Word for the Day: Sunday, June 30, 2019

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  Recognize my Retention?  [or]  Retaining what I Recognize?  (That one appears to work a bit better).  This marks the beginning of an Educational Week.  Retaining what you learn helps a lot.

Weekly Theme: Week of 6/30 - 7/06/2019

The Theme for this Week is Retention.  Do you Retain what you learn?  Your life goes much better if you do.  But anyway, this is, in effect, an Academic Week.  Enjoy!

Saturday, June 29, 2019

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 29, 2019

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.  "I Resolve to Preserve my Resolve".  (Okee dokee).  One reminder I have, is that Resolutions can be made anytime.  Not just during the New Year.

Friday, June 28, 2019

Word for the Day: Friday, June 28, 2019

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Preserving Courage?  [or]  Courage to Preserve?  (Not the same!)  But how about the Courage to Say  "No"?  In my opinion, that's an important Courage to Preserve.

Thursday, June 27, 2019

Words for the Day: Thursday, June 27, 2019

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you know your own Strength?  Do you feel Empowered?  Can you Preserve this?  How?  (Of course, Fitness Clubs come to mind, featuring, as just one example, Weight Training.  But don't overlook some other possibilities, such as Yoga).  One more thing:  Keep Fun in the mix.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 26, 2019

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence.  Preserving Competence?  (Keeping up to date in your chosen field makes sense, especially if it's a technical one).  [or]  Competent to Preserve?  (This is a big one, which depends on what is being Preserved).  But what is  *really*  important, is to be Competent to Be Yourself!

Tuesday, June 25, 2019

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 25, 2019

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance.  Enduring Preservation?  [or]  Preserving Endurance?  (Second makes more sense).  But how about Developing or Maintaining Endurance?  Health Clubs?  (Sure).  Yoga?  (Absolutely!)  And Good Luck!

Monday, June 24, 2019

Word for the Day: Monday, June 24, 2019

The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility.  Preservation through Fertility?  Well, you  *do*  Preserve the Human Race, by being  "Fruitful and Multiplying".  But remember, that there are more than one meaning to Fertility.  For example, you can have a Fertile Imagination, something to shoot for.

Sunday, June 23, 2019

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 23, 2019

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability.  Preserving Stability?  Yes, but!  Change is important, also.  So keep this in mind, and be Selective.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 23-29, 2019

The Theme for this Week is Preservation.  Preserve?  You mean, to "maintain (something) in its original or existing state"?  Okay.  So what is this "something" that we Preserve?  If it's Life, this often doesn't work.  Like, for example, the "original state" of a Bird is its Egg.  But Eggs don't fly.  So this is a Theme, that requires more understanding.

Saturday, June 22, 2019

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 22, 2019

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Release.  Release  *from*  Analysis?  (Hope not).  But Release from, what stands in the  *way*  of effective Analysis?  (Sure).  In general, when you feel Stuck, look for the  "Release Lever".  It should be in Plain Sight.

Friday, June 21, 2019

Word for the Day: Friday, June 21, 2019

The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration.  Obviously, the Medical connotations of Aspiration need careful Analysis, to make sure nothing goes wrong.  But I like the other meaning of Aspiration, where I Aspire to be the Best that I can be.  That may also involve Analysis, of course.

Thursday, June 20, 2019

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 20, 2019

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast.  Analyzing Contrast?  Sure.  I can see how a Balance is best, because too little Contrast can seem Boring, yet too much Contrast can get, downright Scary.  The Key is Balance, even in other Topics.

Wednesday, June 19, 2019

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 19, 2019

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability.  Adaptable Analysis?  (Not sure...)  But one thing I'm sure of, is the connection between Adaptability and Flexibility, both of which can help, in your Life.

Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Words for the Day: Tuesday, June 18, 2019

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace.  Gracefully Analyze Agility?  (Hmmm...)  Well, why don't we Analyze how one Develops  (and Maintains)  Agility and Grace?  Two things come to mind:  Walking the Labyrinth  (Google it!),  and Yoga.  And the best part?  Both of those activities can be fun.

Monday, June 17, 2019

Word for the Day: Monday, June 17, 2019

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration.  Accelerated Analysis?  (Google gives 108,000,000 hits).  One thing to be cautious of is, of course, excessive Acceleration of a "Motor Vehicle".  While this may  "feel good"  [I've been there],  the potentially resulting Speeding Ticket can eliminate all sense of fun.  Just be careful.

Sunday, June 16, 2019

Words for the Day: Sunday, June 16, 2019

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance.  And, with the detailed nature of Analysis, both Words are important:  Patience, because a detailed approach takes time,  and Tolerance because, since Analysis gives the Truth, that might now be what you originally envisioned, when you began the Analysis.  And have fun.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 16-22, 2019

The Theme for this Week is Analysis.  Google defines it as the "detailed examination of the elements or structure of something".  Examine what?  Well, folks, that is for us to determine.  So, one way or another, this looks to be, quite an interesting week!

Saturday, June 15, 2019

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 15, 2019

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement.  Acknowledging your Archives?  Well, you can certainly acknowledge the importance of Public Libraries.  And please note, that it takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!

Friday, June 14, 2019

Word for the Day: Friday, June 14, 2019

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.  Kindness to Archives?  (Yes, be Kind inside of Public Libraries).  But don't stop there:  Since Kindness helps the World go around, Random Acts of Kindness are highly recommended.

Thursday, June 13, 2019

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 13, 2019

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.  Encourage your Archive (or Public Library)?  I'll leave that to your Imagination, but consider that Attention (you just showing up, reading their books and interacting with their Staff) is a good part of this.  And have fun!

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 12, 2019

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.  Are you Thoughtful, when in an Archive?  Let's rephrase this.  Do you behave yourself  (i.e. are you quiet),  when in your local Pubic Library?  It's not hard to be Thoughtful:  Just Think, before you Speak and/or Act.  This should improve your life.

Tuesday, June 11, 2019

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 11, 2019

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  Supporting Archives?  (Well, you  *do*  have a Public Library, don't you?)  But there is more to today's Word.  Look up (i.e. via Google)  "Michael Teachings Support Circle".  You have one.  You are, likely part of the Circles of other people.  Live and learn.

Monday, June 10, 2019

Word for the Day: Monday, June 10, 2019

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.  Are your Archives Comfortable?  Translation:  Does your Public Library have comfortable chairs in its Reading Rooms?  When I visit an unfamiliar City, I often enjoy visiting their Public Library, and am astounded at how many things all these Libraries have in common with each other.

Sunday, June 9, 2019

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 9, 2019

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  Nourishing Archives?  (I guess, if you're a Termite).  But think of it this way:  When you are reading good books, you are Nourishing your Mind.  So, after Nourishing your Body with a good meal, take time to read a good Book.  You may find it more rewarding than watching TV.

Weekly Theme: Week of June 9-15, 2019

The Theme for this Week is Archives.  So what does Google say about this?  It says that Archives are "a collection of historical documents or records providing information about a place, institution, or group of people".  And what do we have, in our Daily Lives, close to this?  How about our Public (as well as Private and Academic) Libraries?  They may not seem like much, until you use one or more of them for a Research Project.  For example, I did a project on San Francisco History at the San Francisco Main Public Library once, and was quite impressed at their Resources.  Try it sometime.

Saturday, June 8, 2019

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 8, 2019

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Strategy for Prosperity?  (Yes, at least in some cases).  Now, it is true that that some things are outside your control (like if a specific Corporation hires you, for example).  However, some things  *are*  in your Control, such as adding to Savings, instead of piling on Debt.  Live Long and Prosper!

Friday, June 7, 2019

Word for the Day: Friday, June 7, 2019

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  Liberation from making Strategies?  (Not a good idea!)  But Liberation from things, that cause trouble in your life?  (Yes!)  Also, Liberation from the Boxes that you might "think" you are Stuck in.  Liberate yourself!

Thursday, June 6, 2019

Word for the Day: Thursday, June 6, 2019

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Strategy?  (The best kind!)  An obvious question, is how one develops Wisdom?  Things likely discussed are the "right" books to read, or Weekend Seminars to attend.  But what people miss, is that a lot of Wisdom comes from Life Experience.  Just something to keep in mind.

Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Word for the Day: Wednesday, June 5, 2019

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  Strategy of Impartiality?  (Why not?)  [or]  An Impartial Strategy?  (Not as clear to me).  So where do you find Impartiality?  I'll start with one place you  *don't*  find it:  The News!  No matter what those Newspapers, as well as TV Channels tell you, every Newscaster, as well as their Managers have Opinions, which come through their reportage.  That's why you need to do your own Research, to get through that, to something, close to the actual Truth.

Tuesday, June 4, 2019

Word for the Day: Tuesday, June 4, 2019

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Consequences for forming Strategies?  (Afraid so).  But I suggest, that there are also Consequences, perhaps more substantial, for  *refusing*  to form Strategies.  And consider, that  NO Strategy is, surprisingly a Strategy in itself.  Think about it.

Monday, June 3, 2019

Word for the Day: Monday, June 3, 2019

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminating Strategy?  (Please, no!)  But making Strategies for Eliminating, what doesn't work in your Life?  Awesome!

Sunday, June 2, 2019

Word for the Day: Sunday, June 2, 2019

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  And a Strategy of Self-Reliance is fine, but shouldn't be the only one, because you are  *not*  alone in this World.  So also develop a Strategy of effectively working with others.  As well as a Strategy of having fun!

Weekly Theme: Week of June 2-8, 2019

The Theme for this Week is Strategy.  What does Google say?  "A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim".  So if there was a task, recommended for this coming week, I would suggest coming up with an overall Strategy for your Life.   Will this be easy?  For some, yes (who think in those terms), but for others, perhaps not.   One hint:  If you play the Game of Chess, Strategy is an important Game Topic.  That will help.

Saturday, June 1, 2019

Word for the Day: Saturday, June 01, 2019

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  When is it Useful to Expand?  In my opinion, Spiritual, and even Intellectual Expansion is  *quite*  Useful.  However, Expansion around the middle of the Human Body, usually because of excessive food intake, is less Useful.  Be Selective.
