Words for the Day: Saturday, May 31, 2014
The
Words for Today (Saturday) are Overview and Perspective. This is the
Cliffs Notes, or Executive Summary of Reality. You don't need to
"suffer through" the "entire process" of [topic in question], if you can
read [and/or Google] it. But I WILL caution you that experience gives
more wisdom than, say, book reading.

Word for the Day: Friday, May 30, 2014
The
Word for Today (Friday) is Reflection. This is both a deeper version of
Review (see last Tuesday), and what you see, when you look into a
mirror. Since the first variety can be a form of relaxation, it can
definitely help with conventional schooling.
Thursday, May 29, 2014
Word for the Day: Thursday, May 29, 2014
The
Word for Today (Thursday) is Study. And one comment I have about this
is being selective. What subjects excite you? Those subjects can
actually be fun to study. (Of course, if in a conventional school, you
might not be able to choose all of your subjects).
Wednesday, May 28, 2014
Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 28, 2014
The
Word for Today (Wednesday) is Absorption. And this can be an excellent
way of learning. For example, with foreign languages, it's called
"immersion training", where, after any introductions, the only language
spoken is the one being taught. So have fun, and be like a sponge! :-)
Tuesday, May 27, 2014
Word for the Day: Tuesday, May 27, 2014
The
Word for Today (Tuesday) is Review. And review helps life proceed
better, as it's a way of processing life, as you are living it. And
please honor those, who help you to do this.
Monday, May 26, 2014
Word for the Day: Monday, May 26, 2014
The
Word for Today (Monday) is Experimentation. I personally think that
life, itself is an experiment. If you are in the teaching field
(especially if providing guidance, or being a mentor, like in this
week's Theme), there are lots of opportunities for, either experimenting
on your own, or helping others with it.
Sunday, May 25, 2014

The Word for Today (Sunday) is Recognition. And yes, recognize people who help you learn, either as guides, or a mentors.
Weekly Themes: Week of May 25-31, 2014
The Themes for this Week are Guidance and Mentor. Both of these have to do with education and teaching, but tend more towards individual people. For example, many people find that having a mentor helps them survive college.
Word for the Day: Saturday, May 24, 2014
The
Word for Yesterday (Saturday) was Resolve. And resolutions can be done
at any time, not just New Years. For example, I could make a resolution
to submit these Daily Words on time.
Friday, May 23, 2014
Word for the Day: Friday, May 23, 2014
The
Word for Today (Friday) is Courage. How does this relate to
domestication (our theme)? For one, standing up for yourself,
especially if another member of the household is abusing something, like
for example alcohol. And, perhaps, having the courage to say no, when
appropriate.
Thursday, May 22, 2014
Words for the Day: Thursday, May 22, 2014
The
Words for Today (Thursday) are Strength and Empowerment. And you need
both, to thrive in a "domestic" situation. And, besides "working out in
a gym", yoga can help to develop both of these.
Wednesday, May 21, 2014
Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 21, 2014
The

mind.

imagination, as many book authors write at home.
Sunday, May 18, 2014
Word for the Day: Sunday, May 18, 2014
The

environment, where plants, animals and, of course humans (including you)
can be more comfortable in a home environment.
Weekly Theme: Week of May 18-24, 2014
The Theme for this Week is Domestication. I got a definition from a free dictionary, which gives several meanings for this Theme. Besides training animals and/or plants, to live in a human environment, there are meanings, having to do with simply feeling comfortable at home. How this fits with the Words for this Week will be interesting. Stay tuned!

The
Word for Today (Friday) is Aspiration. Now, there are more than one

be, "I aspire to be as healthy as I can".
Thursday, May 15, 2014
Word for the Day: Thursday, May 15, 2014
The
Word for Today (Thursday) is Contrast. Too much contrast can adversely
affect your health, for example, by making you more vulnerable to germs
that make you sick. On the other hand, too little contrast, for too
much time, could ALSO affect your health, by leaving you so bored, that
you might get depressed, and allow your body to suffer. Find that
contrast knob!

Word for the Day: Wednesday, May 14, 2014
The
Word for Today (Wednesday) is Adaptability. Also known as Flexibility,
this definitely helps you to stay healthy. (Here's a tool to "spot it
in the field": The flexible person adapts to his/her surroundings. The
inflexible person "asks" his/her surroundings to adapt to him/herself).
Tuesday, May 13, 2014
Words for the Day: Tuesday, May 13, 2014

in your health, of course, and both can be developed, using Yoga.

Word for the Day: Monday, May 12, 2014
The
Word for Today (Monday) is Acceleration. Health? Well, this can feel
good, to a point and (for example with a disease) accelerated healing
can work quite well. But too much acceleration in a motor vehicle can
result in a traffic ticket. Be careful.
Sunday, May 11, 2014
Words for the Day: Sunday, May 11, 2014
The
Words for Today (Sunday) are Patience and Tolerance, both of which help
with many layers of health, including physical, emotional and mental.

The Theme for this Week is Health. What does it mean to be healthy? First off, I believe it has to do with more than just the health of the body. For example, I believe that emotional and mental health is important.
Saturday, May 10, 2014

Friday, May 9, 2014
Word for the Day: Friday, May 9, 2014
The
Word for Today (Friday) is Kindness. How does this fit in with Service
(our Theme)? First off, kindness can be a service in itself, especially
if the person you are being kind to doesn't return the favor. But
also, when people DO provide good service to you, show them kindness!
Thursday, May 8, 2014
Word for the Day: Thursday, May 8, 2014
The

encourage good service. (Incidentally, you need courage to encourage).

support group.
Monday, May 5, 2014
Word for the Day: Monday, May 5, 2014
The
Word for Today (Monday) is Comfort. Comfortable service? Service of
comfort? Comfort for employees, while they are providing service to a
corporation? (The last one is often one that is neglected). The idea,
here is how many ways a Theme can go with a Word.
Sunday, May 4, 2014
Word for the Day: Sunday, May 4, 2014
The Word for Today (Sunday) is
Nourishment. "The Service of Nourishment?" Of course! If you work as a
cook, for example.
Weekly Theme: Week of May 4-10, 2014
The Theme for this Week is Service. There are so many meanings of Service, that I have lost count! One I find important is "volunteer service", that is freely offered. One question I often ask, is how the Theme goes with each of the seven Words. In this case, I believe these will fit together well. Follow with me, to see for yourself.
Saturday, May 3, 2014
Word for the Day: Saturday, May 3, 2014
The
Word for Today (Saturday) is Prosperity. Complete prosperity?
Prosperity, due to completion? And remember that Prosperity can relate
to, other than money. For example, prosperity of creativity, which
allows for lots of published works.
Friday, May 2, 2014
Word for the Day: Friday, May 2, 2014
The
Word for Today (Friday) is Liberation. "Complete Liberation"? (I like
the sound of that, by the way). How about being "liberated" from a
project, when its completion is found to be improbable? That happened, a
handful of times, during my computer career, where management wanted a
project that had multiple aspects, one of which would destroy another
aspect. (At least once, it FELT like being liberated from a sort of
prison, as I had been doing my best to complete a project, that would
have been "in a civil war with itself").
Feel free to ask questions, about this fiasco. Know that it was a technical, computer software project.

Thursday, May 1, 2014
Word for the Day: Thursday, May 1, 2014
The
Word for Today (Thursday) is Wisdom. Much as I don't like completing
projects (laziness?), I've found that wisdom frequently comes from the
experience of completion (assuming, of course, the project was worth
it).
In general, I'd say that Wisdom comes more from life experience, than from book reading.
