Weekly Theme: Week of 9/28 - 10/4/2014

The Theme for this Week is Archives.  An archive is a collection of historical documents or records.  And I'll add books, which means that a commonly used type of archive is a Public Library.  It will be interesting to see how the Words, that make up this week fit in with this Theme.

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 27, 2014

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. A strategy of prosperity? Yes, and a well-respected one: Complete school, hopefully with some element of College. Then, go find a job, and perform it conscientiously and competently. This sort of strategy SHOULD work fine, except that there CAN be other, overriding considerations, such as Office Politics.

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. A strategy of liberation? I'm sure those in prison have been known to have such a thing. But you can replace the word "prison" with any sort of limitation you have, in life.

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. A strategy of wisdom? For one thing, I consider that life experience is what makes one wise. And life experience is where strategy is learned, and applied.

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. A "strategy" of impartiality? I would define that as "putting away, at least temporarily, my 'Rose Colored Glasses'". In other words, allowing myself to honestly consider another point of view.

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. And yes, any strategy could easily carry a consequence. But, I submit that a LACK of strategy is likely to carry a more severe consequence.

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination. A strategy of Elimination? That might be a strategy to lose weight. It also might be a strategy to simplify a life. Or Elimination might be used to eliminate, what stands in the way of a good strategy. These Words and Themes work together in many ways.

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  And this is quite important, with our Theme, as you don't want to give your strategy away, to too many others, especially if you use the example of Chess, like I did. 

Weekly Theme: Week of September 21-27, 2014

The Theme for this Week is Strategy.  I used to play Chess (and still occasionally do, especially against computerized opponents).  There are two parts, to winning a chess game:  Strategy and Tactics.  Strategy is a high-level goal, including, in chess the highest level goal of defeating the enemy King.  But, to get there, keep in mind the lower level strategies, such as controlling the middle of the chess board, and keeping your pawns connected.  On the other hand, tactics are things to watch for, to be able to win the game.  For example, look for weaknesses in the opposing player's position, as well as looking for combinations, that allow you to gain material, such as the ability to win unprotected pieces.

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. In my opinion, Spiritual Expansion is not only awesome, but quite useful. However, expanding your "middle", due to a lot of delicious items in your diet, perhaps less so. Be careful and have a great weekend.

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. Trust God and have Faith in the Universe. Simple as that. Other people? That's where tools can be useful, to discern if the person you are "trusting" warrants it. And faith? Please don't take away its eyesight, because Blind Faith can cause issues.

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. Now I find THIS useful, no MATTER what reality I am in. On the one hand, I can be thankful, for the vision of an interesting alternative reality (say, in a dream), but on the other hand, I can also be thankful, to make it "home" safely. The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. I find some forms of Equality "useful" [theme], such as equal opportunity. But there is a less useful version, that can feel quite uncomfortable, called "forced conformity".

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. "Discretion in practical matters"? Seems like a "useful" definition. Just don't go overboard and turn into a Prude.

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. Useful AND Innocent? Due to rules (or even laws, in some places), as well as common biases, it can become harder to BE useful, after being guilty, especially of a felony. Sad, but true, as it makes it harder to rehabilitate yourself. (Note: one of the Words that makes up this Friday is Trust, which is a reason for this).

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  And why would anyone feel the need to ask forgiveness, for being useful?  If they were convinced they were, like me as a child, in the way, then maybe.  Where I would feel I need forgiveness, might be if I prevented somebody else from being useful.

The Theme for this Week is Usefulness.  What does it mean to be useful?  No, seriously!   :-)   (As a child, I was frequently "considered" to be "in the way", when I attempted to be useful, in my home environment).

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. For instance (and to get back to our Themes), Economy is subject to interpretation, which depends on the perspective of the person interpreting it. For example, an ultra-rich person would interpret economy differently from someone, attempting to "make do", with only a minimum wage job.

Weekly Themes: Week of September 7-13, 2014

The Themes for this Week are Economy and Practicality.  Economy has many meanings, but the one related to Frugality comes closest to Practicality.  In the Michael Teachings, this relates to the seven Roles in Essence.  In particular, these Themes make up a combination of the Roles Warrior and Sage. 

As we start this week, the second Role (Sage) will interact with all seven Roles, beginning with Server, and ending with King.  And then, next Sunday, we get to explore another Theme.  Simple as that!

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. So how do these intertwine with Organization (our Theme)? A major kind of Organization is a Corporation, which many people work for, me included. Today's Words relate to me personally, by the way, which meant I was always interested in "the Big Picture", when I was working. Not all work locations liked this, however. Many told me I was "getting sidetracked" when, for example, the computers went down while we, the employees, were attempting to work on them.

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. Organized Review? That's probably the best kind, where you write out the topics you want to review before you, say, sit in a relaxed position with a Journal, to gain clarity on those topics. And note that the scope of a Review can vary. For example, if you experience something unexpected, it's a good idea to find someplace to sit down, so you can review the experience, right on the spot. But then, you can review your day, before falling asleep, and multiple spiritual teachings discuss the topic of Life Review.
