Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

The Word for Yesterday (Tuesday) is Prudence.

Holy Moly, Kenneth Wayne Parker (206-307-6757)

If Lighted, I'm not afraid and and would appreciate the call. If "Unlighted" [if you catch my drift], "Go make my day! I can stop a Mugger with Voice Commands only, as I'm a Class 1 Troubleshooter [Sorry, Lani!]. And, due to a bit of Spiritual discipline from Column A, as well as a heaping serving of Life Experience from Column B, I'll be able to tell, at least within the fifth paragraph if you are a "Rabid Dark Forces male, female, or androgynous". There is one exception to Darkies that I WILL accept: The spy who plays nice with me, to try to figure me out. I welcome that call because friendship is friendship, even if counterfeit. For instance, those "pretty spies" in those James Bond movies must have been pleasant for Mr. Bond, even if he was in severe danger of a knife in the ribs! Oh, and ribbing some of my "former friends", MUCH better than the "Silent Treatment". ;-)

Now, comments please!!! Am I prudent? (Please note that I didn't go overboard, such as with SSN, like the owner of that Identity Theft who parades one of those "information trucks" with his SSN in lights). :-)

Word for the Day: Monday, February 22, 2010

The Word for the Day is Innocence.

And BOY do I feel innocent! So dreadfully innocent that I was openly allowed to do a drive-through with Seattle Police the first time through Community Police Accademy, here in Seattle. Now that the papers have been signed with the National office for "Guardian Angels" in Brooklyn, New York, well, I expect to have fun having my Spleen next to my Heart, next time I get between a "Cripps, or Blood", who wants to pick a fight with a pretty lady. He [always male, so don't get on my case, ladies] will deal with me, simultaneously "squishy" and "surprisingly strong", as well.

And if anybody has any qualms about me, just let me state, for the record, that I can operate an Avatar Body with both hands behind my back, and my spinning counter-clockwise as a Sufi Whirling Dervisch. Body, did THAT one supprise the folks at a Yoga place a few blocks from my Seattle Apartment. (Trust me when I state, in a full, deadpan drawl, that "most people lie down in bed to operate an Avatar body. But I'm learning how to multi-task. Another one I was recently able to pull off was washing dishes, while operating a San Francisco female body. And NO, she's not single, but has a most loving relationship with a fellow employee of Lawrence Livermore National Labs!)

Oh!!! Addendum: They let me give you her first name, Theresa! She can hold her own at Mensa meetings, by the way.

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 21, 2010

The Word for Today is Forgiveness.

We've recently seen some celebrities seek forgiveness. So let me try. :-)

I humbly ask forgiveness for the recent episodes of "Hoof in Mouth Disease" that has triggered "bumpiness" in a lot of friendships, as well as real stresses with my family.

Well, if you have something to ask forgiveness for, I suggest just taking responsibility and do it!

Weekly Theme: Week of February 21-27, 2010

The Theme for this Week is Philosophy.

What does it mean to be Philosophical? In the Michael Teachings, "Old Soul" is often equated to "Philosophical Awareness" [I hope -- I might have made that up!] But, regardless, in the prior sentence, Philosophical is as opposed to "Relationship-oriented", which seems to equate to "Mature Soul".

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 20, 2010

The Word for Today is Authenticity.

Am I real, or am I "memorex" [such as a Sims 3 computer program or some such]? The world needs to know! :-)

Actually, all of you probably need to go through questioning such as this. However, know that the most important one to be Authentic to is yourself.

Friday, February 19, 2010

Word for the Day: Friday, February 19, 2010

The Word for Today is Interpretation.

One of my favorite book/movie series' is "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", by Douglas Adams. One "concept", meant to make the writing process easier, was the Babelfish, allowing everyone that has one in his/her ear, to understand any language in the Galaxy.

Where do I get one? :-)

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 18, 2010

The Word for Yesterday was Socialization.

As they say, "No One is an Island to Him/Herself". True enough: We all need Socialization. Perhaps, one day, I'll figure out how to do it. :-)

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Word for the Day, Wednesday, February 17, 2010

The Word for Today, Wednesday, is Concentration.

Did you know that Scholars might be able to Concentrate more intently than any other Michael Role?

(I don't have "documentary proof" for that, but am completely convinced, due to my own experiences).

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 16, 2010

The Word for Today is Acceptability.

Actually, this word has a practical meaning for me, as I'll be taking Greyhound from Seattle to Vancouver, BC, to meet with a dear female friend who's also a Quantum Physicist.

Don't worry, she's leaving her car at home, and will accompany me on Public Transit, which I believe is quite good. (Unlike the United States, Canada as a good regard for Infrastructure).

(We won't actually see the Olympics, unless we get incredibly lucky, but will research [Scholar] how bad something like the Winter Olympics can snarl a Canadian city).

Word for the Day: Monday, February 15, 2010

The Word for Today is Generosity.

I'm experiencing a whole new meaning of Generosity, that it works both ways. Now, Essence [or "higher self", or "soul", a highly misunderstood word, by the way] has always been quite generous to me. However, Essence doesn't deal directly with, say, paper money or the Banking establishment. But finally, once I got neutral on a Self Karma (in effect, that I'm a piece of dirt to be thrown out with the garbage), people are treating me differently. Like night into day.

Please ask me, through the Comment form or my email address [see my Profile]. I absolutely love questions to death!

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 14, 2010

The Word for Today is Sharing.

A good question to ask that person staring back at you in the mirror is, "What percent of myself can I share today?"

It is wonderful how well this word fits in with the themes for this week, Education and Teaching, both of which are great ways to share of yourself.

Weekly Themes: Week of February 14-20, 2010

The Themes for this Week are Education and Teaching.

These are both extremely important topics, as what a child learns determines his/her character.

Teaching is a wonderful job for older people with a lot of life experience. It can also easily be a second career.

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Words for the Day: Saturday, February 13th, 2010

The Words for Today are Overview and Perspective.

These are both "Big Picture" words, adding a Kingly feel to my Scholar/Artisan roles that make up the author of this BLOG. In the negative pole, they help account for the fact that I've started numerous projects, yet completed few! :-)

Explanation of the prior paragraph for students of the Michael Teachings: My "Michael Address", from the top down, is Energy Ring 17 (which I believe makes up the majority of the students of the Michael system), Cadre 1, Entity 3, Love side, and address # 567. In other words, I am in the Sage Communications Block, Scholar Row (with Global Job of Mediation) and King Column, with Community Responsibility of today's words.

Question for any Michael Teachers who read this BLOG: "Does this mean that, if I look in the 'right place', I have housing I wouldn't have to pay rent for? I'm serious, Michael teachers! Poverty is not a very pleasant place to be".

Friday, February 12, 2010

Word for the Day: Friday, February 12, 2010

The Word for Today is Reflection.

Now we get into Mirror issues. For example, one of my favorite "Retro books" is "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll, written in 1871, but still a great story today.

I most certainly have dreamed, more than once, of slipping through mirrors. Some of those dreams have been Lucid, allowing me detailed exploration of the other reality.

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Word for the Day: Thursday, February 11, 2010

The Word for Today is Study.

This is what is needed before a class in school. But it's possible to study anytime in your life. What are you interested in? I find Google a great tool for finding information on just about any topic.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 10, 2010

The Word for Today is Absorption.

Whatever you think about the meaning of this day, please don't do what I did: Absorb a Migraine headache at 4:20 am this morning, on a 1-10 pain scale of 9. Yup! Couldn't think clearly, called 911, Ambulance, and the Harborview Medical Center Emergency Room. They gave me something injected, that allowed me to float away, and for the pain level to decrease to 4 (and later 3).

The folks at Harborview questioned me about driving "in my condition". They were elated that I do not own a car, and was planning to take Metro Transit home, when they finally let me out at about 11:15 am.

I have no idea of what they gave me. What causes a floating sensation? Demerol?
Whatever it is, I'm sure they won't be making a practice of giving me something so "floaty". Just say no to dependence on drugs!

Monday, February 8, 2010

Word for the Day: Monday, February 8, 2010

The Word for Today is Experimentation.

This is one of my favorite words, with a science feel to it. In the Michael teachings, it blends the Scholar and Artisan roles. (Indeed, the "trio" this time is Scholar, Scholar, Artisan. I love it to death!)

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Word for the Day: Sunday, February 7, 2010

The Word for Today is Recognition.

It is always helpful to recognize those who help us. Of course, it is also helpful to recognize those we have trouble with, to avoid future trouble. Which of these is more important?

Weekly Theme: Week of February 7-13, 2010

The Theme for this Week is Retention.

Our memory is our personal tool for Retention. It appears that people are selective in what they choose to remember. Also, there is short term memory (which often suffers in medical situations) and long term memory, and in-between. There are mental exercises to improve memory.

Saturday, February 6, 2010

Word for the Day: Saturday, February 6, 2010

The Word for Today is Resolve.

I am showing the Resolve to evolve, regardless of what others think. I suggest you consider that also.

Friday, February 5, 2010

Word for the Day: Friday, February 5, 2010

The Word for Today is Courage.

Be like the Cowerdly Lion from the Wizard of Oz! By the end of the movie, he was the most courageous one of them all.

Seriously, be brave enough to be youself. That was my biggest lesson.

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Words for the Day: Thursday, February 4, 2010

There are Two Words for Today: Strength and Empowerment.

Do you feel empowered? I'm finally finding a bit of my own inner strength and power.

Once more, I recommend Yoga to find your own Strength and Empowerment.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Word for the Day: Wednesday, February 3, 2010

The Word for Today is Competence.

How good are you at your job? Do you enjoy it? These questions can be important in your life. Think about it.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Word for the Day: Tuesday, February 2, 2010

The Word for Today is Endurance.

I have to admit that this is not my favorite word, as I've had to endure some pretty unpleasant experiences through the last few years.

People remind me of what will help: Endurance training at a gym. Also, yoga.

Monday, February 1, 2010

Word for the Day: Monday, February 1, 2010

The Word for Today is Fertility.

What does Fertility mean to you? There is obviously the biological meaning (i.e. "be fruitful and multiply"). But there are other meanings also, as I've brought up before, such as a fertile imagination.
