Word for the Day: Friday, July 4, 2015

The Word for Today (Saturday) is Authenticity. In the care of a project (which brings in our Themes), you first want to be working on an "Authentic Project" which, in my years in the computer industry is not a given, especially when the requirements of the "End User" (who will be directly benefiting from the project) get drastically changed by your chain of management, before the project is given to (or "precipitated upon") you. And that's a major reason I wish to look at the original documents, from the requesting (or end user) department, so that I can challenge my supervisors, when these documents don't match the "Final Design" documents.

Now that was a bit more complex than I wanted. Let's paraphrase: Sort of like, if a person wants a house built, and says to put the Kitchen next to the Dining Room. But the managers of the builders themselves change the "Design", so as to put a full bathroom between the kitchen and dining area.  Not very authentic anymore, right?
