Word for the Day: Friday, July 30, 2021

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.  Diplomatic Liberation?   (Google has 11.7 million hits, mainly calling it  "the Diplomacy of Liberation").  So if you are stuck, say in a war, look for a Diplomatic Solution.   And this will Liberate you?   (It may not be as simple as that, but a start).

Thursday, July 29, 2021

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 29, 2021

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.  A Wise Diplomat?  (The Best kind!)   So how do we develop and maintain Wisdom in our Lives?  Of course, the  "right Books" can help, as well as certain  "weekend Seminars".  But keep in mind the importance of good, straight out Life Experience.

Wednesday, July 28, 2021

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 28, 2021

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.   Impartial Diplomacy?   (Probably the best kind).   Now, we look for Impartiality frequently, often with regard to our News Industry.   However, please note that  *that*  is, where you are least likely to find it, as we  *all* have opinions.

Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 27, 2021

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.  Does Diplomacy have Consequences?  (Of Course, but so does a LACK of Diplomacy).   But then, Life itself has Consequences.   You live with Consequences every day.  Think about that.

Monday, July 26, 2021

Word for the Day: Monday, July 26, 2021

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.  Eliminating Diplomacy?   (Please No!)  But Eliminating, what stands in the way of Diplomacy, such as Open Aggression?  That sounds much better.  What do we want to see on the News?

Sunday, July 25, 2021

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 25, 2021

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.   A Self-Reliant Diplomat?   (Yes!)   Actually, Self-Reliance is a good trait for anyone to develop, but keep in mind that we are NOT alone.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 25-31, 2021

The Theme for this Week is Diplomacy.  So what does Google say about Diplomacy?  It is  "the profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations, typically by a country's representatives abroad".  Okay.   And, of course performed by a Diplomat?   Again, according to Google, a Diplomat is  "an official representing a country abroad".  That said, I propose that there are more informal meanings.  For example, I believe that, as a Child, I often acted as a Diplomat between my Mother and Father, who often didn't get along very well.  So you, too, may be a Diplomat somewhere, in your life.

Saturday, July 24, 2021

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 24, 2021

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.   Expanded Dialogue?  (Certainly!)   But Expansion doesn't always go well, especially if, what is being expanded is the Middle of the Body  (often triggered by lots of Delicious Food).   Be Selective.

Friday, July 23, 2021

Words for the Day: Friday, July 23, 2021

The Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.  Trusting your Dialogue about Intercourse?  And having Faith in something?  (Certainly!)

Thursday, July 22, 2021

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 22, 2021

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.  Gratitude for Intercourse?  (Was it good for you too?)   Good Dialogue before, during and after?   All of these are Important.

Wednesday, July 21, 2021

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 21, 2021

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.   And approaching something as Earth Shattering as the usual Connotation of Intercourse is  *only*  okay, if both parties partake Equally, with good Dialogue before, during and after.  And once again, the Dialogue part  *must* be able to include the word  "No".

Tuesday, July 20, 2021

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 20, 2021

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.  Prudent Intercourse?  (Absolutely!)   And good Dialogue is an important part of this, even if  "No", or  "Not yet" is part of it.   Remember that Prudence has to do with Practicality.

Monday, July 19, 2021

Word for the Day: Monday, July 19, 2021

The Word for Today (Monday) is Innocence.  Innocent Intercourse?   (Wow!)   Dialogue with those who might question said Innocence?  Now good Dialogue between the people involved could solve all of this, even if the word No was involved.

Sunday, July 18, 2021

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 18, 2021

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Forgiveness.   And Dialogue can be a way to ask Forgiveness for the latest experience of Intercourse.   But then, if all was well, we would have been Communicating, during the entire experience.

Weekly Themes: Week of July 18-24, 2021

The Themes for this Week are Intercourse and Dialogue.  So how are these related to each other?   Well, Intercourse  (as it is usually thought of)  is a sort of, non-verbal Dialogue.  Could we call it  "Sexual Communication"?  Also, I have to point out that there are other sorts of Intercourse, such as Social Intercourse  (which has, surprisingly, 70.7 million hits on Google).   Fancy that!

Saturday, July 17, 2021

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 17, 2021

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity.  Authentic Humor?  (Like those Plates, made by the Franklin Mint?)  But a more important Question is, if  YOU are Authentic?  Do you have a Certificate of Authenticity?  How about the Birth Certificate?   (It was not good enough for Puerto Rico, where I was Born.  But somehow, it had to do).   Just be Authentic to Yourself.

Friday, July 16, 2021

Word for the Day: Friday, July 16, 2021

The Word for Today (Friday) is Interpretation.  So how do you Interpret Humor?  Let's see:   Break out an "English-Joke / Joke-English Dictionary?"  And do they teach Stand-up Comedy in College?  (I'll Major in Hyperbolic Comedy, and Minor in Deadpan Humor).   Hey!   Where's the Interpreter?

Thursday, July 15, 2021

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 15, 2021

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Socialization.  Social Humor?   Why not?   Don't we tell Jokes in Social Situations?   (It doesn't work quite as well if you are only telling yourself Jokes).   So Be Social!

Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 14, 2021

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Concentration.  Concentrated Humor?   (Yeah, just add Water!)   How about Concentrated Reality?  Are we even ready for such a thing?

Tuesday, July 13, 2021

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 13, 2021

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Acceptability.  Acceptable Humor?  Okay, perhaps this would be easier to understand, if we take on  *Unacceptable* Humor.  For example, kicking somebody in the Shin, laughing, and then asking him, "What's wrong?  Don't you have a Sense of Humor?"  (I call that Cruelty with Laughter).  So Be Acceptable!

Monday, July 12, 2021

Word for the Day: Monday, July 12, 2021

The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity.  Humorous Generosity?  [or]   Generous Humor?  (I'll take Door Number Two!)   But Generosity stands on its own also, even helping the World go around.   But then, so does Humor.

Sunday, July 11, 2021

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 11, 2021

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing.  And yes, Sharing your Humor sounds like a good thing to do.  But use discretion, as timing is important, where Humor is involved.  For example, telling a joke during a National Disaster might just be bad timing, especially if you are making fun of the National Disaster.   But, if the timing is right, Share and Share alike.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 11-17, 2021

The Theme for this Week is Humor.  Do you have a Sense of Humor?  Let's rephrase that:   Do you know what Humor means?   Let's ask Google  (which might be the biggest Joke yet).  Google says that Humor is  "the quality of being amusing or comic, especially as expressed in literature or speech".  Maybe it might be easier to understand a  LACK of Humor.  You could be  "overly serious"  (though that might also come out as  "Deadpan Humor").  Another term for someone without humor is a  "Sad Sack".  You don't want that, now do you?

Saturday, July 10, 2021

Words for the Day: Saturday, July 10, 2021

The Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.  How would you like to be the Mediator between Overview and Perspective?  Wouldn't that require a lot of Perspective into the Overview of whatever is going on?  Sounds like fun.

Friday, July 9, 2021

Word for the Day: Friday, July 9, 2021

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.  Reflecting on my Reflection in the Mirror?  Mediating on that Reflection?   And where does the Mirror come in?   Think about that!

Thursday, July 8, 2021

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 8, 2021

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.  "I am Studying the topic of Mediation, in my Study".   I could leave it at that, but I will add that, due to the HUGE number of Topics that CAN be Studied, you need to be Selective.   And try to have fun too.

Wednesday, July 7, 2021

Word for the Day: Wednesday, July 7, 2021

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.  Absorbing a Mediator?   (Careful!   You might need his/her Services!)   Mediating Absorption?   (Absorber and Absorbee?)  I got an interesting  "Discussion" on Google by plugging in  "who absorbs".   But people who Absorb incorrectly might need a Mediator.

Tuesday, July 6, 2021

Word for the Day: Tuesday, July 6, 2021

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review.  Mediating Review?  [or]  Reviewing Mediation?  (Not the same!)   But Review is a large part of Life, sometimes of little things, such as Shopping Trips, but often of larger things, like Days, Weeks and even Lifetimes.  So Review well.

Monday, July 5, 2021

Word for the Day: Monday, July 5, 2021

The Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation.  Experimental Mediation?   (41.4 million hits on Google!  The main ones mention  "Social Psychology").  My take is that  ALL of Life is Experimental, which would then include Mediation.   So why not look at Life, like a Chemistry Lab?

Sunday, July 4, 2021

Word for the Day: Sunday, July 4, 2021

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition.   Recognizing Mediation?   Mediating Recognition?   (Definitely not the same).  When you see a Friend, do you Recognize him or her?  Enough to remember the name?  It is definitely a trait to develop and maintain.

Weekly Theme: Week of July 4-10, 2021

The Theme for this Week is Mediation.  So what does Google Say?   Mediation is  "intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it".  Simple enough.   Another word for it is Arbitration.   It is something Corporations often experience.  On a personal level, Marriages can involve this process.  Just call it a "Diplomatic Solution".

Saturday, July 3, 2021

Word for the Day: Saturday, July 3, 2021

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve.   "I Resolve to Cooperate to keep my Resolve".   As you can see from my Example, Resolve can be, either a Noun or a Verb.  Which one makes more sense, from our Point of View is not clear.   However, it is good to know that you can make Resolutions at any time, not just the New Year.

Friday, July 2, 2021

Word for the Day: Friday, July 2, 2021

The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage.  Do you have the Courage to Cooperate?  Now realize that Cooperation is a Two-Way Street.  If one side tries to force it, it's not Cooperation, but Capitulation.  Don't go there.

Thursday, July 1, 2021

Word for the Day: Thursday, July 1, 2021

The Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment.  Do you Know your own Strength?   Do you feel Empowered?   You should!
