Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 30, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. So, through our Themes, you now are in charge of a project. Is it an acceptable project? Are you conducting yourself in an acceptable manner, regarding this project? And, above all, are you acceptable to yourself?

Word for the Day: Monday, June 29, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. This is a good trait, in any situation, but can make other people happier to see (and maybe participate in) the project that you're working on, through our Themes. I've heard, many times, about how it's good to perform "random acts of Kindness". How about a few, "random acts of Generosity"? Thank you.

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 28, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. And projects, whether "precipitated" [i.e. dropped in your lap], or initiated, by your own act, are meant to be shared. And, in my opinion, it can be fun to do so.

Weekly Themes: Week of June 28 through July 4, 2015

The Themes for this Week are Precipitation and Initiation.  Precipitation is an interesting word, which includes chemistry definitions. In our context, I consider precipitation, to be the action of a project, "plopping into my [or your] lap".  In other words, somebody "initiated" the project, just not you.  On the other hand, the word, Initiation is here, for an act of free will, on your [or my] part, to begin a project.

In both of these cases, I am [or your are] left with a project to develop and, hopefully, eventually complete.

Words for the Day: Saturday, July 27, 2015

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. If all of the prior steps (or "Words"), for this week have worked properly, the final result, for the Discovery we "encountered", back on Sunday will be the Big Picture view (a combination of today's Words). This exercise should show one major concept: There are usually no shortcuts: Every step, this week was important. Thank you.

Word for the Day: Friday, June 26, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. This can fit our theme, in at least two ways. We might sit down and do some serious reflection on our Discovery, or we might actually hold it up to a mirror, to see its reflection. It's amazing how these things work.

Thursday, June 25, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 25, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. To recap, the Discovery came first. We then "recognized" it, performed experiments, based on it, held reviews of the week, so far, and then went on one of those Marathon sessions (absorption). Now, if we are still interested, we could create a formal field if Study, on the Discovery. This will show how serious we are, on this Discovery. :-)

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 24, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. So how do you absorb a Discovery? If it's something "public", I might spend hours, reading article after article, possibly linked to, by Google Search. Or I might read a book, from cover to cover, about the Discovery. I might go back to Monday's Word, and try more experiments on the subject. If it's something taught in a classroom, the corresponding "type" of teaching, used frequently with foreign languages, is called "Immersion Training" where, in the case of a language, the language being taught is ALL that is spoken in the classroom.

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 23, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. So first, last Sunday, we had our Discovery* itself. Still, on Sunday, we recognized this Discovery as something special. Then, yesterday (Monday), we performed experiments, to see if this Discovery passes a consistency test, regardless of the experiment. Then, today, we Review this Discovery, perhaps comparing it to other examples, that appear close to it.

-----------------------

* Please note that, at least up to this point, I haven't had to disclose any particular details, on this Discovery. This is intentional, as I intend for it to be Generic, relating to something in YOUR lives.

Monday, June 22, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, June 22, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. After thinking you discovered something, some experiments may be in order, to see if the Discovery [our Theme] is for real. In fact, I might be able to "pull off", where I use this discovery, for the rest of this week. (For example, see yesterday's Word, to see how we first "recognize" our discovery).

Sunday, June 21, 2015

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 21, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. And, of course, part of the discovery process, is to recognize what you just found. But I also like to recognize those, who help me through my lifetime.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 21-27, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Discovery.  My understanding of the definition is, "the act of finding something or someone, unexpectedly or in the course of a search".  (I got that, via Google, from a conglomerate of "define discovery" [which uses "discover" in its definition], and "define discover").  This Theme is certainly in vogue, considering the popularity of the conglomerate of TV Channels, that all began with "the Discovery channel".

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 20, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. "I resolve to treat my Location with respect". (I was TRYING to figure out how to combine this Word with our Theme). Many of you might have already seen this, but I love, how this Word can be, both a noun and a verb: "I resolve to keep my resolve".

Friday, June 19, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, June 19, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. To continue our exploration of this week's theme, some locations require courage, to live in. Once again, only the most courageous choose to live in Antarctica. Also, I'm sure, Alaska. But right now, it's the heat that is testing peoples' courage. Good luck, everybody!

Thursday, June 18, 2015

Words for the Day: Thursday, June 18, 2015

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment. Do you know your own strength? Do you feel empowered? Do the answers to the last two questions depend on where you are [theme: Location]? It seems (to me, at least) that the strongest people can be strong, practically anywhere. But weaker people can be stronger, if in good "locations". What are your experiences? Do you have locations, that you find "empowering"? I have two: Seattle, Washington and Carrboro [or Chapel Hill], North Carolina.

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 17, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. Keeping with our Theme, some Locations can require more competence, even just for survival, than others. For example, some say the most challenging place to "call home", is Antarctica. Personally, I'm "feeling the need" to "draw upon my own competence", just living in Carrboro, North Carolina, because of the local weather situation (which can be summed up, with three words, "Hot and Humid"). Part of the competence, can be owning the "proper gear" for your climate which, in my case, includes a properly charged Air Conditioner. Good luck, folks!

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 16, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. So why is it easier to endure some Locations, than others? Many topics come to mind. For example, the weather can make some locations difficult to endure, whether normally hot, cold, wet, or dry. Local politics can make a difference, as can presence, or absence of services (i.e. shopping, restaurants, automobile fueling stations, and places offering personal servicing, such as hair salons). As for endurance training? I recommend Yoga.

Monday, June 15, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, June 15, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. The connection this has, with our Theme is quite important, because the Location, that a person "performs Fertility Rites" [lol!] is VERY important, because people get arrested, if done, say, in public.

One note: Fertility has other meanings, such as my favorite: A Fertile Imagination.

Sunday, June 14, 2015

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 14, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. And I've said this before, but a Stable Living Environment is important, at least to me.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 14-20, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Location.  "Location, Location.  Location!", the "rhetorical cliché" goes.  But there's truth in the fact that your relationships, career  --  your entire livelihood can depend on where, in the world you live.  In some countries, mainly with religious governments, your career, as well as relationships are "determined", often by birth and definitely by gender.  So pay attention to where you live.

Saturday, June 13, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 13, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. Imaginative Release? Release from a Composition? Because if you feel stuck in life, there might be an "imaginative Release Lever", somewhere in your environment, that can free you, to complete that Composition, that you felt you are "stuck" about. :-)

Friday, June 12, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, June 12, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. We got some good humor about this Word, in the comments, on yesterday's post. Yes, there are medical meanings, for this word. But the way I prefer to approach it today, is in a sentence that also brings in both of the Themes for this week: "I aspire to use my imagination, to submit the best compositions, that I personally can".

Thursday, June 11, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 11, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Writing a composition? Use your imagination, to add contrast to it, so it won't be boring. (However, don't go overboard, as a composition (i.e. book, story, article) often goes over peoples' heads, if there is TOO MUCH contrast).

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 10, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. An "Adaptable Imagination"? Adaptable [or Flexible] enough, to submit a good Composition? Or, in the other direction, having the Imagination to be Adaptable (or Flexible)? Note: I didn't create these Words and Themes. I just work with what I get. One comment: The flexible person adapts to his/her surroundings. The INFLEXIBLE person asks those around him/her to Adapt to him/her.

Words for the Day: Tuesday, June 9, 2015

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. The obvious connotation for these Words would of course be in the Physical realm (and a way, I used to develop these, is to "walk the labyrinth" [plug those three words into Google for more information]). And, to tie these Words, with our Themes, I present: "Using my Agile Imagination, allows me to submit Graceful Compositions".

Monday, June 8, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, June 8, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. I'm a bit selective on this one. For example, I'm ALL for accelerated Imagination. Also, accelerated spiritual development. However, I would recommend caution, having to do with Physical World acceleration, such as what can be caused by pressing down on a certain acceleration pedal, in a motor vehicle.

Sunday, June 7, 2015

Words for the Day: Sunday, June 7, 2015

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance, both of which are crucial, to attracting Imagination into your life. I believe Tolerance goes more with Composition, where what you WANTED to provide, say to a class, might be different from the "composition" that you were assigned to complete.

Weekly Themes: Week of June 7-13, 2015

The Themes for this Week are Composition and Imagination.  Let's break these down, one by one.  The meaning of Composition, closest to Imagination is, "a work of music, literature, or art".  What distinguishes this from Imagination, however, is that this could be a "derivitive project" like, say, a book report.  Now let's take Imagination, one meaning of is, "the faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses".  So we're talking projects here.  The details may be different, however.

Saturday, June 6, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 6, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. I acknowledge both the things I learned, and the people who helped teach them (even if indirectly), that helped me to achieve a balanced life. And please note, that it takes knowledge to acknowledge.

Friday, June 5, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, June 5, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. It is, in my opinion, not only a dramatic step, towards a balanced life, but also helps the World go around. I fully recommend random acts of Kindness, throughout your life.

Thursday, June 4, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 4, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. And it's a "no-brainer", that I fully encourage all of you to live balanced lives. But just think about it: Part of your strength, in life, is not necessarily what you do, with your own hands and feet, but who you encourage. So pick well, folks, lest you encourage something that you wish you could stop.

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 3, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. In my opinion, thinking before speaking and/or acting (my definition of being thoughtful), is an important part of a Balanced life. In addition, I believe that being thoughtful, is part of being mindful, also an important part of being a sentient being on Planet Earth.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 2, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. And I fully support a balanced lifestyle. By the way, there is a concept, in multiple philosophies, including the "Michael Teachings": This is the Support Group. In my opinion, everyone needs one. And a good way to work this, is to be part of the Support Group of other people also.

Monday, June 1, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, June 1, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Balanced comfort? Actually, I think it works easier in the other direction. If you are living in comfort, it's easier to live a balanced life.
