Word for the Day: Monday, February 28, 2011

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.

To tie this to Cooperation (our Theme), marriage sounds a lot like "cooperative fertility". And collaborating on, say, a book, sounds a lot like Cooperative Fertile Ideas.

I like our theme this week!

Sunday, February 27, 2011

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 27, 2011

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.

What better foundation, than Stability, to be able to cooperate with others?

My personal philosophy is, "Ken Parker is Calm, Relaxed and Neutral". That is, of course, easier in a stable environment. But I find an inner stability, such that I was able to function effectively in a dream two nights ago, where I was one of many "angels", helping a planet, who's sun was about to go Supernova. (Most of the planet was already evacuated, but these were the last, the strongest, and basically calm and stoic about having to deal with death. It was actually quite a pleasant assignment! And the Nova itself was spectacular! To bad I couldn't bring back any pictures, but it was only my consciousness that survived, and I awoke in my bed, here in Seattle).

Weekly Theme: Week of 2/27 to 3/05/2011

The Theme for this Week is Cooperation.

I like this theme better than last week's (Circulation), as it's easier to be concrete about Cooperation. I wish to contrast it with Competition, a Young Soul concept, currently popular with the United States Republican party.

Let's see how this concept plays out with the Words for each day.

Saturday, February 26, 2011

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 26, 2011

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.

Release the circulation? Circulate the release? Some times, the word and theme don't match well.

Friday, February 25, 2011

Word for the Day: Friday, February 25, 2011

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.

Some of these words appear tie in better to the theme (in this case, Circulation) than others do. What? Aspire to effectively circulate?

What I do suggest is to aspire to be the best you can be.

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 24, 2011

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.

So how does Contrast interface with Circulation (our theme)? Well, with blood circulation, high blood pressure sounds like high contrast (and unhealthy). Low blood pressure sounds like low contrast (and can also be unhealthy). The best is a happy medium, otherwise known as being in balance.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 23, 2011

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.

How does this word tie to Circulation (our theme)? Let's see. Certainly, allowing blood circulation to occur in a healthy manner can help one be flexible, as I've heard of correspondences between hardening of the arteries and hardening of the opinions.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Words for the Day: Tuesday, February 22, 2011

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.

These two traits can certainly make circulation easier and more elegant. To anyone wanting to develop them, I recommend yoga.

Monday, February 21, 2011

Word for the Day: Monday, February 21, 2011

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.

An example of how this word ties to Circulation (our theme): "To accelerate the circulation of this important and popular book, this library will only allow it to be borrowed for a week at a time".

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Words for the Day: Sunday, February 20, 2011

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.

If we are to circulate ideas, why not patiently? And if we let others circulate ideas, why not tolerate them?

Weekly Theme: Week of February 20-26, 2011

The Theme for this Week is Circulation.

So what, exactly does Circulation mean? Well, blood circulates. Books at libraries circulate. My feeling is that this is about not sitting on ideas, but letting them circulate also.

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 19, 2011

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.

It is always good to acknowledge those who help you in your life. In fact, I find it appropriate to celebrate, and invite the main people you are acknowledging (or at least those you still are in contact with) to that celebration.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Word for the Day: Friday, February 18, 2011

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.

When celebrating (the Theme), I suggest kindness towards your fellow celebrants, especially if alcoholic beverages are being consumed.

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 17, 2011

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.

I'm feeling encouraged enough to maybe do a bit of celebrating today. Last night, I caught the Republicans going a bit too far in their Budget Cuts, in a rather hilarious way.

I hope your day's going well. In fact, I encourage you to have a great day.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 16, 2011

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.

A little of this, spread evenly, goes a long way towards a better world. And a better world would definitely be a thing to celebrate.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 15, 2011

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.

There is a concept in the Michael Teachings called a Support Circle. There are 12 parts to it (13, counting yourself). This is part of a concept called Interdependence, where we all need each other.

Finding your own Support Circle would be grounds for a celebration.

Monday, February 14, 2011

Word for the Day: Monday, February 14, 2011

The Word for Today is Comfort.

When you stand in front of a mirror, are you comfortable with what you see? If so, that is worth a celebration.

Also, happy Valentines Day.

Sunday, February 13, 2011

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 13, 2011

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.

This word goes together frequently with celebration (the theme), as they often include food. Now, whether the food is nourishing is another thing entirely.

Weekly Theme: Week of February 13-19, 2011

The Theme for this Week is Celebration.

People generally celebrate when things appear to go their way. What we don't know at times, however, is that things are not always what they seem to be. For example, sometimes the best opportunities can look more like challenges at first, and extreme challenges can appear great at first.

Be careful, but also have fun.

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 12, 2011

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.

To tie this to Revelation (the theme) is as simple as describing a prosperity of truths and ideas to be revealed.

Have a prosperous day.

Friday, February 11, 2011

Word for the Day: Friday, February 11, 2011

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.

Right off, a revelation that the people of Egypt felt liberated from a 30 year Police State.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 10, 2011

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.

This ties to our theme quite well, as there is nothing better to reveal than wisdom. Also, paying attention to honest revelation can help you be wiser.

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 9, 2011

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.

I see at least two relationships between this word and Revelation (the theme). One is, of course, "impartial revelation". I am not even sure what that would sound like. The other is "impartial living", which could provide the ability to be a clear channel for pure revelation.

I'm still looking for impartial news. It is hard to find these days.

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 8, 2011

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.

As far as our theme goes, revelation itself can have consequences, if you reveal what people do not want to know.

Be careful what you say or do. It is all meaningful.

Monday, February 7, 2011

Word for the Day: Monday, February 7, 2011

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.

What this does NOT mean, in my opinion, is eliminating revelation itself. Instead, it would be better to eliminate what stands in the way of revelation.

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 6, 2011

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.

To tie this to our theme, I guess being self-reliant makes you better able to reveal what you know.

Weekly Theme: Week of February 6-12, 2011

The Theme for this Week is Revelation.

The funny thing is that this word has a simple meaning: the act of revealing or disclosing. For some reason, it's picked up a connotation of disclosing heavenly secrets.

My take is that this is a week where you may have an urge to reveal something to others.

Saturday, February 5, 2011

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 5, 2011

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.

As far as philosophies go, spiritual expansion has a lot of advantages. However, eating too much, expanding your body in the process, is something to watch out for.

Friday, February 4, 2011

Words for the Day: Friday, February 4, 2011

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.

As far as Philosophy goes (the theme), it is good to have faith in your personal philosophy, especially if it was developed from personal life experience, and as long as the faith isn't blind. Well placed trust in those around you (where the trust is in degrees, modified by behavior) has a place in this life experience. And remember that this trust must be earned, never demanded.

Thursday, February 3, 2011

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 3, 2011

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.

As far as philosophies go (the theme), Gratitude is one of the best. In fact, I suggest finding somebody to thank today.

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 2, 2011

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.

There are two philosophical takes on equality. The one I like is equal opportunity for all. One I'm not so sure of is an outer appearance of equality, via forced conformity. The worst of this is noted in the book, 1984, by George Orwell, with thought crimes, if your thoughts aren't "equal" to the accepted thought patterns.

You can have diversity with equal opportunity.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 1, 2011

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.

This is a pretty good philosophy to have, as it is very practical. But don't go overboard, as "nobody likes a prude". :-)
