Word for the Day: Monday, March 31, 2014

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. And yes, this IS an important part of Survival (our Theme). Not only what is usually thought of, as a definition, but some that are less known, such as "having a fertile imagination".

Sunday, March 30, 2014

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 30, 2014

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. And I can certainly believe that it's easier to survive in a stable environment.

Weekly Theme: Week of 3/30 to 4/05/2014

The Theme for this Week is Survival.  I guess the simplest definition is, quite simply, "continuing to live".  Going deeper, however, brings us to "survival, in adverse conditions", such as after an accident or severe illness.

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 29, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. And I do NOT think this means to "release" myself from the responsibility to manifest things into my life. Instead, I believe it means to "release myself from blocks and barriers, that make it HARDER to manifest, in my life". Once again, see if this fits, in your life. Thank you!

Word for the Day: Friday, March 28, 2014

The Word for Yesterday (Friday) was Aspiration. Can I tie this to our Theme? Yes, at least personally: "I aspire to be the best, at manifesting good things into my life". Try that out. Does it fit you? (And sorry I'm late, posting this).

Thursday, March 27, 2014

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 27, 2014

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. How much contrast do you want to manifest in your life? It depends on how adventurous you are. Because too much Contrast can be scary, whereas too little can be boring.

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 26, 2014

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. Another word for this is flexibility. How does this couple with Manifestation? Well, if you're a generally flexible person, you're less likely to be "absolute" about what you wish to manifest. For example, "I want a good source of transportation" is more flexible than, "I want a Tesla car, and I want it now!" :-)

Words for the Day: Tuesday, March 25, 2014

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. So how do you manifest these? Some suggest a Gym membership. However, I'm more partial to Yoga.

Monday, March 24, 2014

Word for the Day: Monday, March 24, 2014

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated Manifestation? I believe that's what people HOPE for. But be careful, because some people are a bit confused about what they really want, or need, in life. (For example, wishing ONLY to manifest money, rather than what you could purchase with that money).

Words for the Day: Sunday, March 23, 2014

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. And let me tell you, manifesting on, what passes for a Physical Plane takes a LOT of both Patience AND Tolerance (the latter, mainly having to do with tolerating "partial results", on the way to "full manifestation").

Weekly Theme: Week of March 23-29, 2014

The Theme for this Week is Manifestation.  I liken this to creation.  But, in this case, the creation may be complete in other "planes of existence", including the "mental" plane (which I interpret as "in your brain").  In other words, to take something that you "envision, in your brain and/or mind", and bring it into your physical plane life say, on Planet Earth.

Note that there are steps, on the way to Manifestation, which will correspond, in some form, to the Words for this Week.

Saturday, March 22, 2014

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 22, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. And, if you're a business, you'll prosper better if you acknowledge your biggest patrons. When I've been a "regular" in restaurants, I've had the experience of being "taken for granted", and treated worse and worse. I've had the same experiences with the Computer jobs, in my life, where I save their rear ends, in an overnight emergency call, but there's, not only no acknowledgement, but also no bonus or compensatory time off. (And I was an "Exempt, Salaried Employee", so I was not paid more than for 40 hours a week, anyway! This helped trigger a Job Burnout in 9/1997. Yuck!)

Friday, March 21, 2014

Word for the Day: Friday, March 21, 2014

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. This Word goes by itself, because Kindness helps the World go around. However, it still goes with our Theme, in both directions, because it not only helps for businesses to be kind to their Patrons, but for patrons to be kind to the businesses (and organizations) they are patrons to.

Thursday, March 20, 2014

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 20, 2014

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. And, of course, businesses can encourage patronage by providing good products and friendly service. Also, if you saw last Monday's Word (Comfort), by providing comfortable surroundings (and chairs).

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 19, 2014

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Thoughtful Patronage? Of Course! If you're actually helped by an organization, such as public TV or Radio, show your support!

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 18, 2014

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. This is VERY close to Patronage (our Theme), because being a patron of, say, a business is supporting it. So be selective, so you don't get judged in ways you didn't expect.

Monday, March 17, 2014

Word for the Day: Monday, March 17, 2014

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. And this brings up a pet peeve I have with some establishments, such as restaurants and movie theaters. They think they can "save money", by purchasing less expensive seats, that happen to be the exact opposite of today's Word! The point here, is that more investment, in the beginning, can make for more profit, later!

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 16, 2014

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  And this fits our Theme easily, as it's good to be a patron of delicious and nourishing restaurants.

Weekly Theme: Week of March 16-22, 2014

The Theme for this Week is Patronage.  This is providing support for businesses or organizations that you like.  For example, someone who likes opera might become a patron of his/her local opera house.  There are many correspondences here, such as public radio stations, stores (including membership coops), and (covered in Today's Word), even restaurants.

Saturday, March 15, 2014

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 15, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. Ethical prosperity? I'd say I have no trouble with prosperity, ethically obtained. The problem is that some people consider prosperity a "zero sum game", with a "belief" that the only way to "get prosperous" is if other people "lose their prosperity". In other words, Win/Lose, verses Win/Win.

Friday, March 14, 2014

Word for the Day: Friday, March 14, 2014

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. Let's see, liberation FROM ethics, or liberation VIA ethics? I'm going to guess that the second works better.

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 13, 2014

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. I humbly believe that our themes (Principles and Ethics) come, at the same time as wisdom. For example, as we live ethically, we gain wisdom. But, on the other hand, as we bring wisdom into our life, we build on our "code of ethics".

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 12, 2014

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Impartial principles and/or ethics? I only think partly like, for example, being impartial on the "makeup" of other people. For example, one of my Principles is that "we are all human beings first, with ANYTHING ELSE coming afterwards" (which includes race, religion, sexuality and, last one for me, smoker or non-smoker).

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 11, 2014

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. And yes, no matter what your principles, as well as "code of ethics" are, there are consequences. The nature of those consequences depends on the details, however.

Monday, March 10, 2014

Word for the Day: Monday, March 10, 2014

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. Eliminate Principles and/or Ethics? Please, no! However, eliminating issues in your life that get in the way of a principled and/or ethical life sounds good to me.

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 9, 2014

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  Self-reliance as a principle?  Ethical self-reliance?  But, with all that, remember a poem, by John Donne, "No Man is an Island".

Weekly Themes: Week of March 9-15, 2014

The Themes for this Week are Principles and Ethics.  Are you principled?  Do you believe in Ethics?  These can turn out to be important questions to ask yourself.  By the way, Wikipedia has pages on both Principles and Ethics

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 8, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. One way to spiritually expand is to reclaim (or Salvage, to keep with our Themes) parts of yourself, that may be lost. I recommend a practice, known as Soul Retrieval.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Words for the Day: Friday, March 7, 2014

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. I've heard (and read) of many relationships, that needed to be salvaged, due to either blind faith, or misplaced trust. Remember, folks: Trust must be earned, and faith is best, if not blind.

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 6, 2014

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. If you encounter a life-changing transformation, remember to thank the ones involved, even if they are the Universe, your Guardian Angels, your Inner Self, or even other human beings.

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 5, 2014

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. And once again, I strongly prefer the interpretation, "equal opportunity for all", to a "popular" alternative, "enforced conformity".

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 4, 2014

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. How does this connect with our Themes? For one, you are less likely to "feel the need to salvage your life", if you act in a prudent manner, thinking before you speak and/or act.

Monday, March 3, 2014

Word for the Day: Monday, March 3, 2014

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. How do our Themes relate to innocence? Well, if the person IS innocent, you should be able to salvage some good, forensic evidence to prove it. For example, did the real crook leave fingerprints? How about DNA? Both of these are great, in determining the guilt, or innocence of the person in question.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 2, 2014

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness, which can be a first step towards "salvaging" a broken friendship.

Weekly Themes: Week of March 2-8, 2014

The Themes for this Week are Salvage and Salvation.  Salvage can be a "nuts and bolts" thing, such as salvaging the remains of a ship that sunk a few years ago.  But Salvation is a more personal, even "biblical concept", which even has a Wikipedia page

Saturday, March 1, 2014

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 1, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. An "authentic addiction"? Oh well, probably better than a counterfeit addiction!  :-)
