Word for the Day: Thursday, December 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  There are different types of Partnerships.   Some tend to be Social such as, for example, ones caused by Marriage.   Business Partnerships may not be Social  (though Partners often meet in Social Locations).  And then, there are Electronic Social Environments, such as Facebook.  Wow!

Wednesday, December 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  Concentrated Partnership?   (Add Water?)  One statement that has helped me:  "You Get what you Concentrate on".  So choose, carefully  *what* you Concentrate on!

Tuesday, December 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.   Acceptable Partnership?  (As opposed to an Unacceptable Partnership, such as a Partnership of Criminals?)   Obviously, conducting yourself in an Acceptable manner is beneficial, so why wouldn't it be considered Common Sense?

Monday, December 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, December 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  A Generous Partnership?  (The best kind!)  But Generosity stands on its own also, as it helps the World go around.

Sunday, December 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  Share your Partner?  (Don't laugh!   Some people do things like this).  But, as a Partnership  (i.e. a Married Couple),  sharing who you are, or what you do with those around you, is a different situation, and makes more sense.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 27, 2020 to January 2, 2021

The Theme for this Week is Partnership.   So where do I begin?   Google?  Once again, it uses part of it's word in its definition: "the state of being a partner or partners".  How about if I  "define Partner"?  Essentially, a couple of variations on  "pair of people" or  "couple"  (either Married or not).  And it gets more complex, in Business Settings.   Let's see how this develops, during this Week.

Saturday, December 26, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, December 26, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  Together, these make up the "Big Picture View",  which is important in Educational Environments.  It's also important in Life itself, in my opinion.

Friday, December 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, December 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  This can, either be what you see in a Mirror, or a deep form of Review (for example:  "Please Reflect on what you just did").  They can even go together, as you Reflect on your Reflection in a Mirror.  Go figure!

Thursday, December 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  And this is  *definitely* a big part of an Educational Situation.  The Guidance is to Study Well, and Mentors will drill that into you.   But did you know that Study is, both a Noun and a Verb?   (Example:  "I will Study in my Study").  And it's thing like this that puts the Fun into School.

Wednesday, December 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.   Absorbing everything in your environment?   An interesting concept.  Also, potentially dangerous if anything in that environment is, for example poisonous.  Babies do this, and sometimes end up in an Emergency Room as a result.  The problem?   It's hard to perceive what's around you.

Tuesday, December 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  And, in an Educational Environment, Review is  *quite*  important, even to the point of helping you to pass a class!   But there are other types of Review also, everything from Reviewing a Shopping List to see if you missed anything, to Life Review, where you examine how well your Life went.  And, of course, lots in-between.

Monday, December 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, December 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Experimentation in an Educational Context?  (Oh yes, I most certainly remember the Experiments I did in my High School Chemistry Class).  But keep in mind that all of  *life*  includes Experimentation.  We try things out, often successfully, but often not so much.  And then, we improve our technique and try again.   The Cycle of life.

Sunday, December 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  And I, most  *definitely* Recognize the Guides and Mentors that helped me to live my Life.   And there have been lots of them, some not  "Recognized", at first.

Words for the Day: December 20-26, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Guidance and Mentor. Do Mentors give Guidance? [or] Do Guides Mentor you? Both! Now, I *like* Google's definition of Guadance: "advice or information aimed at resolving a problem or difficulty, especially as given by someone in authority". (And obviously, that "someone in authority" might be a Mentor). Google has something to say about Mentor also: "an experienced and trusted adviser". These two Themes obviously go together well.

Saturday, December 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.  Do we keep our Resolve in Domestic Situations?  Are people more likely to make Resolutions if they are in Families  (one of the most common Domestic Situations I know of)?  A special day is coming up soon, New Years Day, where people often make New Years Resolutions.  But keep in mind that Resolutions can be made at any time.

Friday, December 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, December 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Are you Courageous in Domestic Situations?  Really?   Let's look at this closer.  There are very common situations that come up:  A Parent with a Child.  A Married Couple.  Two Parents with one or more Children.  And Siblings of the Parents can make these Relationships even more complex.  As long as things are Harmonious, requirements for Courage may be low.  But when people stop getting along with each other, that's when Today's Word can become extremely important.

Thursday, December 17, 2020

Words for the Day: Thursday, December 17, 2020

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you know your own Strength?  Do you feel Empowered?   Even in Domestic Situations?   They are, definitely places where Strength and Empowerment would come in handy, for sure!  Enough said.

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.   Competent to live, Domestically?   (Being an Incompetent Parent can be seriously difficult for the child or children).   Competence begins, even earlier in Life, of course, with the requirement being, that you be Competent to be Yourself.

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.   Enduring Domestic situations?   (And yes, some of them can be difficult).  But, when things seem  "never ending", say the following:  "This, too, will pass".  And (at least usually), it will!

Monday, December 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, December 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  Domestic Fertility?  ("Fertile Actions" typically occur in Homes).  But remember that there are other Connotations to Fertility.   For example, you can have a Fertile Imagination.  (And some Awesome Books have been written, with the help of that trait).

Sunday, December 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.  A Stable Domestic environment?  (The best kind, in my opinion).   Unfortunately, Stability is something that might be challenging to find these days.   But that doesn't mean we can't still look for it.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 13-19, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Domestication.  So how does Google define Domestic?  "Relating to the running of a home or to family relations".  Also, in Politics, it has to do with local Politics, verses Foreign Policy.  Let's see how this goes with this Week's Words.

Saturday, December 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.  If you ever feel Stuck, examine closely, the Scenery around you.  There should be something there, that reminds you of a Release Lever, which can be used to Liberate you from being Stuck.   This even helps others, because being of Service is easier, when you are Free.

Friday, December 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, December 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.  "A Healthy Aspiration"?  [or]   Aspiring to be Healthy?   (I like the second one better, but both are good).   Please note that this Word has many Medical Connotations to it, but I prefer the simple,  "I Aspire to be my Personal Best".

Thursday, December 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.  Contrast in Health?   (There  *are*  Medical definitions!)  But, in general, it is good to find Balance with this trait, as too little Contrast can seem Boring, while too  *much*  Contrast can get, downright Scary.

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  This is a Healthy Trait, related to (but not identical to) Flexibility.  For example, if I'm going exclusively for Flexibility, I'd want to be able to touch the floor with my fingers, without bending my knees.  No can do.  But I Adapt well to the Circumstances around me, which I believe is more important than a Calisthenic Move.

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Words for the Day: Tuesday, December 8, 2020

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.  Healthy Agility?   Graceful Health?   (Hmmm...)   Unlike yesterday, these two don't necessarily imply speed.  In fact, there is one Activity that I have recommended before:   Walking a Labyrinth.  (There is a site, labyrinthlocator.com, that helps you find them, perhaps in your local area).  But walking a labyrinth is slow, but uses both of today's Words.

Monday, December 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, December 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.  Accelerated Health?   [or]   Healthy Acceleration?   Okay. on the Second one, we can see the results of Unhealthy Acceleration, where a Motor Vehicle is excessively Accelerated:  This is where you get Vehicle Collisions, which can be  *very*  unhealthy!  But Accelerated Spirituality can be  *quite*  Healthy.

Sunday, December 6, 2020

Words for the Day: Sunday, December 6, 2020

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.  Surprisingly, these both help with Health.  Patience, because we are not as likely to Rush through life, being Accident Prone.  Also, it helps to be Tolerant of Bodily Sensations, such that we allow them to, often "fade away naturally", rather than force themselves into some Illness or other.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 6-12, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Health.  What does it mean to be Healthy?  Is it enough to be  "free from illness or injury"?  Google thinks so.   I believe there is more to it than that, however.  Let's see if the Words for this Week help to add insight.

Saturday, December 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.  And yes, it's important to Acknowledge those, who provide Service in this World.   In a way, the Acknowledgement itself  *is*  a Service.  And remember, that it takes Knowledge to Acknowledge.

Friday, December 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, December 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.  Is being Kind a Service?  Absolutely!   Since Kindness helps the World go around, the more, the better.  And it can be a simple thing:  A genuine compliment about another person's Clothing.  And don't forget to be Kind to people, who are providing necessary Services.

Thursday, December 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.  Service of Encouragement?   [or]   Encouraging Service?  (Both work, but I like the Second one better).  Be Selective on who you Encourage, and remember that it takes Courage to EnCourage!

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.   Service of Thoughtfulness?   [or]  Thoughtful Service?  (Both?)  Thoughtfulness is, basically being Full of Thought.  I've also heard of something Related, called Mindfulness.   But the idea is, to think before you speak or act.  Fair enough?

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  Service and Support, are so closely aligned with each other as to be two sides of one Dice (so to speak).  By the way, a technical note:  My Composition of these Daily Words occur on Facebook first, and then are Copied and Pasted to this Blogspot.  A Funny thing about Facebook is that, when I post its entry,  Facebook will, often hound me to put a  "Donate" Button on  My Facebook Timeline.  I refuse, because I will not be the agent of any Advertising on Facebook or, for that matter, on this Blog.  (I can't vouch for Facebook itself, who is likely to put Generic Ads on any pages, including my Timeline).

Monday, November 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, November 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.   The Service of providing Comfort?   Actually, that's a pretty awesome Service to provide!   And there are many different ways to do it, from providing comfortable Chairs to sit on in, say, a Waiting Room.   Also, providing Comfortable Hotel Rooms for people, who might be  *very*  tired.  And the list goes on.

Sunday, November 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  And what better Service to provide, than a Nourishing (and, hopefully Delicious) meal?   And, to borrow from last Thursday, it can be something to be Thankful for.

Weekly Theme: Week of 11/29 to 12/05.2020

The Theme for this Week is Service.  There is more than one Definition of this Word.  For example,  "In economics, a service is a transaction in which no physical goods are transferred from the seller to the buyer".   For instance, you pay Money for a Haircut, where you, actually "lose" part of yourself.
Let's see how this works, with the Words for this Week.

Saturday, November 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Complete Prosperity?   (I don't see why not!)  If you can become Prosperous by Completing Projects, then why, indeed, are you not Completely Prosperous?  The World will never know!

Word for the Day: Friday, November 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation?  Liberation from Completing anything?  (Please no!)  But Freedom from, what stands in the Way of Completing Projects is something completely different.   I can heartily recommend this!

Thursday, November 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  Wise Completion?   [or]  Complete Wisdom?   (I'll take the second one, please).  Wisdom is, of course, a good thing to develop and maintain.   And have fun doing it.

Wednesday, November 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  Impartial Completion?   [or]   Complete Impartiality?  (Second one sounds good but, most likely, is near impossible to find).  Please note: The place where people are most likely to discuss Impartiality (our News Industry) is a place, least likely to achieve it.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Are there Consequences to Completing things?  (Sure!)   But I propose that  *refusing*  to Complete what you start might have, even worse Consequences.   Like a Computer Project, for example.  Is it ever Complete?   But it's often worse to Abandon it, midstream.

Monday, November 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, November 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.   Elimination of Completion?  (I don't like the concept, but there are 102 million hits on Google).  [or]  Complete Elimination?   (Sounds slightly better.  And there are 128 million hits on Google).  But when I think of Elimination, I am frequently reminded of the Clutter in my Apartment that needs to be Eliminated.

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  If you are Self-Reliant, are you more likely to Complete things?   Not sure they fit together that closely.   For one thing, I would think Self-Reliance would fit closer with Initiating Projects because, often, other people are involved with the Project before they get completed.

Weekly Theme: Week of November 22-28, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Completion.  What does Google say about Completion:  "the action or process of finishing something".  So this makes it the Opposite of Initiation?   How about a Thought Experiment?  Think about all the Projects you've been involved with.  How many of them did you Initiate?   Okay. Now how many of them did you Complete?  If you are like me, not many!  So let's explore this Theme.

Saturday, November 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.   My Vision of Expansion is mixed.   Visions of Spiritual (or even Intellectual) Expansion are, quite welcome.   But Visions of what Expansion of my Body (especially the Middle) looks like, due to eating excessive, delicious items is MUCH less Welcome.  Be careful!

Friday, November 20, 2020

Words for the Day: Friday, November 20, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  To Trust our Vision of Faith?  ("Vision of Faith"  has 365 Million Hits on Google, many of them Theological).   But be careful.  For Faith should not be Blind.  (Keep your Eyes Open.   Be aware of your surroundings).  And Trust, especially in Human Beings   MUST  BE  EARNED!  Especially now!

Thursday, November 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  Vision of Gratitude?  [or]  A Grateful Vision?  (Definitely not the same!)  But Gratitude is awesome on its own, because it helps the World go around.  And, at least in the United States, we are a week away from a Holiday called Thanksgiving.  That's awesome also!

Wednesday, November 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.   I have two Visions of Equality.  I like the one with Equal Opportunity for All.  However, I am not so happy with the Vision of Forced Conformity, for an Artificial Version of "Equality".  One is, in my opinion, free, but the other, not so much.

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.   Vision of Prudence?   [or]  A Prudent Vision?   (Similar, but not the same!)  Remember that Prudence is mainly about Practicality.  But is it Practical to become a Prude?

Monday, November 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, November 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.   A Vision of Innocence?  (Probably better than  "A Vision of Guilt".   But wait:   Vision of Innocence has 63.8 million hits on Google, whereas Vision of Guilt has 174 million hits.  What does  *that*  tell us?)  But when I am thinking of a Vision of Innocence, I think of the Innocence of Children.  That makes this worth it.

Sunday, November 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.   "Forgive my Vision"?  Now, I guess someone might say that, after bumping into something expensive, breaking it.   But usually, I would not think of the need to ask forgiveness for my Vision of the Universe.   Your experiences may, of course, be different from mine!

Weekly Theme: Week of November 15-21, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Vision.   So, looking at Google, I see two meanings.   First, the obvious:  "the faculty or state of being able to see".   But then, something more interesting:  "the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom".   So, I put it to you:  What is  *your* Vision of Life?

Saturday, November 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, November 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.   An Authentic Union?   (Look for the Certificate of Authenticity, such as what you get with those Plates).  A better question, is "Are you Authentic?"  For what is important, is to Be Authentic to Yourself.

Friday, November 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, November 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  Interpreting a Union?  How about being an Interpreter for the people IN a Union?   Even the most common Connotation of Interpret might be the case, if people in the Union speak different Languages.   But look closer at the word "Interpret", as it has multiple meanings.

Thursday, November 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.   A Social Union?  (Better than an Anti-Social Union!)   Socialization is known, mainly now by its Electronic versions, such as Facebook and Twitter.  However, don't forget the importance of another type of Socialization, where you meet In Person.

Wednesday, November 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.   "A Concentrated Union"?   (Find out what kind by putting it in Water?)   But actually, there is another usage of Concentration that I like better:  "You Get what You Concentrate On".   And this is true on both sides, whether you are Concentrating from desire, or Concentrating from fear.  And the Results occur either way.

Tuesday, November 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.   So what does it mean to have an Acceptable Union?  Perhaps it's easier to understand, if we look at an example of an Unacceptable Union:  Partners in Crime.   (It's the "Crime" part that makes it Unacceptable).  So I would consider a Marriage to be an example of an Acceptable Union.  In other words, the Purpose of the Union makes the difference.

Word for the Day: Monday, November 9, 2020

The Word for Yesterday (Monday) was Generosity.  A Generous Union?  (The Best Kind!)   But Generosity is Awesome on its own, even to the point of helping the World go around.  And don't forget to be Generous to yourself also!

Sunday, November 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  Sharing your Union?   (Depends).   Some forms of Unions invite Sharing, such as Marriages.   Not so sure of some others:  Trade Unions?  Political Lobbies?  Hmmm...

Weekly Theme: Week of November 8-14, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Union. Union? Coming Together? Combining? Some forms of Union are well known, such as Marriage. You can have a Labor Union where you work. A Merger is two Companies coming together to make one. You get the picture.

Saturday, November 7, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, November 7, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  Integrating your Perspective with an Overview?  (Better than nothing).  Overview and Perspective, together give you the Big Picture View, or the Executive Summary of whatever Topic is popular in that moment.  This often helps.

Friday, November 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, November 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  Either what you see in a mirror, or a deep form of Review.  So which  "version" of this Word works best with Integration?   Integrating all those Reflections in the many Mirrors I like to have in my Bathrooms?  Integrating those Deep Reviews I do periodically?  Both!

Thursday, November 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, November 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.   "I plan to Study in my Study".  (Yup!)   How about "Integrated Study"?   (728 Million Hits on Google.   You can even Major in it!)  One suggestion:  Be selective on what you Study, since there are so many topics out there.   Otherwise, you could get overwhelmed.

Wednesday, November 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, November 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.   An Absorbing Review?   (Hmmm...)  But Absorption is a good way to learn, especially languages other than your first.  This is the method where, the only language spoken during the class will be the language being learned.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2020

The Word for Yesterday (Tuesday) was Review.  Integrated Review?  (It has a Wikipedia Page).   There was another, important type of Review on Tuesday:   Review of an Election (at least in the USA).  Reviews can be big  (i.e. Life Review) or small  (i.e. review of your Shopping, to see if you missed anything).   And, of course, lots in-between.

Monday, November 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, November 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Integrated Experimentation?  (Hey!  59 million hits on Google!)  And yes,  Experiments in integrating Social Services seem to have worked.   And keep in mind that Life itself can be approached in an Experimental manner.  Couldn't that be fun?

Sunday, November 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, November 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  Recognizing how Integration can help this Country?  (Yes, it fits).  Recognition goes past our Theme, of course, as we Recognize (or fail to Recognize) each other, as we see each other through the years.

Weekly Theme: Week of November 1-7, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Integration.  What does Google say about this?  To Integrate is to  "combine (one thing) with another so that they become a whole".   Let's see:  To Integrate a School was to  "combine one Race with another so that they became a whole"?  I guess it fits.  Now, I guess we will see how this "Combines" with our Daily Words.

Saturday, October 31, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.  "I Resolve to Survive".   (Okay!)  Of course, my favorite is,  "I Resolve to not lose my Resolve".  An important part of this Word is a variation, Resolution.  And please note that Resolutions can be made anytime, not just during the New Year.

Friday, October 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, October 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  The Courage to Survive?   (In adverse conditions, Yes!)  How about the Courage to be Yourself, regardless of what other people think?   Courage is definitely something to develop and maintain.

Thursday, October 29, 2020

Words for the Day: Thursday, October 29, 2020

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.   Do you know your own Strength to Survive?  Do you feel Empowered to Stay Alive?   (I hope that the answers to both of those are "Yes").   Strength and Empowerment, of course, go by themselves also, but their connection to our Theme is marked.

Wednesday, October 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.   Are you Competent to Survive?  (Most of us are).  But Survival isn't all there is to life.   We want to Thrive.  In other words, Grow into something Meaningful.  And that is where Competence comes in.

Tuesday, October 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.  Where do I begin?  2020 is, quite a Chunk to Endure!  But, like everything, it, too, will pass.  And, yes, there are non-obvious ways to assist with Endurance such as, my favorite, Yoga.

Monday, October 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, October 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  Survival of the Fertile?  (Indeed: Fertility helps us Survive).   One thing to remember here:  There are multiple meanings and connotations to the word, Fertility.  For example, you can have a Fertile Imagination.   (Makes it easier to write books).

Sunday, October 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.   It is, of course, easier to survive in a state of Stability, than in a state of Chaos.   But, occasionally, Chaos may be more fun.  Think about it:  Is Survival the only thing in life?

Weekly Theme: Week of October 25-31, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Survival.  Survive?   "Continue to Live or Exist"?   There is more to being than Survival, but it has to be a good beginning.

Saturday, October 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.   Release from Manifestation?   (Probably not).  But Manifestation of Release, from the (figurative) Boxes that you Trap yourself into, during your Life is a different story.  That's something to look for, especially when you  *feel* Stuck.

Friday, October 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, October 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.   I Aspire to be the Best that I can.   That's all I can do, and Manifestation occurs, whether we plan it or not.   The Details of that Manifestation is, of course, another story.

Thursday, October 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.  Manifesting Contrast in your Life?   Just be Selective, because too little Contrast can seem Boring, yet too MUCH Contrast can get, downright Scary.  Balance is the key.

Wednesday, October 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  Manifesting Adaptability?   Adaptable Manifestation?   (Both?)   I consider Flexibility to be a Synonym of Adaptability.  And they go together, since the Flexible Person Adapts to his/her Surroundings, yet the Inflexible Person asks his/her Surroundings to Adapt to him/her.

Tuesday, October 20, 2020

Words for the Day: Tuesday, October 20, 2020

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.   An Agile Manifestation of Grace?  (Yes, a bit clumsy).  Note that, unlike Yesterday, these Words do not imply speed.   Beauty, perhaps.   Like, for example, watching an Ice Skating Competition.  The person who wins, often isn't the fastest.  So how does this apply to our Lives?   Feel free to comment.

Monday, October 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, October 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.   Accelerated Manifestation?   (It happens).   The funny thing:   Often, Manifestation is Accelerated most, when it comes from Fear, because we often give clues to what we are afraid of  (like, for example, the poor soul that tells his Bar Mates about how his house is unprotected, while he is at the bar.  (And someone overhears that, goes to his place, and robs it).  Be careful.

Sunday, October 18, 2020

Words for the Day: Sunday, October 18, 2020

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.  Both of these are quite helpful.   Patience, because you often don't Manifest much of anything if you get Impatient.  Also, since what arrives may not look exactly like what you  "thought" you were Manifesting, Tolerance is helpful.  Manifest Fun in your life.

Weekly Theme: Week of October 18-24, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Manifestation.  If I ask Google, one thing I get is,  "an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea".  For our purposes, a person  "creates" something, perhaps "magically".  For example,  "Look at him.  He Manifested a Relationship in, just one month".  Now, let's see how this works, with this Week's Words.

Saturday, October 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.  Patronage is a form of Acknowledgement.   Also, we Acknowledge Patrons.   In addition, I Acknowledge those who help me in my lifetime.   Finally, remember that it takes Knowledge to Acknowledge.

Friday, October 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, October 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.   A Kind Patron?   (I hope!)  But Kindness is one of my Favorite Words, because Kindness helps the World go around.  It is, not only something to look for, but something to be.

Thursday, October 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.   Encouragement from Patrons?  Encouraging Patrons?   (Works in both directions).  One thing to consider:  It takes Courage to Encourage.

Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.  Absorbed in Thought?   Thinking, before you Speak or Act?  That would allow you to draw on, what is around you.  The Results?  One Completed Transaction or Project.  This works!

Tuesday, October 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.   And Patronage is a form of Support.   And I guess it can work the other way:  Support the Patrons.   But Support works in other ways also:   Look for your own Support Group.  They are out there to Support you, some Physical and some Spiritual.   Finally, Support having fun!

Monday, October 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, October 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.  A Comfortable Patron?   (The Happiest kind).   Now Comfort is something you have some control over.  Not all, especially if you are visiting somebody else, and have to contend with their choice of Location.   But you can certainly pick the Furniture you will get for your Home.  Also, a tidy place is, usually a more Comfortable place.  And you will be more popular, if you maintain a Comfortable place to visit.

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.   Patron of places that provide Nourishment?  Restaurants, for example?   Well, there are worse places to be a Patron of.  Not a long definition this time.

Sunday, October 11, 2020

Weekly Theme: Week of October 11-17, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Patronage.  Definition of Patron:  "a person who gives financial or other support to a person, organization, cause, or activity".   That's quite a Relationship.  Let's see how this develops, this week.

Saturday, October 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Prosperous Principles?   Ethical Prosperity?  (Both sound good to me).  So what  *is* Ethical Prosperity?   Perhaps the easiest thing would be to look at some Unethical ways to get Prosperous, such as Robbing Banks.  An Ethical way would be a good Career.   In the middle are ways, such as Inheriting the Prosperity.

Friday, October 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, October 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.   Liberation from, actually  *having*  Principles or Ethics?  (Please No!)   But you can Ethically Liberate those, who seem stuck.  If someone asks for help and you know a way out of their box, disclose it!  Off hand at first, and then give the details, which can make this be, even a profitable business endeavor.  But it starts with that first thought.

Thursday, October 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise set of Principles?   A Wise Code of Ethics?   (The Best Kind for Both!)  So how does one develop and maintain Wisdom?  Some mention certain Book Sets, which  DOES help.  Also, certain Seminars and/or Conferences can help.  But don't forget the old standby:   Good old Life Experience.  In my opinion, that counts, perhaps most of all!

Wednesday, October 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, October 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.   An Impartial Code of Ethics?   (Not sure how that would even work!)  In my opinion, Impartiality is hard to achieve, even (maybe especially) in a place where people look for it:  The News Industry.  But one of your Principles can, certainly be to attempt Impartiality in your life.

Tuesday, October 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, October 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.   So, are there Consequences to having your own set of Principles, as well as your own Code of Ethics?  (Of course!)  But I submit that the Consequences are a  *lot*  more Severe, for someone who refuses to take responsibility for their Principles and Ethics.   These people may, for example, turn both of these over to "God",  or some other "Higher Power"  (maybe Political).  But remember that you are the only one who can live your Life.  You must be Responsible in the end.

Monday, October 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, October 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminating Principles and Ethics?  (Please, No!)   But Ethically Eliminating what doesn't work in your Life could be Quite Beneficial.   Sounds like it's time for me to clean my Apartment!

Sunday, October 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, October 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.   Self-Reliant Principles and Ethics?   (Sure!)  Now Self-Reliance is good, but remember that we are  *not* alone!  Keep other people in mind.

Weekly Themes: Week of October 4-10, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Principles and Ethics.   Do you have your own Code of Ethics?  Or do you  "borrow" one, say, from the Bible?  Some people suggest that the second way is the only way to go.   But think about this:  Your life is yours to live, and you are, fully in charge.   An alternative way to look at this:  If something goes wrong, who is considered Responsible?  So take charge of your Life.

Saturday, October 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, October 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  Now I am somewhat selective about this Word.  For example, Spiritual Expansion can be Awesome.   But Expansion around the Middle, due to an overdose of  "delicious food" has side effects.  Be Careful!

Friday, October 2, 2020

Words for the Day: Friday, October 2, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.   Salvaging Trust, so that we can have Faith in our Salvation?   (I Tried!)  But, when  "ordinary Humans"  are involved, be careful, because Trust must be Earned, and Faith should not be Blind.

Thursday, October 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, October 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  Salvaging Gratitude?   (Please!)   [or]   Gratitude for Salvation?  (Yes!)   But Gratitude works well, on it's own, because it Helps the World go around.  So what are  *you*  Grateful for, today?

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.   Salvaging Equality?   [or]   Equal Opportunity Salvation?   (Both?)   But the second one brings up a point:  Equal Opportunity, in my opinion is the  "Good Kind"  of Equality, as opposed to  "Forced Conformity"  which, though often found, is  *not*  Helpful.

Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.   A Prudent Salvation?  (Likely the Best Kind!)  Now remember that Prudence is, quite literally about being Practical.  (Quite literally, "wise or judicious in practical affairs").  But don't go overboard and  "become a Prude".

Monday, September 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, September 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.   Salvage Innocence?   Innocent Salvation?   Of course, lots of people are doing what they can  (often in Courtrooms)  to Salvage their Innocence.  I can only wish them well.

Sunday, September 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  Forgive Salvation?  [or]   Salvage Forgiveness?   Oh well, let's just Forgive my attempt at breaking this down!

Weekly Themes: Week of September 27 to October 3, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Salvage and Salvation.   They're both related to "Save".   So what's the difference?  You can Salvage Objects such as, for example, Ships.  But Salvation seems more Personal.   In fact, most definitions of Salvation include Religious Contexts.

Saturday, September 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.   A "Certificate of Authenticity" for our Addiction?  (THAT  I'd like to see!)  But Feel Free to be Authentic to Yourself.  That might, even take away the  NEED  for Addictions.

Friday, September 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, September 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  So how  *would*  one Interpret something like Addiction?   Keep in mind, for example, that people can be Addicted, while speaking many Languages.   So that's not it.  I guess we need to find a deeper meaning for Addiction.  Anyone?

Thursday, September 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  And yes, Addictive Behavior can be  *very* Socialized.  (Think Bars, for example).  But people can use Socialization to work together to  *overcome* Addictions also.   It's up to you.

Wednesday, September 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.   Concentrated Addiction?   (Please  *don't* add Water!)  But it *is*  said that we Get what we Concentrate on, so be selective about what you Concentrate on!

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.     An Acceptable Addiction?   (Perhaps not, but you might have one, like multitudes of others).   The best thing to do, about Today's Word is to Be Acceptable to yourself.

Monday, September 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, September 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  So what does it mean to be Generous to someone, challenged by an Addiction?   In my opinion, this does  *not*  mean to supply the person with, what he/she is Addicted to.  But Sharing other things, such as Nourishing Food, as well as pointers for eliminating the Addiction can help.

Sunday, September 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  Share your Addiction?  Not sure I agree with THAT!  But Sharing ideas for overcoming Addiction is a different idea, which I am heartily for.

Weekly Theme: Week of September 20-26, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Addiction.  So what does Google say about Addiction?  "compulsive physiological need for and use of a habit-forming substance".  I will modify this to add that there are Psychological Addictions also.  But either way, this isn't a good way to run a Lifetime!  Therefore, I read this Theme to imply ways to overcome these Addictions.

Saturday, September 19, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, September 19, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  And what could be simpler, than to get the Big Picture View of what you are involved with?   I mean, Really?

Friday, September 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, September 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.   Reflecting Simplicity?   [or]  A Simple Reflection?  (They both make sense).   But remember that we, Quite Simply Reflect Each Other.  So when you see something you don't like in another person, look within to, perhaps find the same trait inside yourself!

Thursday, September 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  "I will Study, in my Study"?  (Simple, isn't it?)   But be Selective in what you Study, because there are Multitudes of Subjects that can be, for example, used as a Major or Minor in a University.   For example, pick a Topic that you are comfortable living with, for the rest of your Life.

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  Absorbing Simplicity?   [or]   Simple Absorption?   (Both?  Neither?)  One place where Absorption works well is Language Immersion Classes, where the only Language being spoken is the one being taught.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  A Simple Review?  (Probably better than a Complicated Review).   An important thing to know about Reviews is, how many types there are, some big and some small.  An example of a small one is to Review your Shopping Trip to see if you missed anything.  A very large one?   Life Review at the end of a Lifetime.  And then, of course, there are lots of variations in-between.

Monday, September 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, September 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  A Simple Experiment?  (I wish I had more of those in High School Chemistry!)  One thing that I have found:   All of Life appears to be an Experiment.   And some parts of this are Simple, yet other parts are Complex.   Just try to have Fun while doing this.

Sunday, September 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.   Recognizing Simplicity when you see it is a Skill, that is good to learn.  The funny thing, is that learning this Skill may be Complex.

Weekly Theme: Week of September 13-19, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Simplification.  Life is Complex these days.  This is a view, quite widely held.  And, when this situation causes trouble, one answer is, of course, Simplification.  Complexity is, of course a Scale, with "Very Simple" on one end and, of course, "Extremely Complicated" on the other.  Find out where you fit on this Scale.

Saturday, September 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.   I Resolve to not Sacrifice my Resolve.  (Oh well...)  But one thing to remember:   Resolutions can be made any time of the Year, not just New Years Day.

Friday, September 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, September 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Sacrificing Courage?   (Please, no!)  [or]   The Courage to Sacrifice?  (Sounds  *much*  better!)  And, indeed, the question about whether to Sacrifice something comes up periodically.  Some of those things may be easy to get rid of, but other things, that we might cherish, would take Courage to Sacrifice anyway.  But remember that the Choice is the important part.

Thursday, September 10, 2020

Words for the Day: Thursday, September 10, 2020

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you know your own Strength?  Do you feel Empowered?   Don't Sacrifice these:   They are both VERY Important!  Indeed, from a Strong and Empowered state, you are in a good spot to Sacrifice other things in your Life.   But don't sacrifice Fun!

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.  Sacrificing Competence?  [or]   Competent Sacrifice?  (The Second one is, at least a little better).  A few decades ago, I read, what I consider an excellent Book on this Subject,  "The Peter Principle",  by Lawrence J. Peter, which provides an interesting proposition:  People in, at least Office Jobs tend to get Promoted, until they are "one step" beyond their level of Competence.  Interesting idea.

Tuesday, September 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.  Enduring Sacrifice?   [or]   Sacrificing Endurance?   (I don't like the sound of  *either*  of those!)  To people who don't like some of these Words and/or Themes (which occasionally includes me), I can only say that we are  *not*  "expected"  to, actually  "do"  or  "be"  these Words.   It's enough to, simply look for them in the World around you like, for example, on the News.

Monday, September 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, September 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  So are we supposed to Sacrifice our Fertility?   (Some think so:  10.5 Million Google hits, some of them gross).  But I would like to remind you that there are other types of Fertility, such as a "Fertile Imagination".  With this, you can write Books.

Sunday, September 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, September 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.  Sacrifice Stability?   (Only if I get something better, such as an awesome Adventure).   On the other hand, a Stable Environment gives possibilities of Sacrificing things that were, possibly getting in the way of our lives anyway.   Just something to think about.

Weekly Theme: Week of September 6-12, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Sacrifice.  Interesting:  When I asked Google for a Definition, I got the Biblical ones!  But then, I went deeper and got, "an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy".  I guess we're getting warmer.  I play Chess, and sometimes "Sacrifice" one of my Pieces, when I get something (hopefully better) in return such as, for example a good Attack on the enemy King.  Now, let's see how this Theme goes with this week's Words.

Saturday, September 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.  Release from Prophecy itself?   (Please, no!)  But Release from, what can stand in the way of being a good Prophet?   Yes.   When you are Stuck, look around the Scene you are stuck in:   There might, just be a Release Lever there to free you.

Friday, September 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, September 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.  Aspiring to be the best Prophet?   Sure.   But how about Aspiring to be the Best that you can be, in Life itself?   Be Awesome!

Thursday, September 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, September 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.  Contrast in Prophecy?  (Forecasting the Future can, of course include  *Many*  Contrasts!)  But remember that SOME  Contrast is good, as too Little can seem Boring,  yet too Much can get, downright Scary.

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  An Adaptable Prophet?   (It helps!)  I consider Adaptability to be like Flexibility.  And a funny thing:  The Flexible Person tends to Adapt to their Surroundings.  But the Inflexible Person tends to  "ask"  their Surroundings to Adapt to them!

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Words for the Day: Tuesday, September 1, 2020

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.   "An Agile Prophecy about Grace"?   :-)  Unlike Yesterday, today's Words do  *not*   imply speed.  For example, one Graceful action you can take (and I recommend it, if you can) is to "Walk the Labyrinth" (put in Quotes, to show what to Google.  That is often done  *quite*  slowly.  See if you can find a Labyrinth local to you, or available for Travel). How about Agile Fun?

Monday, August 31, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, August 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.  Accelerated Prophecy?   (Hmmm...  3.3 Million Hits on Google!)   There  *is*  one thing to be careful of, with Acceleration and I've spoken about it before:  Excessive Acceleration of a Motor Vehicle can result in, either a Traffic Ticket or an Accident and so, in my opinion, is not recommended.

Sunday, August 30, 2020

Words for the Day: Sunday, August 30, 2020

The Words for Today are Patience and Tolerance, both of which are strongly needed, if you were to attempt a  "Career"  in Prophecy.  Fortunately, it's not in the Top 10 List of popular Career Choices.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 30 to September 5, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Prophecy.  I am growing annoyed with Google's Definitions:  "the faculty, function, or practice of prophesying".  Seriously, folks, you don't Define a Word with a Derivative of the same Word!  So I tried "Define Prophet", getting a bunch of Religious Definitions.  But when I scrolled down to "Kid's Definition", I finally find, "a person who predicts the future".  (There definitely can be humor in looking these Words and Themes up!)  But there is an issue in this final "Definition":  Only  *One*  Future to Predict?  In the Michael Teachings (which can be Googled), there are plenty of Discussions about the Many Realities we live in.  (For example, we have a choice of what to do:  For example, a choice between two Careers, one local, but another, perhaps with a larger Salary, but several States away.  So, after an agonizing period of time, we choose one of these Careers.  Somewhere in your Psyche, the other Choice is explored).  So we need to be careful, not to Limit the usage of the word, "Prophecy".

Saturday, August 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.   And this goes in two directions:   Acknowledging People with Disabilities  (who, often find Creative ways to express, around the Disabilities),  and also Acknowledging People who  *assist*  those, with Disabilities in Expressing around those Disabilities.   One example would be Screen Readers, which verbally read, what is written on a screen.  Likewise, an Application that listens to what's around you and Prints it on the Screen.

Friday, August 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, August 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.  And, of course, be Kind to everyone, not just people challenged with Disabilities.   And, note that this includes being Kind to yourself!

Thursday, August 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.  I used to hear,  "Encourage that which is Good".  It seems obvious, but actually makes sense.   In other words, Encourage that, which you want to live with, long term.

Wednesday, August 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.  Thoughtful?   Full of Thought?  Definitely be that way with those around you, who are Challenged with Disabilities.   But don't stop there, as this is  *always*  a good trait to have.

Tuesday, August 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  And, definitely people, challenged with Disabilities need Support.   But, guess what?  We all do!  And we also get opportunities to Give Support, through our Lives.  Find your Support Group.

Monday, August 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, August 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.  And finding Comfort, when Challenged by a Disability might itself be a Challenge, depending on the Details of the Disability.  But don't stop looking.

Sunday, August 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  And a wonderful Service to provide, for a person with a Disability would be to help him/her with a Nourishing (and hopefully Delicious) Meal.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 23-29, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Disability.  Definition from Wikipedia:  "A disability is any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or interact with the world around them".  One thing missing from this Definition is what a Disability "looks like".  There are so many different types of them, and some people with Disabilities don't look different from the people around them.  Also, a Disability may only affect *part* of a person's Life, with other parts working quite well.  For example, a Deaf person may see Extraordinarily well.

Saturday, August 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Prosperity from Diplomacy?  Yes, as it is a great Career Choice.  It helps a lot of people, and so often is paid well.  Need I say more?

Friday, August 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, August 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  Liberation  *from*  Diplomacy?  (Please, no!)  But well-placed Diplomacy could Liberate a region from, say, a War.  Liberate yourself!

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Diplomat?  (Hope so!)  So, how  *does*  one Develop and Maintain Wisdom?  People often think about specific Books to read and, perhaps, Weekend Seminars to attend.  But something else comes to mind:  Life Experience.  In other words, Wisdom can come, slowly and surely, while you are Living your Life.

Wednesday, August 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  An Impartial Diplomat?  (The Best Kind though,  Sadly hard to find).  The Problem is, that People grow up with Opinions.  And those Opinions, even when they are  "supposed"  to be in the  "background"  do exist.  It is right to Strive for this Trait, but know that it's not an easy one.

Tuesday, August 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Are there Consequences for Diplomacy?  Of Course!  But consider the Alternative:  More Severe Consequences for, when Diplomacy fails.  For example, what are the Consequences of War?

Monday, August 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, August 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminate Diplomacy itself?  (Please don't!)  But careful Diplomacy can help Eliminate some rather unpleasant things, such as Wars.  And who wants War?

Sunday, August 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  A Self-Reliant Diplomat?  (The best kind!)  But always remember that there are Other People around you, whatever your Profession.  Balance is the answer.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 16-22, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Diplomacy.  Diplomacy?  Google:  "the profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations".  But it doesn't end there, because any of us may be required, at any time, to "manage Personal Relations", between those we know.  How successful we are, is another story.

Saturday, August 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  Expanded Dialogue?  (Expanding Communication is usually Helpful).  As mentioned recently  (and I can relate), Physical Expansion around the Middle of the Body, due usually to Excessive, Delicious Snacking can be a Problem.  And, as also stated, Exercise can be an answer, as well as limiting the Snacking.  (Also, sometimes, substituting can be helpful, such as when I switched from Potato Chips to Celery Stalks).  Finally, Expanding your Level of Fun can help.

Friday, August 14, 2020

Words for the Day: Friday, August 14, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  Two people, embarking on a Dialogue, especially if using the "non-verbal"  Intercourse method  *better*  have some sort of Trust between them.  If not, then this situation is likely what is reported as  "some sort of Abuse (all the way from Seductive Behavior, through different levels of Coercion, to the extreme of Rape)".  The key, is how the word  "No"  is handled.

Thursday, August 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  Communication of Gratitude?  (Of Course!)  And Gratitude is Great to Communicate, as it helps the World go around.  Be Grateful!

Wednesday, August 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.  Communication of any kind  (and Connotation) is best, if both sides approach it from an Equal Stance.  And this situation can be understood, often by examining Communication, when it is  *not*  between Equals.  Just look at our News, for example.

Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  Prudent Intercourse?  (I sure  *hope*  so!)  And good Dialogue can be used, to help Intercourse be Prudent.  Note that there is a Degree to Prudence.  For example, you want to have  "enough"  Prudence in your Life.  But not too much:  Don't go Overboard and become a Prude!

Monday, August 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, August 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.  When I queried Google on  "Innocent Intercourse",  I was barraged with a bunch of Court Cases, and other stories about when Intercourse was often  *not*  Innocent.  Obviously, the other side of the Theme must come in, good Communication, to keep things, as Innocent as they can be  (including just saying "No").  Be Innocent.

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  These go together this time, as Intercourse (especially if not Consensual) can require  *much*  more than, simply an Apology.  But good Communication  (i.e. Dialogue)  can be a Step in the direction of Mutual Consent.  So Communicate Well!

Sunday, August 9, 2020

Weekly Themes: Week of August 9-15, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Intercourse and Dialogue.  And, I would suggest that Intercourse (the Connotation that people usually think of) is a "Non-Verbal" form of Dialogue.  You don't need Words (though they frequently help a LOT), but there is, Definitely an "Emotional Dialogue".

But keep in mind that there are other Connotations of Intercourse, such as "Social Intercourse".  And note that Google has 62 Million Hits on this Phrase.

But, however you do it, Communicate well!

Saturday, August 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, August 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.  Authentic Humor?  (Look for the Official Certificate!)  But the most important thing, in my Opinion, is to be Authentic to Yourself.

Friday, August 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, August 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  A Humorous Interpretation?  [or]  Interpreting Humor?  (Both?)  So, if you Interpret Humor, what Language would you Translate it to?  For example, which Language is the funniest?

Thursday, August 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, August 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  Socialized Humor?  (1.7 million hits on Google!)  Yesterday, Concentrated Socialization was brought up, which I find Humorous.  (But how about Concentrated Socialism?  Or Concentrated Capitalism?  I wouldn't want to  "Add Water"  in either case!)

Wednesday, August 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, August 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  Concentrated Humor?  (Indeed:  What  *would*  you get if you add Water?)  But you know what  "they"  say:  "You Get What You Concentrate On".  You can certainly do well, by including Humor in that  "Concentration List".

Tuesday, August 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, August 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.  Acceptable Humor?  Actually, it's easier to describe  "Unacceptable Humor",  an example of which is to deliberately trip someone, laugh, and then say to anybody that complains:  "What's wrong?  You don't have a Sense of Humor?"  Be Acceptable, especially to yourself.

Monday, August 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, August 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  A Generous Sense of Humor?  (The Best Kind!)  But Generosity is Awesome on its own, as it helps the World go around.  And be Humorous, as you are Generous.

Sunday, August 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, August 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  "Sharing your Sense of Humor?"  (Of course!)  And notice, that I Share that, which I never want to Lose.

Weekly Theme: Week of August 2-8, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Humor.  Sense of Humor?  I get the best meaning from, just a Phrase out of what Google says:  "ability to perceive humor".  Because, when someone "tells a Joke", not everyone may see it as such.  But, what I see as, even *more* important, is to see Humor, where it's not intended:  To see Humor in everyday life.

Saturday, August 1, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, August 1, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  The  "Big Picture"  view of Mediation?  (Of course, as long as we don't have to Mediate a Dispute between Overview and Perspective).  One more thing about Mediation:  It makes a good Career Choice.

Friday, July 31, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, July 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  So here, we can Mediate between whether Reflection is a Deep form of Review, or something you see in a Mirror.  You know what?  Both sides are right!  And I recall a Meditation, where I sit in front of a Mirror and Reflect on the Reflection of myself in that Mirror.  I find this a Fascinating Word.

Thursday, July 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  "I will Study, in my Study, to be a Mediator".  [or]  I will Mediate, between Studying and my Study.  Who Wins?  Really?

Wednesday, July 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  Absorbing Mediation?  (Why not?  We Absorb everything else).  But this  *does*  bring up a good question:  Can a Sponge make a good Mediator?  (It  *is*  a funny Picture!)  Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer.

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  Mediated Review?  (110 Million Google Hits!)  But Reviews can have a LOT of reasons:  Review of your Shopping Trip, to see if you missed anything on your Shopping List?  Review of your Day, before you go to sleep at night?  Life Review, before you Die?  As you can see, Reviews can be Big or Small!

Monday, July 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, July 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  And, in an example of a Chemistry Lab Setting say, at a High School, there could be  *many*  situations, where there are disputes over how the Experiment went.  Did the Chemicals combine correctly?  How accurate were the proportions of the Chemicals that were mixed?  You might need a Mediator to sort this all out.

Sunday, July 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  So I Recognize, both people who play the Role of Mediator,  as well as the Situations where Mediation is Required.  Both of these are quite Important.

Weekly Theme: Week of 7/26 to 8/01/2020

The Theme for this Week is Mediation.  Google defines Mediation as "intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it", and lists Arbitration as a Synonym.  This Certainly makes it a good Career Choice, but is it called for in everyday life?  I believe so, as I was frequently required, as a Child, to Mediate in my Parents' frequent Disputes.

Saturday, July 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.   I Resolve to keep my Resolve?   Well, keep in mind that Resolutions can be made Anytime, not just at the New Years.  How about if I Resolve to Cooperate more?

Friday, July 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, July 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Cooperative Courage?   Courage to Cooperate?  (I Vote for the Second One!)   And sometimes, it  *can*  take Courage to Cooperate, especially if you aren't  "on the same Wavelength"  as the other person.  But it doesn't change the importance of Cooperation!

Thursday, July 23, 2020

Words for the Day: Thursday, July 23, 2020

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you know your own Strength to Cooperate?   Do you feel Cooperatively Empowered?   I  *will*  say that freely Cooperating helps all parties of the Cooperation feel Stronger.  Funny how that works.

Wednesday, July 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.  Competent Cooperation?   (Google likes this too!)  But the real question to ask yourself:   "Are you Competent to Be Yourself?"  The Answer may surprise you.

Tuesday, July 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.   Cooperative Endurance?   (Google likes it!)  But one business that, at least used to be common was the Health Club, otherwise known as the Gym.   And, of course, Endurance Training was a part of places like that.  Another tool, to help with Endurance is Yoga.

Monday, July 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, July 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  Cooperative Fertility?   (It  *BETTER*  be Cooperative!)  Even with the alternative Connotations, Cooperation is present.  For example, a Fertile Imagination requires lots of Cooperation, between all the parts of your Mind required to, as an example, take a Dream Scenario and put it on Paper as a Short Story.

Sunday, July 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.   Cooperative Stability?   (Wow!   116 Million Hits!)   I  *will*  say this:  It, at least  *feels*  good to Cooperate, in a period of Stability.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 19-25, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Cooperation.  To Cooperate?  To "work jointly toward the same end"?  Opposite of Competition?  (Sounds good to me!)  And note that there's a good Wikipedia Article on this.

Saturday, July 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.   Circulatory Release?   (Wow! 23.9 Million Hits on Google!)  One example  (Reading between the lines):   "The Circulatory System Releases Oxygen into the Human Body".   One Concept I learned Decades ago:  The "Release Lever".  If you feel Stuck, look around you.  Somewhere, often  "hidden in Plain Sight"  is a "Release Lever", which will Free you.  Use it!

Friday, July 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, July 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.   Circulatory Aspiration?  (Oh no!  Medical meanings come in).  Well, if I  *were*  the Heart in my Chest, I would Aspire to Circulate Blood, the best I can.  Likewise, Public Transit often helps Circulate people from their Homes to their Jobs. So just Aspire to Be. Be the best that you can!

Thursday, July 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Contrast in Circulation?   (Yes, lots of Medical meanings for this Combination!)   But how about Contrast in your life?  Yes, too little of it can seem Boring.  However, too much can get, downright Scary.  But it  *is*  important.

Wednesday, July 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  Adapting to your Circulation?  (Hmmm...)   Adaptability is a Synonym of Flexibility.  And the Flexible person tends to Adapt to his/her Surroundings.  Yet the Inflexible person asks his/her Surroundings to Adapt to him/her.   So which is better?

Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Words for the Day: Tuesday, July 14, 2020

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.  Agile Circulation?   Circulating Gracefully?   Obviously, both of these depend on what is Circulating.  An Air Supply?   Blood?  Library Books?  (I find the idea of Library Books Circulating Gracefully a bit funny).  Perhaps, the best thing to do with this Theme / Word Combination is not to think too much about it!

Monday, July 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, July 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.   Accelerated Circulation?   Depending on where you are, and what is occurring to you, this could be Interesting.  Look around!  This combination is, of course the Weather.

Sunday, July 12, 2020

Weekly Theme: Week of July 12-18, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Circulation.  Lots of things Circulate.  For example, Blood in a human body, books in a Library, and Cars on a Freeway.  I am attempting to figure out how it fits into Michael Transits.  How about Circulation of Consciousness through the Universe?

Saturday, July 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.   Acknowledging Celebrations?  [or]  Celebrating the act of Acknowledgement?   (I like the first better).  Who I  *do*  Acknowledge, are those who have helped me through this Life.   And remember:  It takes Knowledge to Acknowledge.

Friday, July 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, July 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness, which is  *definitely*  a Word to Celebrate.   But Celebrate Kindly, so that others have reason to Celebrate also.   Finally, have fun doing it.

Thursday, July 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.  Encouraging Celebration?  [or]   Celebrating Encouragement?  (Both  *can*  work, but this isn't as cut and dried as some other Words this Week).  But one thing to remember:  It takes Courage to Encourage.

Wednesday, July 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.   A Thoughtful Celebration?  (Especially in the Unusual Circumstances around the world right now).  Indeed, Celebrate in a way, that doesn't cause Heartbreak later on.  Word to the Wise.

Tuesday, July 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  So do we Support Celebrations?   [or]  Celebrate Support?  (Both?)   But have you found your Support Group?   We all have one (or more) of them.   And we are also, usually part of one (or usually more) Support Groups for other people.   Anyway, that is  *definitely*  something to Celebrate.

Monday, July 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, July 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.   Celebrate Comfortably?   [or]   Celebrate Comfort itself?  In my opinion, both of these are important.  For example, if the Celebration itself makes you Uncomfortable  (say, you are outside in 90 Degrees and Extreme Humidity, you might not feel too Comfortable),  you may not feel like continuing the  "Celebration".  So let's Celebrate Comfort!

Sunday, July 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  And what better thing to Celebrate, than a Nourishing  (and hopefully Delicious)  meal?  Likewise, a Dinner Party  (or, simply "going out for Lunch")  can, easily be used as a Method of Celebration.   See:  It works both ways.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 5-11, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Celebration.  Google:  "the action of marking one's pleasure at an important event or occasion by engaging in enjoyable, typically social, activity".  Now I have seen some, rather "interesting" Connotations about this, such as the need for Alcohol at Celebrations (which is  *not*  true!)  And some people think that, only some Events (like, for example, National Holidays) qualify for a Celebration.  Also not true.  Create your own Reasons to Celebrate!

Saturday, July 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Revelations about Prosperity?   (Why not?   Google has 3.4 million hits!)   But these could go together very well.  For example, during this general time frame, pay attention to the Revelations around you and see if any fit.  And have fun doing it.

Friday, July 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, July 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  When I try to combine it with our Theme, Google  (in it's 9.7 million hits)  includes references to the  "Book of Revelation" in the Bible.  Now, some of the things mentioned in that Book  (a few that seem to be included in the News:  For example, Locusts).  But what use  *is*  Liberation?  Actually, it has one:   If you feel stuck, look for Liberation from that  "Stuck State".

Thursday, July 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Revelation? (The Best Kind!)  Developing Wisdom?  Yes, reading good books and attending good "Weekend Seminars" might help, but don't forget the importance of Good Life Experience.  You're Wiser than you think!

Wednesday, July 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  Impartial Revelation?  (We could hope).  [or]   Revelation on Impartiality?   ("Only" 1,450,000 Google Hits, but including some interesting ones).  Please note that Impartiality is hard to find  (especially where people are most likely to look, such as the News Industry).  But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to develop it.  Challenging!

Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  So Revelations have Consequences?   (Certainly!  What doesn't?)  But please consider that Ignoring  (or, in some way, Blocking)  Revelations  *also*  have Consequences.  Think about it!

Monday, June 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, June 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminating Revelation itself?  (Please, No!)  But Eliminating things, that might get in the way of you being in a good State of Mind to Receive Revelations?  That might make sense.  Things, such as Self-Doubt and Victim Mentality can get in the way.  You get the picture.

Sunday, June 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  A Self-Reliant Revelation?  (Why not?)  But a Revelation about why it's good to be Self-Reliant fits too.  But remember that we have others around us too.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 28 to July 4, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Revelation.  So what does Google say?  Revelation is "a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way".  Please note that there are also Religious Connotations for this Theme, but I think the given Definition is good enough.  Now let's see how this fits our Week.

Saturday, June 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  Expanded Philosophy?  [or]  Philosophy of Expansion?  (Lots of Google Hits on this one!)  But let's be Selective about what we Expand.  Intellect and Spirituality?  Fine!  Your Body, around the Middle  (due to lots of Delicious Food)?  Not so great.  Careful there!

Friday, June 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, June 26, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  What a Philosophy this can make.  But be Selective.  For example, I Trust the Universe, and have Faith in a Higher Power.  But, when "standard" Human Beings are involved, Trust needs to be Earned, and Faith should not be Blind.

Thursday, June 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  A Philosophy of Gratitude?  (Sounds Awesome to me!  Also, 58.5 million Hits on Google).  And let's talk about Gratitude:  In my opinion, Gratitude helps the World go around.  So I ask you:  What are you Grateful for?

Wednesday, June 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.  An Equal Philosophy?  (Say what?)  [or]  A Philosophy of Equality?  On the Second One, I say,  "it depends".  For I agree with "Equal Opportunity",  but am against "Forced Conformity".

Tuesday, June 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  A Prudent Philosophy?  [or]  A Philosophy of Prudence?  The second one makes sense, since Prudence is, simply about being Practical.  Just don't go overboard and become a Prude.

Monday, June 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, June 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.  An Innocent Philosophy?  (Probably better than a Guilty one).  How about a Philosophy of Innocence?  (Hmmm...  Over 18 million hits on Google including some interesting-looking ones and the Wikipedia Entry for Innocence).  The bottom line?  It's better to be Innocent than Guilty.

Sunday, June 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  "Forgive my Philosophy"?  If it's an honest Philosophy, you should not be asked this question.  But, on the other hand, a Philosophy of forgiving others makes sense.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 21-27, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Philosophy.  So what does Google say about this?  Among other things, "the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence".  A Question some of us have been asked:  "What is your Philosophy of Life?"  This is a good topic to look up, and ponder.  And have fun, doing it.

Saturday, June 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.  An Authentic Education?  (Look for the Certificate of Authenticity, like you see with those Plates sold on TV).  But the best place for Authenticity, is the admonition to Be Authentic to Yourself.

Friday, June 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, June 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  One way this works well with our Theme, is that Interpreter is a good Career Path, that can be learned in College.  Turning this around, interpreting our Educational System can be a major undertaking.  And now we have online learning options, above and beyond what was offered before.  Enjoy!

Thursday, June 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  Socialization in an Educational Environment?  (Some people think that's the most important part!)  Now, usually, I like to suggest that,  "in person"  Socialization is better than, say, online options.  But our situation isn't normal right now.  So we do what we can.

Wednesday, June 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  Concentrated Education?  (Just add water).  One important Teaching I received:  "You get what you Concentrate on".  That can go, either in a good or bad direction, depending on the Details of what you are Concentrating on.  So Concentrate well!

Tuesday, June 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.  Acceptable Education?  (I would certainly  *hope*  so!)  But remember what is most important about Today's Word:  Be Acceptable to Yourself.

Monday, June 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, June 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  "A Generous Education Teaches people Generosity".  The reason this can seem to work is that we learn by Example.  For example, would you expect Scrooge  ("A Christmas Carol")  to competently teach you Generosity?  Didn't think so.

Sunday, June 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  And what better to Share, than what you have Learned?  In my opinion, all of Life is a Learning Experience, and anybody around me can be my Teacher, at least for a time.  So Share and Share alike!

Weekly Themes: Week of June 14-20, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Education and Teaching.  The way I see this, Education includes Teaching, but you can be "Taught" outside of an Educational Context.  (In fact, I consider that I learn things frequently, in "Everyday Life").  One phrase I learned, decades ago:  "Everyone around me can be my Teacher".  This ought to be a  *very*  interesting week!

Words for the Day: Saturday, June 13, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  If you are Studying a topic, and want to Retain what you learn, it helps to know the Big Picture View of that Topic, a Perspective you can get, from the Overview of that Topic.  And this Big Picture View helps, no matter what you are doing, as it helps you to understand  "Why".

Word for the Day: Friday, June 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  Besides what you see in a Mirror, Google has this to say about Reflection:  "serious thought or consideration".  That is the meaning, that I believe fits into the Spirit of these Themes and Words.  And, in an Educational situation, this is a good way to Retain what you are learning.

Thursday, June 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  Retention of Study?  [or]  The Study of Retention?  (Both confusing).  But be Selective of what you Study, as there are, otherwise too many Topics to get to.

Wednesday, June 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  A Sponge Absorbs and Retains water, so why can't we Absorb and Retain Knowledge?  Try it!

Tuesday, June 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  Review and Retention?  (They both start with "Re").  But, in a Learning Environment, Review  *is*  a good way to Retain what you just learned.  For example, if you are reading from a Textbook, hoping to get a good score on a test, take time to go back over what you read  (i.e. Skim the same passage, after you finish reading it through).  And note that some Textbooks help you, by having a  "Review"  portion of each Chapter.

Monday, June 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, June 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Experimental Retention?  (Lots of hits on Google).  [or]  Retention of Experiments?  (Depends on the Experiments, I guess).  But one thing I learned a  *long*  time ago:  All Life is Experimental.  Now, are you going to Retain these Experiments?

Sunday, June 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  If you Recognize someone, do you Retain that knowledge?  For how long?  Likewise, do you Recognize your Retention?  (Okay, now we're getting silly!)  How about if we recognize a good day?

Weekly Theme: Week of June 7-13, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Retention.  Retention?  You mean, "the continued possession, use, or control of something"?  There is a special version of this, where what is being retained is a Memory.  This shows up in Education, where Retention of what you studied is important to the success in a class.  I'm not sure, but I believe that this is the point of this Theme.

Saturday, June 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.  "I Resolve to Preserve my Resolve".  (Okay, I said it!)  But there is one thing important, to know about Resolutions:  They can be made at any time, not just at the New Years.

Friday, June 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, June 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Preserving Courage?  [or]  Courage to Preserve?  (Hmmm...)  The Second one depends, of course, on what you want to Preserve.  Preserve your Health?  Preserve your Book Collection?  Preserve your Leftover Food?  None of these appear to require much Courage.  Preserving your Friendships?  Maybe, depending on the details of your Relationship.  Once again, this combination isn't obvious to me.

Thursday, June 4, 2020

Words for the Day: Thursday, June 4, 2020

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you have the Strength and Power to Preserve things?  How about Preserving your Strength and Empowerment?  (Okay, I'm going around in circles).  But these are awesome traits to have.

Wednesday, June 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.  Competent Preservation?  [or]  Preserving Competence?  (Again, not the same!)  But the best Question to ask:  Are you Competent to be Yourself?

Tuesday, June 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.  Preserving Endurance?  [or]  Enduring Preservation?  (These are  *not*  the same!)  The first is easier to understand:  Health Clubs and Yoga come to mind.  And what do you get for your efforts?  Better Endurance in the Future?  Okay.

Monday, June 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, June 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  The Usual Connotation of this Word  (Being Fruitful, so as to Multiply)  helps to preserve the Human Species, but only to a point.  Actually, we need to Preserve our Planet, to Preserve us.

Sunday, May 31, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.  I guess that Preserving  "things"  (i.e. Books) would be easier in a Stable, Dry Environment, than outside in a Chaotic Environment, such as a Thunderstorm.  Yes, some of these Words go well with our Theme.

Weekly Theme: Week of May 31 to June 6, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Preservation.  If I Google it, I get "the action of preserving something".  Not the most helpful way of Defining a Word, so let us "Define Preserve".  Better.  Besides a Synonym for Jam or Marmalade, we get  "maintain (something) in its original or existing state".  So you can go anywhere from Preserving your place in Line (by, for example, not running out to get more Groceries) to Preserving the Human Race.  Let's see how this works with our Words this week.

Saturday, May 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.  There are times, in your life, when you might feel Stuck.  And this situation often doesn't feel good.  But, when this is occurring, look around you.  For somewhere in your Situation, you are likely to find a  "Release Lever".  It can look like anything, but the context tells you it's possible use.  And that would be to Free you from this Situation you feel stuck in.  Good luck!

Friday, May 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, May 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.  I can't Analyze this Word, without seeing the Medically-oriented meanings  (i.e. Aspirate Fluids from your Lungs -- Something that has been unfortunately common, recently).  But, in my opinion, the best usage is to Aspire to be your Personal Best.

Thursday, May 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.  Analyzing Contrast?  Yes, and this is what I get:  Too little Contrast in your Life can seem Boring, yet too Much Contrast can get, downright Scary.  This is, yet one more case where a Balanced Life is best.

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  Adaptable Analysis?  (Google likes it, mainly with the word  "workflow"  added).  When I analyze Adaptability, I find it similar to Flexibility.  And that brings up a point:  Flexible People tend to Adapt to their Surroundings.  However, Inflexible People tend to  "ask"  their Surroundings to Adapt to them!

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Words for the Day: Tuesday, May 26, 2020

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.  Analyzing Agility Gracefully?  (Sort of works).  Unlike Yesterday, which implied speed, today's Words imply the possibility of Slow Deliberation, though a spinning Ballerina can be quite fast.  One example of an activity that encourages these Traits is to  "Walk a Labyrinth".  Some of you may be fortunate enough to live close to one of these.

Monday, May 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, May 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.  Accelerated Analysis?  How about Analysis of Inappropriate Acceleration?  Like, for example, excessive Acceleration of a Motor Vehicle which, of course, could result in a Traffic Ticket?  Perhaps Analysis of the situation allows prevention of the inappropriate behavior!

Sunday, May 24, 2020

Words for the Day: Sunday, May 24, 2020

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.  Patient Analysis, with Tolerance of the Results?  Works well, it seems.

Weekly Theme: Week of May 24-30, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Analysis.  So what does Google say about Analysis?  It is the  "detailed examination of the elements or structure of something".  Now, if that "something" is *you*, this might have to do with "Psychoanalysis", or Analysis of your Mind.  So stay healthy!

Saturday, May 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.  Acknowledging your Archives?  If your Pubic Library, of Course!  For example, how much have you learned from the Books you have taken out, over the years?  And one thing to notice:  It takes Knowledge to Acknowledge.

Friday, May 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, May 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.  Kindness towards Archives?  If, by Archives we mean our local Public Library, it makes sense.  In fact, Kindness makes Sense on  *all*  Levels, even to helping the World go Around.

Thursday, May 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.  Encouraging your Archives?  (Meaning your Public Library?  Yes!)  But, in general, be selective of what you Encourage, because you will have to live with it.  And remember:  It takes Courage to Encourage.

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.  Thoughtful Archives?  [or]  Thoughtful  *in*  Archives?  (On the second, don't talk too loud, for example).  But remember that being Thoughtful simply means to be Full of Thought.  Think about it!

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  "Support your local Archives"?  (Supporting your local, Public Library isn't a bad idea).  But look around you for your  *OWN*  Support Group.  You have one of these, and it will serve you well!

Monday, May 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, May 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.  Comfortable Archives?  (Well, when we were allowed to enter Buildings, one example was the Public Library.  That was definitely a comfortable place to Read Archives).  Now, we need to find our own Comfort, wherever we are allowed to go.

Sunday, May 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  Would you Recognize an Archive if you saw one?  One common example of an Archive?  A Book, which, in some cases, Archives somebody's Ideas for a period of time.  Could that Book be Nourishing?  I guess if you were a Termite, you might think so.  But I will suggest that a good Book can be Nourishment for the Mind.

Weekly Theme: Week of May 17-23, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Archives.  Do you make Archives of your Computer Files?  (Translation:  Do you Back them up, so that, if something went wrong, you could get them back?)  I will give one example:  Most Computers have, some form of Hard Drive inside them.  They also have External Ports, such as USB (Universal Serial Bus), allowing external storage, which can be used, to save Copies of your important files.  Have I changed your behavior, so that you are less likely to lose important, personal data?  If so, You're Welcome.  Before I go, one more example of an Archive:  Your Public Library.

Saturday, May 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  A Strategy of Prosperity?  (Certainly).  And it begins, by not conduct your life in a way that Sabotages your Financial Health.  After that, you can learn Investment Strategies, that can affirmatively help your Prosperity.  In other words, a Multi-Step Process.

Friday, May 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, May 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  Liberation from Strategy?  (Hope not!)  A Strategy of Liberation?  (Better!)  And, if you find yourself Stuck, Liberation can be a good Tool.  Need we say more?

Thursday, May 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Strategy?  (The best kind!)  So how do you develop and maintain Wisdom?  Good Books?  Good Weekend Seminars?  These help, but don't forget good, old fashioned Life Experience.  That aces everything else!

Wednesday, May 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  As suggested yesterday, this is a difficult time for a Word like this.  But that shouldn't stop you from striving for this Trait, especially if you plan a Career in the News Industry.  And it shouldn't stop you from rating News Sources, based on how close they come to this particular Strategy.  One thing I have found:  News Sources in other Countries are, often highly biased on the coverage of their own Country.  (This, of course, occurs in the US also, but I have a point to make).  In these other Countries, look for News about Countries they are Neutral with.  And have fun doing it.

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Do Strategies have Consequences?  (Of Course!)  But  *Lack*  of Strategy can, also have a Consequence.  Think about it.

Monday, May 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, May 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminating Strategy?  (I hope not!)  But Eliminating Behavior that gets in the way of creating good Strategies?  (Yes).  But other things can be Eliminated as well, such as excess  "Junk"  in your House or Apartment.

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  Strategy of Self-Reliance?  Probably the best kind!  For once, these go together fairly well.

Sunday, May 10, 2020

Weekly Theme: Week of May 10-16, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Strategy.  So what does Google say about Strategy?  It is "a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim".  In the Game of Chess, you have both Strategy and Tactics.  Strategy is the overall Plan for the Game, and Tactics consist of the Consequences, for certain actions that can occur in the Game.  For example, if you leave a Piece unprotected, in a place that your Opponent has control over, you can lose it.  And, of course, Strategy and Tactics occur in life too.

Saturday, May 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  So when is Expansion Useful?  When it is about Spiritual or Intellectual Expansion.  When is it not?  In my opinion, Excessive Expansion around the Middle of the Body, typically caused by the Consumption of lots of Delicious Food is, much less Useful.  Be Selective.

Friday, May 8, 2020

Words for the Day: Friday, May 8, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  So how Useful are these?  It's definitely Useful to Trust the Universe, and have Faith in a Higher Power.  But, when  "Ordinary Human Beings"  come in, it's a different story.  For example, Trust must be Earned, and can be easily Violated.  And  "Blind Faith"  in a Human Being can also go bad.  Be Careful.

Thursday, May 7, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 7, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  In my opinion, this is an  *extremely*  Useful Word, because Gratitude helps the World go Around.  I am, of course, Grateful for everyone who has helped me to become who I am.  This is a huge list, of course.  So who are You Grateful for?

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.  So when is Equality Useful?  In my opinion, it is when it is Equal Opportunity for All.  It is  *less*  Useful when it means Forced Conformity.  See the difference?

Tuesday, May 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  Useful Prudence?  [or]  Prudent Usefulness?  (Hmmm...  I thought these would go together easier).  But, as Prudence is simply about Practicality, it is  *definitely*  Useful.  Just don't go overboard and turn into a Prude.

Monday, May 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, May 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.  Are you Innocent?  (Loaded Question.  You Don't need to answer!)  But, in the Criminal Justice System, this is a Crucial part of, if someone goes home or is Incarcerated (or worse!)  But know that, no matter how bad things seem, there are Resources available to you.  And please note, current date May 4, 2020, in a Probability experienced by some people, we might feel like we are being Incarcerated by a Virus.  What a Concept!

Sunday, May 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  Forgive my [lack of] Usefulness?  (Doesn't make any sense, except with the two words in brackets).  How about,  "Is it Useful to Forgive?  (Yes!)  By the way, some equate  "Forgive"  with  "Forget",  but I don't see it that way.  Once, it was pointed out that you can turn  "Forgive" around to  "Give Forth"  (i.e. Love).  That makes a lot more sense to me.

Weekly Theme: Week of May 3-9, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Usefulness.  As a Child, I often "tried to help" (i.e. in the Kitchen when Mom was cooking) only to, just "get in the way".  This became an Obsession for me like, for example, when I started my "Day Jobs".  Before my first Computer Job, I put in a couple of years at a Jack in the Box fast food Restaurant.  The long and short of it, was that what I did was high quality, but I lacked "quantity" (often called "lack of Hustle").  Guess what is more important at a Fast Food Restaurant?  Correct!  But I was, fortunately able to prove my Usefulness, once I started into the Computer Field.  Let's see how this works with this Week's Words.

Saturday, May 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.  An Authentic Economy?  (Oh yes:  Look for that Certificate of Authenticity, like you get with those Plates, sold on TV).  But, once again, the most important part of Authenticity, is to be Authentic to yourself.

Friday, May 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, May 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  Practical Interpretation?  (It gave me 285,000,000 hits on Google!)  How about Interpreting an Economy?  (Economic language isn't always easy to understand).  But the best way, in my opinion to look at Interpretation, is as a possible Career Choice, as people, pretty much everywhere need help with Languages, other than their natural one.

Thursday, April 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, April 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  A Socialized Economy?  Socialism?  (Oh my, I don't want to go down that Rabbit Hole tonight).  But Practical Socialization?  That I can go with.  Is Facebook Practical Socialization?  What do you think?

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, April 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  A Concentrated Economy?  (Yes:  Just add Water!)  One thing I  *have*  heard, many times, is that  "You Get what you Concentrate on".  What that means to me, is that you have control, over what you get.  Keep that in mind, when Concentrating.

Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, April 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.  So when is an Economy Acceptable?  One way is if it's Practical.  But you know where Acceptability is most important?  When you are Acceptable to Yourself!

Monday, April 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, April 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  A Generous Economy?  (The best kind!)  But know that Generosity helps the World go around.  Definitely something to be practiced.

Sunday, April 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, April 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  And, of course, if we live in a Practical Economy, we should want to Share it.  Right?  (These aren't always Givens).  But people are in a better condition to Share, in a good Economy.

Weekly Themes: Week of 4/26 - 5/02/2020

The Themes for this Week are Economy and Practicality.  I guess, that the best connection between these two is that, the Economy you live in is best, if it is a Practical one.  But otherwise, these two Words are typically used differently.  They are both, common enough that I will let you look them up, for a change.

Saturday, April 25, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, April 25, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  And yes, whether you are gaining the  "Big Picture View"  (which is what Overview and Perspective give you) of the Organizations in your lives or, if Organizing your Life gives you a Big Picture View of what is happening, these are both quite Important.  And face it:  We all need a bit of Perspective, especially with what is occurring right now!

Friday, April 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, April 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  An Organized Reflection?  (A Corporation wants me to pay to find out).  But know that you Reflect who you are, every place you go.  So Reflect well.

Thursday, April 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, April 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  Organized Study?  (Certainly:  Schools come to mind).  But notice hoe many Topics can be Studied?  So many, in fact, that it pays to be Selective.  For example, if you are young enough to be planning for College, notice that your Major and Minor is only, about two Topics.  If you choose carelessly, it's hard to change Majors, without losing Months, or even Years of College Education.  So Choose well.

Wednesday, April 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, April 22, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  Absorbing an Organization?  (Might make a good Movie).  But actually, Absorption is a Learning tool, such as the Immersion Method of learning a Language.  So be like a Sponge for a day.  What could be more fun?

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, April 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  Organized Review?  (Did a Google Search, with a Bunch of Hits, many of them confused).  But Life, in general, includes a lot of opportunities for Review.  On the quick side, Review your Shopping List, to see if your trip to the Store was complete.  However, there are more Detailed Review Opportunities in Life, with the most Complex example being Life Review, that people report, after a Near Death Experience.  Most Reviews are somewhere in the middle.

Monday, April 20, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, April 20, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Experimenting with Organizing,  say,  a Living Environment  (i.e. a House or Apartment) can,  actually be fun.  If you are stuck someplace, try to see how many Arrangements can be made of your Home Layout.  And this also applies to your Computer Desktop.  It can be fun to Experiment.

Sunday, April 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, April 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  This can go two ways:  Recognize the Organizations that help you, and Recognize your own  (possible) efforts to Organize, what's around you.  And, since we, at this Unusual Time, are likely to have, either Very Little Time, or Too Much Time, learn to Organize it.  (Google  "Time Management",  for example).

Weekly Theme: Week of April 19-25, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Organization.  So what does it mean to Organize?  According to Google, it means to "arrange [something] into a structured whole; order".  And it fits right now, since I have an unexpected amount of Free Time around my Apartment.  So, why not "arrange it into a structured whole"?  But we are not through!  For if I ask Google to "Define Organization", it also comes up (in part) with "an organized body of people with a particular purpose".  And note that that Purpose can include a Business or Firm (Profit or not).  Also could be a Society or Agency.  I could go on, but take a look at the Synonyms for that Google Definition I brought up.  And you are, finally free to Organize your Fun.

Saturday, April 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, April 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.  "I Resolve to Protect"?  [or]  "To Protect my Resolve"?  (Both make, only Limited Sense).  Now, the place where we all hear about a variation on Resolve, "Resolutions", is at the New Years.  But keep in mind that Resolutions can be made at any time of the Year.
