Word for the Day: Thursday, March 31, 2016

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. A "certain amount" of contrast is actually healthy. The actual amount depends on the person, of course. Because too little contrast can seem boring, yet too much contrast can get, downright scary at times.

Wednesday, March 30, 2016

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 30, 2016

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. Another word for this is Flexibility, and these traits are quite healthy, in my opinion, because stress comes from IN-flexibility, and illness is "assisted" by stress.

Tuesday, March 29, 2016

Words for the Day: Tuesday, March 29, 2016

The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. Both of these are extremely healthy traits to bring to yourself. I recommend Yoga, to get there. Good luck!

Monday, March 28, 2016

Word for the Day: Monday, March 28, 2016

The Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Accelerated health? Of course! Probiotics come to mind. And Holistic Living? Where do we begin?

Sunday, March 27, 2016

Words for the Day: Sunday, March 27, 2016

The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. A well known cause of illness is chronic stress. First off, true neutral toleration of certain amounts of stress, can be quite healthy. And Patience, is not only "a virtue", but an antidote to stress. Stay healthy, folks!

Weekly Theme: Week of March 27 to April 2, 2016

The Theme for this Week is Health.  What does it mean to be healthy?  Conventional doctors tend to concentrate on only two versions of health:  Physical and Mental health.  However, when you get to the Holistic Health fields, two other "types" of Health are considered:  Emotional health, and Spiritual health.  One of these are well known, because emotional stress is stress, and the body has difficulty handling regular stress, regardless of origin.  (Note that the operative word is "regular", also known as "chronic" stress.  If you can recover from temporary stress, back to a state of "calm", you have an opportunity to remain healthy).

Saturday, March 26, 2016

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 26, 2016

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Just like, last Thursday, it took "courage to encourage", it takes "knowledge to acknowledge". And, when you've received help from someone, it can be a form of service, to return the favor by acknowledging the help.

Friday, March 25, 2016

Word for the Day: Friday, March 25, 2016

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. And what better service to provide, than just being kind? There shouldn't even be a reason: Just do it!

Thursday, March 24, 2016

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 24, 2016

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. It takes courage to encourage. But, sometimes more importantly, it also takes courage to withhold that encouragement if, for example, you don't like what you see, with the person in question. Sometimes, "just say No" is the best service you can do, even for the one you might, otherwise have encouraged.

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 23, 2016

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Thinking, before speaking and/or acting can actually be a service in itself. It means you will only "apply yourself", when it really matters (as opposed, for example, to taking action, based on a misunderstanding, due to not having taken the time to think things through). I've been watching the news today, and can see, in the United States Presidential campaign, many examples of people speaking, without the appearance, that they thought things through. For just one example, Donald Trump suggests stopping any people, of the Islamic Faith, from entering the United States. When you think it through, it doesn't make sense.

Tuesday, March 22, 2016

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 22, 2016

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support. Support, of many types can be considered "being of Service". Even "Moral Support", where you indicate that you are on the same side as somebody else, even if you aren't in a position to take physical (or financial) action. And note that Support isn't always on an individual level, but can be on a National level, such as what's in today's news.

Monday, March 21, 2016

Word for the Day: Monday, March 21, 2016

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Service of providing comfort? How about people who work at Hotels? And a subset of those, working at retirement centers? In general, comfort is highly looked for, but often hard to find.

Sunday, March 20, 2016

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 20, 2016

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment. And what better service to somebody, than to provide them a nourishing meal? (And yes, some of these Words go well with their corresponding Themes. Some are more challenging).

Weekly Theme: Week of March 20-26, 2016

The Theme for this Week is Service.  How does one be of service?  Really?  Like when I was a child, I "tried" to help, many times, but often "just got in the way".  This implies, that knowledge must be part of service, to know how to  really  be  of service.  In some cases, one can, actually get into trouble for "trying to help", if what you are attempting to do, requires certification.  (Like trying to treat an injury, above and beyond "first aid", and getting accused of "practicing medicine, without a license").  See a Wikipedia Article about "practicing, without a licence".  So know what you can do, to help, and you can be even  better  help.

Sunday, March 20, 2016 Marks a New Michael Year. Happy New Year!

Pick up the PDF of the Michael Year Calendar, at this link, thanks to Barbara Taylor. When reading it, begin at number 344 (the second entry), as this is the beginning of the "Lesser Michael Year, Love". (The Greater Michael Year, Truth began on Sunday, April 12, 2015. And note that a Michael Year always begins on a Sunday. The Third Lesser Michael Year will be coming up, 343 days from now.

A project that I am working on, is a tool, to make it easier to find out what future (or past) Words and/or Themes were.  The file I'm passing on, is the Michael DNA Chart which, in effect, gives attributes to the 1029 parts of a Human Body (also known as an "Entity", in the Michael Teachings).

More to come!

Saturday, March 19, 2016

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 19, 2016

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. There has been a "theory" out there, for the last several (many) decades, that completing projects makes you prosperous. Unfortunately, there is good news and bad news. SOMEBODY gets prosperous. Perhaps not the person, who did the "grunt work", but maybe a top manager, instead? I know this is not the way things are "supposed" to work, but here we are: Take a look at the corporations around you, and see who prospers, from the hard work, that employees do. Something needs to change.

Friday, March 18, 2016

Word for the Day: Friday, March 18, 2016

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. So would this be about, say, "liberation from a project (that you might have disliked)"? Or could it be, that the completion of the project _is_ what liberates you? Think about it.

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 17, 2016

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. Wisdom to Complete? Or Complete Wisdom? On the first, sometimes the wise thing is to determine that the project wasn't the best idea in the first place, and let it go. (But often, the wise thing to do, is to spend the time and energy to complete it). But how would we define complete wisdom? One way I look at it, is that wisdom comes, mainly from life experience. A percentage, of course, can come from study (i.e. reading books, and attending classes), but when you experience the "Why", behind some action, or lack thereof, it tends to stick with you better.

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 16, 2016

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality. Imagine how much, people seek out Complete, Total Impartiality, in their news. Guess what we do NOT have? (You guessed it: Impartial news!) So, is it wrong for us to seek this out? I seek it, in myself, first. In other words, a true, "zero-based" neutrality. It's something that I have trouble describing to others, because everybody has their own "rose colored glasses" to look out of. (For example, if you're in the political "right", you see where you are, on the "Right, Center, Left" axis, and a certain amount past it. But anything, too far away from you, is likely to be hard to perceive. The place I remember seeing it, which got me to study the topic of Perspective in general, was the phenomenon of Ralph Nader, in the 2000 Presidential Election. He stated that it made "no difference, whether we voted Bush or Gore". We got Bush. Huge difference, from my "view" of how a Gore Presidency would have looked).

Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 15, 2016

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence. Now I will be the first to admit that completing projects include consequences. (It depends on the details of the project, of course). But ponder this: Forever leaving projects incomplete can also invite consequences. (And yes, it also depends on the details of the project, as well as what resources are, or were put into the incomplete project).

Monday, March 14, 2016

Word for the Day: Monday, March 14, 2016

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Now, what is the best way to eliminate those pesky, unfinished projects, you have been concerned about?  (And I'm going out on a limb, that most people have unfinished projects in their lives).  Well, there's one absolutely fantastic way to eliminate the project:  Complete it! Doesn't that sound simple?

Sunday, March 13, 2016

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 13, 2016

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance. Complete self-reliance? Or self-reliance to complete projects? I like the first, actually, since it implies being a complete human being.

Weekly Theme: Week of March 13-19, 2016

The Theme for this Week is Completion.  Have you completed any projects, recently?  How does it feel?  Actually, I find it feels pretty good.  But are there some projects you sincerely do not want to complete?  Some people might put their lifetime in that category.  But still, wouldn't you want your lifetime to count for something?

Saturday, March 12, 2016

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 12, 2016

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion. Expansive Vision? Vision of Expansion? Be careful of the second one: While I fully encourage mental and/or spiritual expansion, physical expansion of the human body, for example by eating lots of delicious foods might provide results, possibly not your first choice.

Friday, March 11, 2016

Words for the Day: Friday, March 11, 2016

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith. In my opinion, these couple with our Theme, differently. Absolutely trust your Vision (say, of the Universe), though with the flexibility to re-assess, if you see new information. However, Faith should not be blind. Proper vision can help keep your faith honest, in other words.

Thursday, March 10, 2016

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 10, 2016

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude. Vision of Gratitude? Gratitude _For_ a Vision (that you may have received)? I'd say both. I can't thank Essence (aka Whole Self, Inner Self, Guardian Angels, Flying Spaghetti Monsters, etc), for all the Visions, Dreams and Life Experience I've gotten the last several years! And how much help other physical (and non-physical) people have provided me? I can't do justice to any of this!

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 9, 2016

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality. Equal Vision? (It helps if the sight, in your two eyes complement each other. And there can be disorders, where they do not). How about a Vision of Equality? Mine contains aspects, such as Equal Opportunity, but discourages practices, such as "forced conformity".

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 8, 2016

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence. Okay, here comes the usual drill: Would this be a Vision of Prudence, or a Prudent Vision? The latter could mean, that we keep practicality in mind, even when visualizing what we want, in our future.

Monday, March 7, 2016

Word for the Day: Monday, March 7, 2016

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence. So would this be an Innocent Vision, or a Vision of Innocence? So what WOULD a vision of innocence look? Hopefully different from a vision of guilt? (Actually, my "favorite usage" of Innocence, relates to the "Innocence of little kids").

Sunday, March 6, 2016

Word for the Day: Sunday, March 6, 2016

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness. I sure hope I don't need to ask forgiveness for my Vision, unless a lack, thereof causes me to bump into you. :-)

So what does Forgiveness mean, anyway? If we turn the word over, we get, in effect, Give Forth, which I interpret to mean "Give Forth Love", which I personally consider the REAL definition for Forgiveness.

Weekly Theme: Week of March 6-12, 2016

The Theme for this Week is Vision.  How good is your vision?  Are you nearsighted?  Farsighted?  Do you have Astigmatism?  (I do, in my left eye, correctable with glasses, but not serious enough to require wearing them all the time).  But now, how about your Inner Vision?  How do you see your life path, for example?  I took a look at "define vision", on Google.  Besides the usual "ability to see" definition, there is one, that I find interesting: "an experience of seeing someone or something in a dream or trance, or as a supernatural apparition".  How many of you have had Visions of this kind?  (Feel free to comment).

Saturday, March 5, 2016

Word for the Day: Saturday, March 5, 2016

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. So how do you tell an Authentic Union, from a "counterfeit one"? Do Unions come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", like those Dinner Plates, from the Franklin Mint do? And, for that matter, did you ever remember getting a "Certificate of Authenticity", for that Human Body you "live in"? In my opinion, it's YOU that makes yourself Authentic.

Friday, March 4, 2016

Word for the Day: Friday, March 4, 2016

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation. So how do you interpret any Unions you are part of? What part do you play in it? What part do other people play in it? If the one, most often thought of (Labor Union), what benefits came from the negotiations, between the representatives of, both the Union and the Corporation? Can you see how, just one person complaining can be ignored, but the entire work crew complaining, can not? Lots of questions. And why not?

Thursday, March 3, 2016

Word for the Day: Thursday, March 3, 2016

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization. A Social Union? A Union that Socializes? I like the 2nd one better, because, even if you an another consider themselves "a matched set:, they definitely would do well, to be social with other people. And I'm talking about physically meeting other people, not "just" interacting on, say, Facebook.

Wednesday, March 2, 2016

Word for the Day: Wednesday, March 2, 2016

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration. A "concentrated" Union? Concentration ON a Union? I like the second better. Because, according to more than one "teaching" that I've followed, "we get what we concentrate [or focus] on". By the way, I liked the Game Show, called "Concentration".

Word for the Day: Tuesday, March 1, 2016

The Word for [... ahem ...] Yesterday (Tuesday) "was" Acceptability. And how acceptable was it, for me to be so swamped, that I missed yesterday? But an acceptable Union? Sure! for a relationship (including both personal and professional), mutual benefit is good. Great communication is great. Both sides honoring the individuality of each other is (in my opinion), Awesome!
