Word for the Day: Saturday, September 30, 2017
The Word for Today (Saturday) is Resolve. And yes, I know the old Joke: "I Resolve to keep my Resolve"! But, perhaps better than that would be, "I Resolve to Cooperate with others, better". Because Cooperation helps the World Turn Around (quite Literally, it seems!) And, finally, Resolve to have fun, in the process.

Word for the Day: Friday, September 29, 2017
The Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. Now, it certainly takes Courage to form a Cooperative Relationship with someone, especially if you don't agree on certain "issues". But, please note that it can *also* take Courage, to form a Competitive Relationship with someone. (Say, you are running against this other person in a Political race). There can be common ground, especially if you have common interests, with the person you are competing with. This can help foster cooperation, in other areas of life, than where the actual "competition" occurs.
Words for the Day: Thursday, September 28, 2017
The Words for Yesterday (Thursday) were Strength and Empowerment. Both of these help, a great deal with Cooperation, since you can enter the "Cooperative Relationship", in a "strong and assertive" manner. But there is a funny thing: These two Words also help, with the opposite of Cooperation, "Competition". So you are covered, either way.

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 27, 2017
The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Competence. Are you Competent to Cooperate? (Or, for that matter, are you Competent to, effectively Compete?) Wow, what questions to ask: We might as well ask if we are competent to exist! (Well, are you? LOL!)
Tuesday, September 26, 2017
Word for the Day: Tuesday, September 26, 2017
The Word for Today (Tuesday) is Endurance. Cooperative Endurance? (What? Like Tag Teams?) Now, I *will* suggest that extended periods of Cooperation are *much* easier to Endure, than extended periods of Competition. Why? Because it just "feels good" to work together with other people. And, in my opinion, it's also more fun. And, most importantly, you accomplish *much* more.

Word for the Day: Monday, September 25, 2017
The Word for Today (Monday) is Fertility. Now, practically by definition, Fertility is a "Cooperative Endeavor". Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way, since some people seem to, even enjoy forcing themselves on others. It's called, in some circles, "Love of Power". Often, the best first step is simple: "Just Say No!"
Sunday, September 24, 2017
Word for the Day: Sunday, September 24, 2017
The Word for Today (Sunday) is Stability. A Stable Cooperative? (As opposed to a chaotic one?) [or] Cooperative Stability? (This one might work!) Anyway (in my opinion), a Stable Environment is great for Cooperation!
Weekly Theme: Week of September 24-30, 2017
The Theme for this Week is Cooperation. So what is this, besides the opposite of Competition? Google says it is "the process of working together to the same end". My take? There are many levels of "end": Anything from a cooperative project by two people, to the Shared Goal of World Peace. In between, includes things like corporate goals, such as improving productivity or opening a new, Branch Office. One thing about Cooperation that I've noticed over the years: You tend to make a lot more friends this way, than you likely would, with Competition.
Word for the Day: Saturday, September 23, 2017
The Word for Yesterday (Saturday) was Release. If the Blood, in your Circulatory System is blocked, finding a way to Release it, is be a matter of Life and Death. But, even if your life isn't in such dire straits, finding ways to Release yourself from the ordinary Blocks and Barriers of life, is quite beneficial.

Word for the Day: Friday, September 22, 2017
The Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. I can imagine it now: "I Aspire to be the Best, Circulatory System as I can". And why not treat your Body Organs as Intelligent beings? (I regularly hold dialogues with mine!) Have a good Weekend, at least as best you can.
Thursday, September 21, 2017
Word for the Day: Thursday, September 21, 2017
The Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. And yes, before any of you do, I'll acknowledge the fact that, in a Medical Test, Contrast Fluid can be Circulating through your Body. (It felt itchy afterwards: Avoid this test, if you routinely can). But do, take into account the level of Contrast in your life. Because too little contrast can seem Boring, yet too much Contrast can get, downright scary!

Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 20, 2017
The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. An Adaptable (Flexible) Circulatory System> Well, some times, blood can be thick and other times, it can be thin. Simple as that! And it works elsewhere too: How well do your Library Books circulate, for example? Do they stagnate in the Stacks? Or do people in the community read these books and, even better, hold meetings about their content?
Tuesday, September 19, 2017
Words for the Day: Tuesday, September 19, 2017
The Words for Today (Tuesday) are Agility and Grace. And you, most certainly want an Agile, as well as Graceful Circulatory System, whether it is in your body, or in your Community (such as the Circulatory System of the Public Library). I'm still recovering from Yesterday's Mistake but, if it had to be made, I'm glad it was with a word as good as Generosity!
Monday, September 18, 2017
Word for the Day: Monday, September 18, 2017
The *Real* Word for Yesterday (Monday) was Acceleration. Sorry, folks, though I *Really* wanted it to be Generosity! But you only need to wait Three Weeks, to re-experience Generosity. But, that said, I guess Accelerated Circulation must be good for Something!
-----------------------------------
For historical purposes, the incorrect entry follows, in Italics:
-----------------------------------
The Word for Today (Monday) is Generosity. Generous Circulation? [or] Circulating Generosity? (Both make *some* sense, but I like the second one better). But remember that Generosity helps the World go around and, often, is a way to eliminate (or at least decrease) conflicts, whether on a personal, group, or even national and international levels.

Words for the Day: Sunday, September 17, 2017
The Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance. Patient Circulation? Why not? It takes patience for everything else. In fact, patience is something that helps with everything else. And Tolerance? Tolerating what is Circulating? Again, why not?
Weekly Theme: Week of September 17-23, 2017
The Theme for this Week is Circulation. So what does this mean? According to Google, "movement to and fro or around something, especially that of fluid in a closed system". "Fluid in a Closed System?" You mean like Blood? Amazing! But not the only thing that might "circulate" in a community. How about Library Books? Does that blow your mind? Let's see how this works this week!

Word for the Day: Saturday, September 16, 2017
The Word for Today (Saturday) is Acknowledgement. Now, do we Celebrate Acknowledgment, or Acknowledge Celebrations? Both? Neither? Not cut and dried? (The latter...) By the way, just like it took Courage to Encourage last Thursday, it takes Knowledge to Acknowledge!
Friday, September 15, 2017
Word for the Day: Friday, September 15, 2017
The Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. Now Human Kindness is *Definitely* something to Celebrate, when it is found. Like, in our recent bouts with Mother Nature (which include, Internationally, Earthquakes, in addition to Hurricanes, Cyclones and Tornadoes), we find many examples of how kind people can be, when they find others, around them helpless around Mother Nature. That's what we celebrate!
Thursday, September 14, 2017
Word for the Day: Thursday, September 14, 2017
The Word for Today (Thursday) is Encouragement. So do we Celebrate Encouragement? [or] Do we Encourage Celebrations? Both *could* occur, though the Celebrations to Encourage are well-run ones, that are kind to the people around them.
Wednesday, September 13, 2017
Word for the Day: Wednesday, September 13, 2017
The Word for Today (Wednesday) is Thoughtfulness. Celebrating Thoughtfulness? [or] A Thoughtful Celebration? Both sound good, but there's something special about the second one. Because we get examples, all over the place, of thoughtless Celebrations, including Spring Break at Universities. But there's no reason things have to be this way. Think before you Speak or Act!
