solar Calendar. Therefore, if I were to offer this at some future date (I don't know -- perhaps, when Earth is ready to move into Old Soul Consciousness, from Mature Soul Consciousness), it might be arranged, such that there was a special "vacation time", either between "Michael Months", or, perhaps, a longer "vacation period" between "Lesser Michael Years". (I started saying "vacation days", but we would need to be careful, as I truly feel different energies on different days of the week, which correlate to the energy of the Michael Roles (for example, Saturdays are such busy days, with people going all out, but, at about 3 am on many a Sunday morning, I'll find everything silent, as people, perhaps, begin to prepare for their next week. And, of course, there is that thing called a "Hangover", often occurring more on Sundays than other days of the week, for the Alcoholically inclined).

The Michael Entity often points out Nexus points in our upcoming months (say, in Monthly Forecast tapes, emails, or, say, BLOG posts). I have twelve of them that are natural: Any time all three energies are of the same Role. For this Michael Year, the ones that have already occurred (so you can check what you experienced that day) are Server/Server/Server on Sunday, September 14, 2008, Artisan/Artisan/Artisan on Monday, November 10, 2008, and Warrior/Warrior/Warrior on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. The next one will be Triple Scholar on Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

As I stated at the beginning of this entry, I'll state the words in this post without definitions, and then post the definitions, as I complete my recovery. I'll then endeavor to get back on schedule going forward.

We left off with Thursday, January 22, 2009, Socialization. Completing that week, Friday, January 23 was Interpretation, and Saturday, January 24 was Authenticity.

The week we are in right now (1/25-1/31/2009) has a Priest feel to it, with the theme of Usefulness. Sunday's word is Forgiveness. Monday = Innocence, Tuesday = Prudence, Wednesday = Equality, Thursday = Gratitude, Friday = Trust and Faith, and Saturday = Expansion.

I'll close by giving next week's Theme, which is Strategy. Think about that. And I'll intend to be back in my "groove" as soon as I can.

Thank you.

Word for the Day for Thursday, January 22, 2009

The Word for Today is Socialization.

First, social animals (and hope that the ones you personally know are friendly ones). Second, we discuss Socialism, which often gets a bad rap. Third is what I've been recently doing, with a couple of positive pole definitions.

I'll need a new approach. Oh well. Here's a different Google Search than last time, giving some Socialization phrases, such as "the socialization of medical services", which I firmly believe this country badly needs, based on how many are currently uninsured, including me! (And, oh, how painful that can be, in many ways!)

Word for the Day for Wednesday, January 21, 2009

The Word for Today is Concentration.

First a game show. Then a charge to my readers. Finally, a look at, perhaps, the Darkest Side possible of Concentration.

Today, once again from Google, the definition I believe Michael might have had in mind, "complete attention; intense mental effort".

Word for the Day for Tuesday, January 20, 2009

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

First I asked you if you feel acceptable. Then I, in effect, put the very same question to the Bush Administration. (They haven't given me an answer yet). Finally, I equated Acceptability to Approval.

This time, I want to take a second look at the web definitions, particularly the Wordnet contribution, "satisfactoriness by virtue of conforming to approved standards".

I hear people complaining about how hard it is to be accepted in the world. The above definition suggests that it might not be as hard as it seems.

Word for the Day for Monday, January 19, 2009

The Word for Today is Generosity.

First, a paradox, next willingness, or lack thereof, and finally, a most fascinating Wikipedia article that suggests, among other things, that a drug, Oxytocin, can "increase" a person's Generosity! Oh boy! How in the world did I miss that, last time around?

I firmly believe that Generosity can not be legislated or instilled via a drug, but has to be by one's own free will.

Word for the Day for Sunday, January 18, 2009

The Word for Today is Sharing.

First, I just said to "share your gifts". Then, second time through, I actually took on the word, but without any links. However, third time was like the first, with a simple suggestion to Share.

This time, I go to the Web, finding, with the usual types of definitions, a number of phrases at the top of the screen that include "sharing" in them. For example, "cost sharing", "file sharing", "profit sharing", and "time sharing".

What do you think of, when you think of the word, Sharing?

Weekly Themes for Week of January 18-24, 2009

The Themes for this week are Economy and Practicality.

Economy happens to be an interesting topic these days. How are you financially? What is the state of our Country's Economy? Yes, there are challenges to face and problems to solve. This theme, of course, continues way beyond this week.

As for Practicality, I go to the web for a bit of help. One that I like is being "concerned with actual use rather than theoretical possibilities".

I invite feedback.

Words for the Day for Saturday, January 17, 2009

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

First, an "executive summary". Second, about writing and then reading. Third, the web definitions, including going to Shakespeare for Overview, and Optical Illusions for Perspective.

What in the world do I do for the fourth time through? I knew I'd eventually get here.

Let me remind you of a link I provided you last Sunday, when I shared the Weekly Theme. This time, I wish to point out that today's words correspond to the "Community Responsibility" that I took on, when I began my series of lifetimes on this particular, and most interesting planet that we call Earth.

Word for the Day for Friday, January 16, 2009

The Word for Today is Reflection.

I have plenty to reflect on today, such as an unusual news story yesterday, regarding US Air Flight 1549.

My prior experience of Reflection, seven weeks ago, marked the first time I went to a Third Time with the word. Now, I need to contend with the fourth expression of the word. This could, of course, get somewhat cumbersome.

So today, I will allow myself to be shaken up with unusual, as well as multidimensional expressions of reality, and give myself time for Reflection.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Word for the Day for Thursday, January 15, 2009

The Word for Today is Study.

First, I suggest discrimination, and then I debate whether Study is a noun or a verb.

This time, let's take another look at the web. Hey, I found one that ties into yesterdays word: "a state of deep mental absorption".

Have fun!

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Word for the Day for Wednesday, January 14, 2009

The Word for Today is Absorption.

The first time through, I compared humans to plants. Then I compare Absorption to the Michael Teaching's neutral concept of Assimilation.

What now? The web? The definition that frequently defines me is "the mental state of being preoccupied by something". That, as well as Concentration, is what I suspect that the Michael Teachings had in mind for this word.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Word for the Day for Tuesday, January 13, 2009

The Word for Today is Review.

First, it was Scalability, as if Review was a computer operating system. Then, seven weeks later,it was four one word synonyms from Wordnet, two nouns and two verbs.

Today, I go back to the web, but for more detailed definitions, such as "an essay or article that gives a critical evaluation", or "reappraisal: a new appraisal or evaluation".

Once again, I firmly believe that regular review of where you have gone, so far in your life, will make the Life Review easier, when you die.

Monday, January 12, 2009

Word for the Day for Monday, January 12, 2009

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

First was a fable, where my experiment caused my father a significant, financial consequence. Then,I get into an argument with Wikipedia, of all things!

This time, let's let others have their say: "We define experimentation in three tiers: discovery, hypothesis testing and demonstration".

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Word for the Day for Sunday, January 11, 2009

The Word for Today is Recognition.

I first compared this word to Acknowledgment (which last came up Saturday, December 27th). Then, the second time through, I went into Deja Vu, which I called a "special type of Recognition".

Time for the Web: Approval? Realization? What do you think when you think of Recognition?

Weekly Theme for Week of January 11-17, 2009

The Theme for this Week is Organization.

The Web has quite a bit to say, including two that are completely different: "a group of people who work together", and "arrangement: an organized structure for arranging or classifying". Can you see the difference between these two?

Note that the "Weekly Theme" that I use here corresponds exactly to the Michael concept of a Global Job. My suspicion is that, as a "Global Job", it is the second of the above web definitions that the Michael Teachings is referring to.

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Word for the Day for Saturday, January 10, 2009

The Word for Today is Resolve.

First, it was positive (i.e. New Year's "Resolutions") and negative (i.e. Bush telling us to keep our "Resolve" in an illegal Iraq war) uses of the word. Then, second time through, I honored one of the common links Google gives me when I ask it for definitions.

That link Google gave me last time was Wordnet at Princeton (unfortunately down tonight), which actually gave me some wonderful definitions today, such as, "resolution: a formal expression by a meeting; agreed to by a vote", and "conclude: reach a conclusion after a discussion or deliberation".

Have you made your New Year's Resolutions yet this year?

Friday, January 9, 2009

Word for the Day for Friday, January 9, 2009

The Word for Today is Courage.

First, it's Wizard of Oz. Then, I write a book about "Standing Up for Myself".

How can I possibly improve on that besides web definitions? One I like: "a quality of spirit that enables you to face danger or pain without showing fear", as it allows for the actual feeling of fear, just stating what you do with it afterwords.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Words for the Day for Thursday, January 8, 2009

The Words for Today are Strength and Empowerment.

First, I asked you, as if expecting an answer. :-) Then, I put forth some definitions, but flat out refused to provide you with the web links. How very rude of me...

This time, I provide web links for both Strength and Empowerment.

I can not stress how important it is for you to find both of these for yourself!

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Word for the Day for Wednesday, January 7, 2009

The Word for Today is Competence.

A comedy of errors, it seems. First time through, I missed the day completely, and the second time through,it was the Peter Principle.

The web has its own ideas about this word, including, "the quality of being adequately or well qualified physically and intellectually". (Hmmm... Doesn't include emotionally).

Do you feel competent?

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Word for the Day for Tuesday, January 6, 2009

The Word for Today is Endurance.

First, the economic meltdown. Then, seven weeks later, we are still enduring this economic meltdown.

So here we are, a triple Warrior Transit (month, week and day), and what is going on? Still, this economic meltdown! How much endurance does this country need?

Keep a sense of humor, folks. That's all we got left!
