Word for the Day: Friday, December 31, 2010

The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness.

And, yes, let's be kind to our Archives. History is quite important, you see, as things re-occur in cycles. And one period in history can look quite close to an earlier or later period in history.

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 30, 2010

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement.

First off, encouragement requires courage. But I also refer back to Archives (the theme), because Archives (i.e. libraries) needs all of the encouragement they can get.

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 29, 2010

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness.

To tie this with Archives (our Theme), think Public Library. And, yes, it is good to be thoughtful in one of those: Think before you act or (especially) speak, and speak in a quiet voice.

In general, thoughtful means full of thought.

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 28, 2010

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Support.

Tying this to our theme, Archives turns the words around a bit: Support your local Archive. A Public Library will do. Why? Because of the need to learn from History, lest we excessively repeat it.

Monday, December 27, 2010

Word for the Day: Monday, December 27, 2090

The Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort.

The funny thing: Archives (think public libraries) are often quite comfortable places to be.

One more thing: Are you comfortable with yourself? That is the most lasting version of comfort.

Sunday, December 26, 2010

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 26, 2010

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Nourishment.

How could archives be nourishing? Except for the mind?

Remember, folks, nourishment doesn't only mean the physical body!

Weekly Theme: Week of December 26 to January 1, 2011

The Theme for this Week is Archives.

So who have been the record keepers, through the ages? The Scholars, of course! Only the Scholars, as the other Michael Roles have other agendas.

This marks the beginning of a new 7 week Michael Month with a Scholar flavor, to replace the prior, Warrior Michael Month.

Saturday, December 25, 2010

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 25, 2010

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity.

Tying this to Strategy (theme), it takes careful strategy to maintain Prosperity. And, to turn it around, maintaining prosperity is a major enhancement to a good strategy.

Finally, to any readers who acknowledge Christianity: I wish you a most prosperous Christmas!

Friday, December 24, 2010

Word for the Day: Friday, December 24, 2010

The Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation.

What would a "Strategy of Liberation" mean? How about an attempt to Liberate your Strategy?

My own strategy is to liberate myself from boxes and/or prisons I've created in my own life.

Thursday, December 23, 2010

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 23, 2010

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom.

Wisdom is extremely important to Strategy (our Theme). However, you don't get it from Cliff Notes! You don't even get much of it from book reading. (A little, perhaps). So how do you get Wisdom? From hard (often harsh) life experience, including learning from your own mistakes. In other words, 2 percent inspiration and 98 percent perspiration.

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 22, 2010

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Impartiality.

Impartiality is an interesting strategy to use, where all sides of an issue are considered. It is also a difficult thing to find in our current news.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 21, 2010

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Consequence.

Strategies have consequences. It takes strategy to handle consequences. Yawn!

However, when these things are happening in your own life, they can be, of course, quite intense! And it's not kind to belittle Karma.

Monday, December 20, 2010

Word for the Day: Monday, December 20, 2010

The Word for Today (Monday) is Elimination.

How does this jibe with Strategy (our Theme)? Strategic Elimination? I was at the wrong end of that, more than once, during corporate layoffs!

I'll fall back on what I've said often: Eliminate what doesn't work in your life.

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 19, 2010

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Self-Reliance.

It certainly takes a good plan of action (Strategy, theme) to be able to make Self-Reliance work. And, it takes a self-reliant person to be able to create effective strategies. Paradox? Maybe.

Weekly Theme: Week of December 19-25, 2010

The Theme for this Week is Strategy.

One way I've heard the word Strategy used is as it compares with Tactics. I used to play Chess (and still can, but don't find willing opponents very often). It certainly uses both Strategy and Tactics.

According to Wikipedia, Strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal. To compare, a Tactic is a conceptual action.

Now, try applying these to your own lives, especially the part you have control over (yourself).

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 18, 2010

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Expansion.

To tie this in with our Theme, how about expanding your usefulness? It is certainly better than expanding your girth.

State of the Planet Address available now

The Michael Educational Foundation recently (12/03/2010) held a session on what's in store for our planet in the year 2011.

The top post on the front page of the above link currently gives information on how to get a transcript of this address. (It won't last forever, however).

Words for the Day: Friday, December 17, 2010

The two Words for Today (Friday) are Trust and Faith.

It is extremely Useful (theme for the week) to remember that Trust must be earned, and Faith must not be blind.

Trust inwardly, such as in your own perceptions. Be careful about outward trust (such as in other people around you), unless you are sure.

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 16, 2010

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Gratitude.

I've shared already that I went through some difficult days on an out-of-town trip (yes, folks, San Francisco is turning into a "rough city". And I used to love it).

There were several individuals that helped me through this time period. I have the ultimate gratitude towards every one of them. Thank you to all of you that helped me!

Show gratitude to those who helped you through difficult situations today, please.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 15, 2010

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Equality.

I guess we would love to be "equally useful" in this world. (Usefulness is the theme for this week). What I don't want to see in my corner of the world is being forced to conform to others around me, especially my thoughts. (Yes, folks, "Thought Crime" is active, especially in some religions. For example, a Presbyterian Church I used to attend had, on the program one Sunday, the words, "Many Bodies, One Mind"!)

That said, I'll repeat a mantra of mine: "Equal Opportunity for All"!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Word for the Day: Tuesday, December 14, 2010

The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Prudence.

I have just "Prudently" caught up on my volunteer tasks, passing along my knowledge of Transits that are pretty close to Astrological Transits, except that, in my humble opinion, these Michael Transits are stronger than the Astrological ones. However, I could easily be wrong about the relative strengths. :-)

Word for the Day: Monday, December 13, 2010

The Word for Yesterday (Monday) was Innocence.

I guess it's easier to be Useful if you are Innocent of gross felonies! :-)

Now, I am just about caught up, and will have today's word (next post) in 5 minutes before midnight.

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 12, 2010

The Word for Today (Sunday) was Forgiveness.

Will you people give me some slack, and forgive me for missing these last several days of the Michael Transits Daily Word? :-)

Weekly Theme: Week of December 12-18, 2010

The Theme for this Week is Usefulness.

Earlier in my life, one of my worst fears was that, when I was "trying to help", I would only "get in the way". See, if I'm in the way, I'm not "Useful".

Fortunately, I'm more pragmatic about when to "try to help", and when to really help out, which, in the second case, is when my knowledge is spot on what needs to be done.

Catchup Post: Monday, 12/06 to Saturday, 12/11/2010

Hello again,

I figured out that details of being stranded in the Bay Area outside of Internet Access is not needed. But this, as opposed to Facebook or Twitter, is the only place where I will catch people up on what the energies were on days I couldn't access the Internet:

1. Monday, 12/06/2010: Word was Generosity.

2. Tuesday, 12/07/2010: Word was Acceptability.

3. Wednesday, 12/08/2010: Word was Concentration. (Try it sometime).

4. Thursday, 12/09/2010: Word was Socialization.

5. Friday, 12/10/2010: Word was Interpretation.

6. Saturday, 12/11/2010: Word was Authenticity.

Hopefully, I'll be able to keep these sorts of things from happening in the future.

Thank you all and best regards,

Ken Parker, Seattle, WA

Explanation for not updating this BLOG...

Apologies for being behind in my Words for the Day posts.

I was in an "unusual spot" (details to follow), and was unable to access the Internet at all. But please note that life goes on without computers. Really! And I suggest taking time to commune with nature, even if you are "out of range". :-)

Thank you and best regards,

Word for the Day: Sunday, December 5, 2010

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Sharing. Sharing is good, but practical sharing is great!

Weekly Themes, Week of December 5 - 11, 2010

The Themes for this Week are Economy and Practicality, none of which I experienced in the last few days in San Francisco.

Word for the Day: Saturday, December 4, 2010

The Two Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective.

I am a tapestry of life (and so are you!) So, that said, sometimes my "Aspects" have to change, to match the circumstances. [Look up Aspects in the Seth Teachings websites, found on Google: books by Jane Roberts. Especially her book, "Adventures in Consciousness"].

So, guess what? An "Essence Aspect" has to temporarily "be human" for a week or so, without the the ability to "float in the air, like the Spores in the movie, "Avatar". Boy oh boy, is that a lesson!!!! But why do I have to do this? Because the "Aspect" that finds out something (see earlier days, or my Green Libertarian Party Blog for details) has to be the one who passes it on to others.

So, lots of "Executive Summaries" for "Head Bonk Ken" (Aspect name) to learn social skills, as well as the special "dialect" for San Francisco. Wish me luck!

Thank you and best regards,

Kenneth Parker (normally "Sleepless in Seattle", but in San Francisco until next Tuesday).

Word for the Day: Friday, December 3, 2010

The Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection.

My usage of this word, today, has to do with Mirrors. I'm living in a Mirror Chamber right now, in a REAL strange reality, mostly Essence, but with connection to Physical Reality, through a Sims 3 computerized Avatar.

OK. That said, let's link to a post on my Green Libertarian Party BLOG, where I explain problems occurring in the United States Political realm.

Reflect yourself wisely! :-)

Word for the Day: Thursday, December 2, 2010

The Word for Today (Thursday) is Study.

Organizations often have a library, which they might call a "Study", which is a noun. Also, people who want to rise in the ranks of an Organization often have to "Study" to be able to make the grade. (And Management training is a Bitch!)

My own Organization? How about the Green Libertarian Party [1]for starters? Read my article[2], where I challenge the BP managers to stare Oil Soaked Birds in the eyeballs, while they state, clearly for the record, why their stockholders need a dividend! :-)

Have fun, folks! To my followers in the Michael community, I will be attending, in person, the December 3rd State of the Planet address[3] in Orinda, CA[4].

Lest you think Planet Earth doesn't have resources to deal with "useless destroyers", who, for example, would tear down rain forests in South America and Africa, rent the movie, The Happening (2008)[5].

Word for the Day: Wednesday, December 1, 2010

The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption.

What does it mean to play the role of a Sponge in an organization? What does it mean to organize data that is absorbed from the environment around you?

In both cases, there are multiple answers.
