Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 31, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Do we make Impartial Choices in our lives? Now, *REALLY*??? We wear our Biases (often literally "wearing them" say, in our clothing) in all of our Choices. So how can we get closer to impartiality? How about honestly exploring situations, locations, and philosophies that take you your "Comfort Zone". For example, when we went to War against Iraq in 2003, I was confused, about Islam. For example, I did not know of the issues, behind the split between the Sunni and Shia versions. So, I purchased a book, "Islam for Dummies", and learned a lot. But I still think that the main idea of a Religion is, to Love God and Love your Neighbor.

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 30, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. And it is *quite* true that you create Consequences, when you make Choices. But there is a "special kind" of Choice, well known, but often misunderstood: It is the Choice, to "Skip making a Choice". First off, things don't actually *work* that way! (For one, you are the *only* person, who can live your life). But, even in an "illusory" Universe, where something like that were "possible", the Consequence is likely to be Severe, since it "kind of" appears that you, at least temporarily, would be "choosing" not to fully live!

Word for the Day: Monday, May 29, 2917

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. So are we talking about the "Elimination of Choice"? I Sure *Hope* Not! But Choosing to Eliminate things in your life that you, either have outgrown? Perhaps. Also, it's possible that we're talking about Eliminating things, that interfere with making informed choices. Good luck!

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 28, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. So are you using Self-Reliance to make better Choices? Or are you Choosing to be Self-Reliant today? Hopefully, a bit of both! But please note the complexity of the second question: It is also good, to choose to include others in your life. For example, it is always good to have a Support Group. (As well, it is also good to be part of the Support Group of other people). Happy Choosing!

Weekly Theme: Week of 5/28 - 6/03/2017

The Theme for this Week is Choice.  What does this mean?  According to Google Define, Choice means "an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities".  And, when I add principles from Quantum Physics to this, I often tell people, that "When you make choices, you Create Worlds!"  Why?  Becomes, somewhere "upstairs" from "mainline, Waking Consciousness", "someone" (usually, more than one "part" of you) wants to know what occurred, with the "other Choice".  One example, which I believe is easy to understand:  Imagine you are working for a firm, located in multiple states (or even countries).  In our example, you are working for the Office in New York.  Also, you are "happily married" (however you might define that).  So, one day, you are called, into a Management Office, and told you have an "opportunity" for, both a Promotion and a significant Raise.  The catch?  It would require you to, indefinitely relocate to the "Corporate Office" in Chicago, Illinois.  You are told to "think this over", but "don't take too long, as we must make a final decision, 'soon'".  You go home, quite excited (as you have been hoping for a promotion, for a "long time"), and tell your Spouse.  His/her response is *QUITE* surprising!  It goes like this:  "What?  Chicago???  I absolutely Loathe Chicago!!!"  And then, after an awkward silence, he/she says, in a dangerous, almost sulking manner, "If you want to go to Chicago, go ahead.  But count me out!"  So, the parameters, for a an obviously, emotionally charged decision is set.  In one, you take the promotion, perhaps hoping you can make Chicago temporary, and/or gradually warm your spouse, on the virtues of the "Windy City".  In the other, you turn down the promotion, possibly preventing future promotions (because you aren't a "team player"), and perhaps not even making your spouse happy in the long run (because your Salary isn't going up).  And so, one Choice is considered "Primary", and the other might show up in your Dreams.  Good luck, folks!

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 27, 2917

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. One type of Transition, is a change in size. For example, your Chest expands and contracts, as you breathe in and out. But that is not the only thing you can expand: You can also expand your Intellect, as you learn more and more, through your lifetime. But be careful about expansion around your "Middle", if you eat excessive amounts of delicious food!

Friday, May 26, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, May 26, 2017

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. Do you Trust your Transitions? Do you have faith in your Transformations? Many people have issues in this area, as change, of any kind can be scary at times. But, since change occurs, whether you like it or not, why not play a part in your Life Transitions. Take charge, folks!

Thursday, May 25, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 25, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. I obviously have Gratitude for, at least *most* of my Transformations. (And some, that didn't "seem" harmonious, when they occurred, turned out to be important to my life, later. So I can now say I have Gratitude for a Job Burnout, that occurred in 1997, due to how much I learned about, both myself, and Reality itself!) So feel free to treat Today, as if it were Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 24, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Are some projects "more Equal than others"? That would beg the question: What *does* Equality mean, anyway? There are two major "contexts" for this Word, shown by "word usage": "Equal Opportunity", or "forced Equality" (by, say, conformity). The second can be found in some Private Schools, where there are "School Uniforms", such that all students look, "sort of" alike! And office Dress Codes can come close to this, when all male employees are "required" to wear suits and ties to work. But the usage I prefer can be seen in the following phrase, "Equal Opportunity for All!"

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 23, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. Are personal Transformations Prudent? It depends on the details of the Transformation involved, of course! What were you like, before the change, verses afterwards. There are a number of categories involved, of course, such as how you treat other people, how you treat plants and animals around you, and how you treat Mother Earth herself! Change is inevitable, of course, but it's up to you, what that change looks like.

Monday, May 22, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 22, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. Sorry to do this (very rarely), but I am posting this, when an "alleged Suicide Bomber" detonated an explosive, outside a concert in Manchester, England. (And yes, I'm reporting on the Parallel [or Probability] that I'm in so, if anybody has evidence, to show me they are in a different Reality where this didn't occur, reach out to me in some way). But, in a rather unfortunate way, this keys in with our Theme, because, in an instant, a Music Concert was transformed into a Crime Scene, as well as a "Royal Mess"! At least 19 people (many innocent, but at one [or, possibly more] not) Transitioned, from living human beings, with relationships and careers, to an Afterlife where, the first thing needed is to figure out what just occurred, and why they're not relating well to Physical Reality! More were injured, many of whom will never feel safe in a concert again! In my opinion, if a living being hurts, a part of God (whatever your definition) hurts too!

Sunday, May 21, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 21, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. Hopefully, you won't feel the need to ask forgiveness for your personal Transformations. And a way to minimize that, is to strive for positive transformations (as opposed to, for example, "transforming" from a law abiding citizen into a criminal. That usually backfires). But no matter what, keep in mind that Change is always occurring!

Weekly Themes: Week of May 21-27, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Transition and Transformation.  Both of these include change, but possibly in different ways.  For example, Transition denotes change around you (like the transition from autumn to winter), yet Transformation is a "personal change".  And, in the second case, it's not only humans --  a caterpillar transforms into, either a butterfly or a moth.  In either case, this should be, quite an interesting week!

Saturday, May 20, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 20, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. Are you an Authentic person? (If you ever bought a plate from franklinmint.com, it would come with a Certificate of Authenticity). Now, with our Theme, I could ask if your "Project" came with such a Certificate. But, even more important: When you were born, did your parents get such a certificate? Why not?

Friday, May 19, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, May 19, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. Others, who experience your "project of the week" will need to Interpret it, so it makes sense to them. You, yourself had to do some Interpretation, so as to understand it, enough to work on it. And, of course, this matters, whether the project was "Precipitated" into your lap (i.e. assigned to you), or Initiated by you, yourself.

Thursday, May 18, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 18, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. Does Socialization help, in the completion of projects? Yes and no: It can, if you "bounce ideas off each other", while you are in contact (whether in person, or on a Social Network, such as Facebook). But, on the other hand, the socializing can become a distraction, especially if the topics discussed, are irrelevant to the project at hand. Balance is the important keyword here. In other words, "be Social", but don't go overboard.

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 17. 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. And most certainly, a project, whether assigned or self-initiated, requires a certain amount of concentration, at different times, to get to a proper conclusion. For example, a well known (and used) study aid is to focus your attention on the subject at hand, for a finite amount of time, without distractions. This is a good use of Concentration.

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 16, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability. So what makes a project Acceptable? Lawful? Ethical? Helpful to others? Educational? Those are some terms that, at least partly come to mind. What might be "easier", would be to describe "attributes", that might make a project Unacceptable: Criminal? Unethical? I have two examples, from the news, of unacceptable projects: Ponzi Scheme, and Computer Virus. Just keep this in mind, and be Acceptable.

Monday, May 15, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 15, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. It's always [at least usually] good to be Generous. But, in the context of our Themes, you have a Project, one way or another. Generosity, in this context, can even work in your favor. For example, if you are generous, about what you are offering, someone who you describe the project to, might know something that helps you to complete it. So, in this case, Generosity can work in both directions. Good luck!

Sunday, May 14, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 14, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. And what better thing to share, but a project you are working on, either dropped in your lap, like water out of the sky, or initiated by you, yourself? In my opinion, sharing is good, as long as it's not a communicable disease. That, you can keep to yourself!  :-)

Weekly Themes: Week of May 14-20, 2017

The Themes for this Week are Precipitation and Initiation.  Precipitation?  Like being caught in a rainstorm?  Like water (or snow) falling from the sky, a project may, at any time, drop right in your lap.  Our other Theme, Initiation suggests that, at times, you think of what you wish to accomplish, by yourself.  Either way, this is a project, which could consist of anything, from a report, assigned in school, to a building you plan to build, with a lot in between.  We will see, how this project fares, during this week!

Saturday, May 13, 2017

Words for the Day: Saturday, May 13, 2017

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. Our Theme, all week, has been Discovery. And, once you've made your Discovery, it's a good idea to get the "big picture" about it. And this "big picture view" includes an Overview, and gives you Perspective, as to what your Discovery is. And note, that this (getting the big picture view) helps, no matter *what* you are involved with.

Friday, May 12, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, May 12, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. Reflect a Discovery? [or] Discover a Reflection? I admit that I enjoyed when a friend, who owned a Puppy, let her "Discover" her Reflection in a mirror for the first time. I didn't think Female Dogs were supposed to pick fights, but she *sure* wanted to go after that "other dog"! Anyway, the other meaning for Reflection, is a "deep" sort of Review -- Almost like "meditating" on the topic at hand.

Thursday, May 11, 2017

Word for the Day: Thursday, May 11, 2017

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. So how do you Study a Discovery? (By Discovering a field of Study?) Actually, based on how many Scientists there are, out there, Discoveries are usually "personal discoveries", or "new, surprising or unexpected thing you didn't know before". So the first step, in "studying" your "discovery" is to look it up! My favorite tool is Google, but it's not the only thing out there. (Hmmm... I work for a Quantum Universe called the Eye Blink Universe -- But when I looked up Quantum Universe, Google wants me to purchase a book by that name, by Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw).

See, I'm doing some Study right now.  :-)

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 10, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. Absorb a Discovery? Discover Absorption itself? (i.e. finding a new Species of living Sponge)? Well, some discoveries, if they involve taking a while, looking at a living being in its environment, can be *quite* Absorbing to watch, for as long as you can avoid disturbing it. For example, I study insects, and like watching them interact with their environment. (Other people are Bird Watchers). Try it -- It's fun!

Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 9, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. So how does Review relate to Discovery (our Theme)? When you "Discover" something, you want to make sure you are "on the right track". (I most certainly admit that, more than once, I had "thought" I'd "discovered" something "important", only to see that I had been "on a Wild Goose Chase!) And reviewing what you discovered (and hopefully, yesterday, checked out, with some sort of Experimentation) is one, important step, in understanding the validity of your Discovery. Have fun, but be careful!

Monday, May 8, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 8, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. So, when you Discover something new, do you perform experiments, to see if "it" applies to you? This can be as simple as picking something up and looking at it. Does it fit in with your "usual mishmash" (that makes up daily life)? The answer might surprise you!

Sunday, May 7, 2017

Word for the Day: Sunday, May 7, 2017

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. Do you recognize the Discoveries you made, through your life? (And it can be as simple as Discovering someone you know about, but didn't know lived close to you). Happy Discoveries!

Weekly Theme: Week of May 7-13, 2017

The Theme for this Week is Discovery.  So what does it mean to Discover?  According to Google, it can mean to "find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search".  In the 1500's, some European countries used Ships to, at least "think" they were discovering the North American Continent.  In the 1800's, people used "Covered Wagons" to, from the East Coast, travel to, and "discover" the West Coast of (eventually) the United States. How does this apply to you?  You can Discover new things, about yourself, such as talents and abilities you might not have thought of.  (This can also work out, in "less happy" ways, when you "discover" a "bodily condition" you didn't know you had).  What do you plan to discover next?

Saturday, May 6, 2017

Word for the Day: Saturday, May 6, 2017

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. I Resolve to Choose, wisely the Locations I live in. And, guess what? From 1979 on, I *did* make, at least "mostly" informed choices about where I would move to. One of two things occurred: 1. In 3 cases, I had a "strong reason" to go to a discrete location (i.e. helping the General Manager of a Personal Growth Group, when he moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1979. Or, in mid-2003 and the end of 2004, where I "Relocated", for the computer firm I worked with). All three of these cases did *not* work out harmoniously, leading me to think more carefully, when future opportunities occur.

2. In four other cases, I *chose* to move, and took the time to research different Locations, that I "could" move to. These moves worked out *much* better.

Note: My "value judgements" are subjective, having to do with how I "felt", living in the different Locations I went to. In addition, there were two moves, where my "Career" went "downhill". When I look at this with a wider context, I agree that I learned a *lot* about myself, as well as how Reality works, using the experience of those three Locations I liked, "less" than the other places I lived. Take that in consideration.

Friday, May 5, 2017

Word for the Day: Friday, May 5, 2017

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Today, I will be bold enough to suggest that some Locations require Courage to live in. For example: Nome, Alaska; Bismark, North Dakota; and some states, such as Oklahoma, which has Tornadoes, almost every year. I would personally add a small town, in many rural states, which have little or no services (i.e. Post Office, and a small Convenience store), and perhaps 60 miles from the nearest Shopping Center. (Yes, I'm a City person!)

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Words for the Day: Thursday, May 4, 2017

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment. Can you be stronger in some Locations, than in others? Depends on Oxygen Level. And how can the Oxygen Level be different in some Locations, than in others? Plants! They generate Oxygen from Carbon Dioxide, via Photosynthesis. The practice, even in the 1800's, to Deforest parts of the United States, removes needed plants from the Environment, and jeopardizes the lives of *all* animals, including Human Beings. So how would one compensate, for less of a percentage of Oxygen in the air? Breathe deeply and often! Feel the Empowerment!

Wednesday, May 3, 2017

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 3, 2017

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. How does "Level of Competence" relate to your Location? Let me count the ways. You might be able to be competently Homeless, in certain locations, if there are resources around you, allowing you food, water, shelter, temperature control (which includes clothing, by the way), and security (which has different flavors, depending on where you are). If you are friendly with Planet Earth itself (i.e. follow practices of the Native Americans, Druids, and Pagans, to name a few), you might even be Competent to survive in a location, such as the Amazon River Basin.

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 2, 2017

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. Does Endurance work better in some Locations, than in others? Obviously, it is easier to endure some weather conditions than others. For example, on July 10, 1910, Death Valley, California reached 134.1 degrees (Fahrenheit). Likewise, on January 10, 1954, Rogers Pass, Montana fell to -70.6 degrees. I must admit that I would rate my endurance level to either one of those, in *Seconds*! (Yes: I know an Air Conditioned Space Suit might help. LOL!)

Monday, May 1, 2017

Word for the Day: Monday, May 1, 2017

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Location for Fertility? (LOL!) I guess there are locations, where the "usual definition" of Fertility might *not* be "considered appropriate". That said, I like to point out that Fertility has more than one meaning. For example, you can have a "fertile imagination".
