Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 31, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.  Supporting Cultivation?  [or]  Cultivating Support?  (Not the same, either!)  But I  *do*  recommend that you find your Support Group  (as well as Groups that you Support).

Monday, March 30, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, March 30, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Cultivating Comfort?  (Why not?)  How about Comfort, while Cultivating something else  (i.e. acquiring or developing a Skill)?  Being Comfortable is key to all of this.  And stay healthy!

Sunday, March 29, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 29, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.  And what could be better, than to Cultivate a Nourishing (and hopefully Delicious) Meal?  For some reason, these Words go together well.  And Enjoy!

Weekly Theme: Week of March 29 - April 4, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Cultivation.  To Cultivate or not to Cultivate:  That is the Question.  But what does this mean?  Google says that to Cultivate is to "prepare and use (land) for crops or gardening", or to "try to acquire or develop (a quality, sentiment, or skill)".  Quite a Mouthful.  Now, I went through a good part of my life, only knowing the first definition, but I think the second one (i.e. Develop a Skill) is extremely important.  Let's see how this works, this week.

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 28, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.  Choice to be Prosperous?  Why not?  By your Attitude towards Money  (and other forms of Prosperity),  you are, constantly making Choices, on how you are going to Manifest, for example, either Lack or Plenty.  And one, Concrete Example:  If you act, as if there is a Shortage of Money, you will, often Experience that Shortage.  So, why not Believe in an Abundance of Prosperity?

Friday, March 27, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, March 27, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  Liberation from making Choices?  (Please no!)  But Liberation from, what stands in the way of making good Choices makes good sense.  Also, you can Choose to be Liberated.  Think about it.

Thursday, March 26, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 26, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Choice?  (The best kind!)  And you could also talk about A Choice to be Wise.  Right now, I feel  "Sadder, but Wiser",  based partly on current events, including Health-related Events.  I hope you are all doing okay.

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 25, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.  The Choice to be Impartial?  [or]  An Impartial Choice?  (The first may be what a News Caster tries to make.  The Second may be something that sounds good, but never actually occurs).  The problem, is that we are typically Partial to  *Something*.  Even News Correspondents, no matter how hard they try, will be Partial to some Viewpoint, in their News.  Good luck, folks!

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 24, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Are there Consequences to making Choices?  (Of Course!)  But I submit, that acting like you Don't Have a Choice  (which I will call a  "Choice by Default")  has, even more  *DIRE*  Consequences.  Think about it!

Monday, March 23, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, March 23, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  And, no, I do  *not*  suggest that we Eliminate Choice, though some  (i.e. Dictators) might want this.  Instead, we want to Eliminate, what stands in the Way of making Informed Choices, especially Fear, which often Denigrates choices, that could actually work.  For example, some people never go  "into the Woods",  because of an extreme fear of Snakes.  Now, I've had quite a bit of fun Hiking, and even found some friendly Snakes to play with.  On the other hand, being knowledgeable, but not fearful, I avoided a Rattlesnake on one Hike.

Sunday, March 22, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 22, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Choice.  The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.  Self-Reliant Choices?  [or]  Choice to be Self-Reliant?  (Actually, I like both!)  And since All Life is made of Choices, make the best ones!

Weekly Theme: Week of March 22-28, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Choice.  All life is Choice, whether you take advantage of them or (worst case scenario) give someone else control over your Choices.  But what if someone tells you, "You have no Choice"?  Actually, your Choice, at that time, has everything to do with your continued relationship with the person who said that.  Because there is  No Such Thing as having "no Choice".

Saturday, March 21, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 21, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.  Expansive Transition?  [or]  Transformation to something Big?  I won't say much more, except to hope that all Your Transformations be Awesome ones!

Friday, March 20, 2020

Words for the Day: Friday, March 20, 2020

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  Trust your Transition?  Have Faith in your Transformation?  Both?  But I  *do*  have a Rule of Thumb on Trust:  It's fine to Trust God and the Universe.  However, ordinary people need to Earn Trust.  Also, Faith should not be Blind.

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 19, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  Grateful for my Transformations?  (Absolutely!)  And, in my opinion, Gratitude helps the World go around.  So what are  *YOU*  Grateful for?

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 18, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.  An Equal Transition?  (In Employment, that could be called a  "Lateral Career Move".  Sometimes good, Sometimes bad).  But with Transformation, don't shoot for Equality, shoot for Awesomeness.  And never forget that there are good and bad connotations to Equality.  In my opinion, Equal Opportunity is great, but Forced Conformity is not.

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 17, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  Prudent Transformation?  (Hopefully!)  Since Prudence has to do with Practicality, it makes a good policy.  However, don't go overboard and  "turn into a Prude".

Monday, March 16, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, March 16, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.  Innocent Transition?  [or]  Transformation to Innocence?  (Both have their place).  But how about an Innocent Transformation?  Into something Awesome?  Let that sink in for a bit.

Sunday, March 15, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 15, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.  So would we ever have to ask Forgiveness for our Transformations?  Maybe occasionally like, for example, if we decide  (for some odd reason)  to Transform from a Law Abiding Citizen to a Criminal.  Trust me, you won't like the results of  *that*  one either!  But how about if we Transition to Having Fun?

Weekly Themes: Week of March 15-21, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Transition and Transformation.  Now, we go through Transitions every day.  (The day  *itself*  goes through Transitions like, for example, from Afternoon to Evening).  Likewise, our Lives are a sequence of Transformations.  For example, we all will Transform (or have Transformed), from a Teenager to an Adult.  See, there's nothing too strange to our Themes this Week.  The Key, in my opinion, is not to Resist these Transitions and Transformations.  Let them occur.  And some of them can be fun.

Saturday, March 14, 2020

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 14, 2020

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.  An Authentic Project?  (Complete with a Certificate, like those Plates sold on TV?)  The problem is, that things that matter are not likely to have those  "Certificates".  It's up to you to determine what's Authentic and what's not.  And how about you?  Are  *you*  Authentic?  The answer might surprise you.

Friday, March 13, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, March 13, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  Today, I want to concentrate on one of the  "Theme Words",  Precipitation.  For example, when I asked Google to  "Interpret"  (i.e. Define)  Precipitate,  I got a response that surprised me:  "Cause  (an event or situation, typically one that is bad or undesirable)  to happen suddenly, unexpectedly, or prematurely".  And what is going on in the News right now?

Thursday, March 12, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 12, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  If someone (or some group) is excited about a Project they are working on, they want to tell others about it.  And this can lead to Social Contact.  Now, Social Contact can occur in many ways, including on Facebook and Twitter.  However, Telephone contact, and in-person meetings add a Friendly angle to all of this.  What do you think?

Wednesday, March 11, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 11, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  A Concentrated Project?  (Just add water).  But this Word can be approached in a different way: "You get what you Concentrate on". And this works in multiple ways.  For example, if you Concentrate on Lack and Misfortune, what are you likely to find in your Life?  Yes.  Be careful!

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 10, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.  Acceptable Project?  (I hope so!)  But there is an, even better Question to ask:  Are you Acceptable to yourself?  The Answer may surprise you.

Monday, March 9, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, March 9, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  Generous Projects?  (Yes, the best kind!)  But Generosity stands by itself as, in my opinion, it helps the World go around.  And be Generous to yourself.

Sunday, March 8, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 8, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  No matter how a Project is started, you have it to do.  Why not Share in the process?  But be considerate!  For example, as a Child, my Parents weren't happy, when I asked them to  *do*  my Homework for me!  (However, giving assistance was often a different story).

Weekly Themes: Week of March 8-14, 2020

The Themes for this Week are Precipitation and Initiation.  Precipitation?  Like what falls out of the Sky?  In this case, a Project may "fall into your Lap!"  Or, alternatively, you may Initiate the Project yourself.  So, the point is, that Projects may start in many ways.  You might think of it yourself, and "Initiate" it.  Or, especially in Academic settings, the Project may be Assigned  *to*  you, which fits Precipitation better.  Either way, you have a Project.  Have fun with it!

Saturday, March 7, 2020

Words for the Day: Saturday, March 7, 2020

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  When you make a Discovery, it is a good idea to get the "big picture" view of it, so that you can understand it better.  And Perspective is a good thing to have, any time!

Friday, March 6, 2020

Word for the Day: Friday, March 6, 2020

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  Discovering your Reflection (say, in a Mirror?  Should have occurred, fairly early in your life!)  [or]  Reflecting on a Discovery?  Back to the first one, it can be fun, watching a Dog, acting crazy in front of a Reflection that, surprisingly (to him/her) seems to copy everything it does!  But, even as an adult, Interacting with your Reflection can be fun.

Thursday, March 5, 2020

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 5, 2020

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  Studying your Discoveries?  [or]  Discovering Fields of Study?  (This time, both sides sound, almost equally good!)  Speaking of  "Fields of Study",  be Selective because, otherwise, you can get Overwhelmed by how many Choices there are!  If there is Counseling available,  I recommend you take advantage of it.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 4, 2020

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  Absorbing a Discovery?  (Depends on what you Discovered!)  But what  *can*  you Absorb?  The Conversation around you?  (Ears open, mouth shut, learning on.  At least that's the way I heard it).  Soothing Balms?  (Aloe Vera comes to mind).  Research this Word:  It has many facets to it.

Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 3, 2020

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  Reviewing your Discovery?  Absolutely!  Your Discovery means more, if you stay with it, through Recognition and Review.  But Review is also useful at other times also, from Reviewing your Shopping Trips, Reviewing your Day, to see how effective it was, all the way to Reviewing your Lifetime.  An All-Purpose Word.

Monday, March 2, 2020

Word for the Day: Monday, March 2, 2020

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Experimental Discovery?  (Hmmm...)  [or]  Discovering your Experiments?  (Better).  One of my  "Discoveries",  has been how Experimental Life can be.  So my suggestion is to  "Go for it"  and, consciously, see how your life can go, when you live your life, experimentally.  Also, be sure to include Fun in your life.

Sunday, March 1, 2020

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 1, 2020

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.  Recognizing your Discoveries?  Absolutely.  When you Discover something, Make a note of it!  You never know, when it can come in handy.  And, above all, Recognize yourself, when you look in a Mirror.

Weekly Theme: Week of March 1-7, 2020

The Theme for this Week is Discovery.  Unfortunately, Google uses the root of Discovery in its definition:  "The act ... of ... being Discovered".  However, "Define Discover" looks better:  "find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search".  So, for example, Columbus "Discovered America".  (In that case, he was "searching for something", but "unexpectedly" found what he did).  So, what can  *you*  find, unexpectedly, this week?
