Words for the Day: Thursday, January 31, 2015

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. And, in my experience, one way to make a topic simpler (getting back to our theme), is to examine the big picture view, or "executive summary" of the topic.

Friday, January 30, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, January 30, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. At least two meanings: 1. What you see out of a mirror. 2. A deeper form of Review, such as, "I'm going to have to reflect on what occurred, earlier today". See, even definitions can be simple.

Thursday, January 29, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, January 29, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. Continuing with our Theme, some study aids are simpler than others. Two I like are Cliffs Notes, and the For Dummies books.

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, January 28, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is absorption. Simplification? What's simpler than a sponge?

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, January 27, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. Simplified Review? Actually, I believe that regular review of what's occurring in your life is one way to allow it to be simpler. It has to do with awareness.

Monday, January 26, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, January 26, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. Experiments in Simplification? Simplified Experimentation? When I had to simplify my life, it seemed to involve multiple experiments, as well as trial & error.

Sunday, January 25, 2015

Word for the Day: Sunday, January 25, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. And I definitely like to recognize when life HAS been simple enough to, just live. Why do we even NEED life, as complicated as it often seems. (For example, the state of politics, just as covered on the news, seems a LOT more complicated than it has to be).

Weekly Theme: Week of January 25-31, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Simplification.  What does it mean to be simple?  Not complex?  Not complicated?  Because I don't consider those two words (complex and complicated) to be the same, at all.  When I feel overwhelmed, simplifying my life is often useful.

Saturday, January 24, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, January 24, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. "I resolve to maintain my resolve". And (to bring in our Theme), resolve can give a person the strength to sacrifice what they need. (Often, an extremely common New Years Resolution is to sacrifice a bad habit, such as smoking, or excessive drinking).

Friday, January 23, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, January 23, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Sacrifice Courage? The Courage to Sacrifice? I like the second one better.

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Words for the Day: Thursday, January 22, 2015

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment. Just like yesterday, I would never suggest "sacrificing" these two traits. But being strong and empowered would definitely make unrelated sacrifices easier to do.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, January 21, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. And (bringing in the Theme) I MOST CERTAINLY am not suggesting sacrificing competence (the way corporations can do, when they use only "high salary" as the reason to lay off an employee). Instead, a trait that might help is to be competent to sacrifice, when needed.

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, January 20, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. Endure our sacrifices? Sacrifice our Endurance? (Some of these don't appear to go together as well as others). My suggestion, to develop, and maintain endurance, is Yoga.

Monday, January 19, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, January 19, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. So are we "supposed" to "sacrifice our fertility"? I don't think so. Especially, when referring to alternative fertility connotations, such as a fertile imagination. Instead (using the last example), sacrifice what stands in the way of a fertile imagination.

Sunday, January 18, 2015

Word for the Day: Sunday, January 18, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. And yes, more than once, I have sacrificed stability, to bring more adventure into my life.

Weekly Theme: Week of January 18-24, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Sacrifice.  What I got, plugging "define sacrifice" into Google, concentrated on the sacrifice of an animal, human, or possession, for religious purposes.  However, I personally remember, in my computer career, "sacrificing", multiple times, working hours for the good of the corporation I was working for.

Saturday, January 17, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, January 17, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release. Prophecy of Release? Depends on what you are being released from. Or, alternatively, the release might be from what's holding you back from the profession of prophecy.

Friday, January 16, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, January 16, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. And yes, if you plan to become a Prophet, aspire to be the best, that you can. (And this applies, no matter what you want, as a career).

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, January 15, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. And yes, I believe that there is a lot of contrast, in the profession of Prophet. (Remember, too much contrast, in your life can get scary, yet too little contrast can get boring).

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, January 14, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. Also meaning flexibility, this is a great trait for an intending Prophet (bringing in our Theme). The idea is to have a mental flexibility, to carefully examine any "data" you receive, before acting on it. Clearly, the best action might be to NOT pass "it" along, depending on what's around "it".

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Words for the Day: Tuesday, January 13, 2015

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. An agile and graceful prophet? Why not? Incidentally, I recommend Yoga, to develop these two attributes.

Monday, January 12, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, January 12, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated Prophecy? Why not. But be careful, when driving a car, because excessive acceleration has been known to result in speeding tickets.

Sunday, January 11, 2015

Words for the Day: Sunday, January 11, 2015

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance, both of which are wonderful traits to encourage, if getting into the practice of Prophecy.

Weekly Theme: Week of January 11-17, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Prophecy.  Since it generally means "divinely" predicting the future, I find a flaw, in the fact that it suggests that there is only one predictable future.  Where prophecy can be effective, is to show where changes can be made, to allow for more harmonious possibilities.

Saturday, January 10, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, January 10, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. First off, please note that it takes knowledge to acknowledge. And who am I acknowledging? Anybody who has helped me, to effectively live my life.

Friday, January 9, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, January 9, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. This is one of my favorite Words, and easily applied to people, challenged by Disabilities (our Theme). If even a significant portion of everyone performed acts of kindness, every day, our World would be MUCH better.

Thursday, January 8, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, January 8, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. The details, of who and/or what you encourage, can easily follow you around. In other words, be selective.

Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Word for the Day: Wednesday, January 7, 2015

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. This is an important Word, in its own right, as it simply means to think, before speaking and/or acting. But being thoughtful to people, challenged with disabilities is important, also.

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Word for the Day: Tuesday, January 6, 2015

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. We all need support, to make it through this lifetime. In addition, most (if not all) of us SHOULD be providing support to others. And if anybody close to you (or you, yourself) is challenged with a disability, you REALLY need support. (And often can find it, in foundations, regarding the name of the disability. For example, there are Autism support groups).

Monday, January 5, 2015

Word for the Day: Monday, January 5, 2015

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Comfort is a highly sought-after quality, which can, at times, be hard to find. And this goes especially for some people, who might be suffering from, often uncomfortable Disabilities.

Sunday, January 4, 2015

Word for the Day: Sunday, January 4, 2015

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment, which can be especially welcome to a person, who is affected by Disability.

Weekly Theme: Week of January 4-10, 2015

The Theme for this Week is Disability.  Since I don't find this an easy Theme to describe, I will ask for help from Wikipedia, which includes the following statement:  "Disability is the consequence of an impairment that may be physical, cognitive, mental, sensory, emotional, developmental, or some combination of these. A disability may be present from birth, or occur during a person's lifetime".

Anybody who has followed Michael Transits, for an extended time, remember that that the basis of these Themes and Words are, respectively, the Global Jobs and Community Responsibilities, from the Michael DNA Chart.

Finally, what is my take on Disability, whether it comes as a Global Job, or a Weekly Theme?  I feel that the best way to approach it, is through compassion, knowledge, and (especially if you are in the midst of it), resourcefulness.  For example, a person who has impaired hearing, is free to learn sign language, lip reading, or both.  And a person who wishes to be compassionate and helpful to the hearing impaired, can also learn sign language.

Saturday, January 3, 2015

Word for the Day: Saturday, January 3, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. Prosperity, through diplomacy? Well, if you are a competent, hard working, and conscientious employee of the diplomatic corps, especially going above and beyond the call of duty, you could become highly prosperous. In addition, diplomacy between nations can often result in periods of peace and (yes) prosperity, between them, so prosperity works in multiple ways here.

Friday, January 2, 2015

Word for the Day: Friday, January 2, 2015

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. So how could people be liberated, through Diplomacy? It happens all the time, with countries negotiating prisoner exchanges. In fact, if you have the ability to competently handle this PART of Diplomacy could make you popular in the field.

Thursday, January 1, 2015

Word for the Day: Thursday, January 1, 2015

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. And what better type of Diplomat, than a wise one?
